Leaking bathroom faucet
Great staff, good size room and bathroom, comfy bed.
A noisy drunk guest that woke me up at 4am!
Problems with bath overflow, continuous running water that kept you awake and noise from other guests throughout the night
Good location near the water and tram station
2 taps, 1 for cold water, 1 for hot water... not handy. Bath very slippery. No toothbrush in the bath kit.
Nice staff and decently priced food
Low pressure in the shower. Wall switches where grubby.
Location & comfy bed and plenty of room
Maid knocking on door and opening it when I wasn't dressed properly should not of entered till we had checked out
The staff made sure I got a quiet room facing the quay away from the busy main road.
The choice of dishes in the restaurant was limited so I went out to eat.
The location was good
The decor in the public areas is looking dated. The service in the restaurant was very poor in the evening
Location was great, restaurants nearby and wasn't too far from where we needed to be the next day! Staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was awful!! Food is left under heat lights to dry out and go hard! I couldn't even eat the bacon! The fruit salad was not exactly appealing to look at never mind eat!
Speed of check in/out View from dinning room Excellent location The variety and quality of the breakfast
Hotel is looking tired and in need of a makeover No gym or swimming pool Not a 4star standard in my opinion Over priced
Location and breakfast
The mattress was poor, the additional charge and quality of wifi, furniture was broken
Tv not working, main room light flickering shower poor decor dated and twenty minutes to get served at bar overall very poor
Staff are great, location for Lowry Art Gallery, Theatres and shops great, general appearance of hotel very good, plus Quays view rooms give a very pleasant outlook.
The tired looks in the rooms, ugly grouting and mouldy tiles in the bathroom, scruffy skirting boards and horrible dated free standing table and fridge container. My advice would be to scrap those two items and have just one long surface with telly and desk area on top and fridge / cupboards under.
Charging for WiFi
Proximity to our venue and the Manchester Central Arena, by taxi, car and tram
Poor service in the restaurant, had to get drinks from the bar due to the lack of attentiveness Room very tired and dated
location Walking distance to shopping Choice of eating outlets Metro tram system to city center
The hotel reception staff The dining room needs refreshing Lifts need servicing and the hotel front doors need attention Nosily fellow guests late at night after drinking in the bar coming back from night clubs.
Room, Lifts (1 broken), no easy access or signage to alternative stairs, (I had to ask staff where they were) TV remote was so worn, none of the buttons had any indication what they did, it was a case of trial and error, basically this hotel has not been refurbished for years!
Fantastic location for most of Manchester, even some outlying districts because of the tram network which is a huge advantage because of city taffic,
Noisy fellow guests who slam bedroom doors without thought, in late evening & early mornings. It`s a pity there is no Quiet night policy like Premier Inns.
Staff were friendly and efficent just not near enough of them
Breakfast service was appalling had 2 wait for 25 mns for a pot of tea however staff were trying to cope just very short staffed
Staff were very helpful, cleaners weren't imposing and we had an all round great weekend, walking distance to old trafford and tram across the road to town.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Good choice at breakfast.
Woken at 3 in the morning by men/boys running down the corridor shouting and banging. Sausages at breakfast tasted funny. Room was dated.
Food was not good value for the money
I had asked for a quiet room many weeks in advance. Upon arrival I was given a road facing room with the noise of lorries and cars thundering past. My room was changed on request. In this room the TV did not work, my room was changed again. All this was done with a smile and positive helpfullness by the front desk lady from the Far East. Thank you, I appreciate your willingness to help. It made the difference between my choosing to book again in the future or not at all.
The 4 star hotel is looking tired and dated. Rooms, Bathrooms, Lobby, lifts, TV are all tired. I think it is due a downgrade to a 3 star from its current 4 stars.
old room, not really clean, and big smell in room
great location for football matches - City or United. Transportation was quick and easy. we were skeptical when we arrived in the lobby (old and dingy) but rooms were terrific. Updated, clean and large. Overall a good experience and would recommend.
Lobby was dingy Staff unable to accommodate an early check-in (arrived 30 mins before check-in time but couldnt get a room to drop luggage and change so were very rushed getting downtown before match).
