Good leisure facilities, nice beds, very quiet even though in a middle of a roundabout, dog friendly (although they do charge £10 which is not mentioned on the Booking.com website) Some of the information in the rooms is out of date, such as times of breakfast. Room to room intercom was not great

the hotel is well situated and of a fair standard the room was the noisiest i had ever known with what sounded like a large fan or aircon unit continuously all night

A very comfortable hotel with its own spacious car park. All of the staff were exremely friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. I would have no hesitation in staying here again. Lack of a road sign showing the access point from the very busy roundabout at Culvercross. On the first occasion, it was not easy to know which lane to use.

The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet There was not enough hangers. The furniture was old and the room needs updating. The Internet/WiFi should have been free of charge and within the cost of the hotel room. There should have been no charge for this. Breakfast should have been included in the price of the room.

Food was excellent and although I am gluten and dairy free nothing was too much trouble and my meal was still interesting and enjoyable - murder mystery event we attended was good fun.

The swimming pool and breakfast. The only thing we did not use was the restaurant facility on an evening. Plus the bar could offer a better choice of beers.

The hotel is very comfortable. The staff were very efficient and friendly, everyone smiled and greeted us. The rooms are large and well equipped - the beds are big!! The shower was fantastic. All in all a great place to stay. The only downside to the hotel was the unimaginative and limited vegetarian menu and the cost for the evening meal, which I felt was a little on the high side for what was on offer. Something with vegetables would have been better.

The location as fantastic, it as easy to find and close to cardiff. Despite being close to a busy road the rows of trees made an excellent sound breaker and the views across the water from the bar helped to make it feel like a countryside retreat. Parking was easy as the hotel has a large car park. Eating in the bar on our return to the hotel the Pizza I ordered was very tasty and the barman kindly arranged for a sandwich to be toasted for my mother. The bar staff were very friendly and keen to help. We had a lovely large room and the jacuzzi and pool were great - the leisure staff were really kind. Breakfast could have been better for us being vegetarians (I did note this whilst booking) no vegetarian sausages were available and the hash browns had been cooked in the same oil as meat/fish so we could not eat these either. A great continental breakfast was offered however so we were able to fill up before leaving. The breakfast staff were nice but kept trying to clear our table before we had finished.

Locality where we wanted to be. Very clean and comfortable. Ample parking. Food available. We had food from the bar. The seating area was cold and had to move when some other people left. The food was not served quickly. We asked for plenty of custard with a desert, and got hardly any! Hot chocolate was tepid.

As a young couple we were a bit worried that this hotel wouldn't be suitable for us but were proved wrong! Staff were absolutely lovely!! Rooms were very clean and the beds were so comfortable. My only complain is the pillows as they were a little uncomfortable but this was only minor. The lake at the rear of the hotel is beautiful. My partner also took great advantage of the facilities such as the pool, sauna and jacuzzi and loved them all! We loved this hotel So much we have booked to go back next week :) Fantastic value for money, I would highly reccomend this hotel to everyone!
