All staff very good, particularly on reception - they where able to help with everything I asked. Couldn't have asked for more.
Rooms clean an tidy with comfy bed Staff freindly an helpful
Smell of damp as we entered hotel every time, breakfast very expensive, an bar prices to high
Convenient for City, tram across the road, also buses.
I had no bad issues at all.
Location, staff very friendly and helpful
The hotel is ready for a facelift but still worth staying at.
Staff were attentive and helpful. Location is good.
Low water pressure in room making showering unpleasant. Incerdibly slow Wi-Fi connection so not good if you are trying to work/skype/stream.
The staff were friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The shower was adequate. The breakfast was great value for money with lots of variety.
The carpets in both my room and the other member in my party's room was worn and bald in places. This let down the overall impression of the room.
Location, Comfortable Beds, Friendly Staff
The staff are more than willing to help in any way they can very friendly and good location, and very good value for money especially when they have weekend deals on
Friendly check in , recognised as a regular guest. Good evening meal and hearty breakfast.
Only one lift working and busy wait at breakfast.
We had no hot water for a shower.
Me and my partner drove down to here from London and it was a lovely stay the bed was really comfy and the staff were very friendly definitely moneys worth. recommend river view at night.
The carpet was a bit worn in places but that didnt effect my stay.
Location and good breakfast
Shabby room very dated
Nice hotel and spacious room. Value for money rate.
No AC in the room so that we have to open the window in order to be able to sleep.
staff helpful in all aspects of information re shopping . transport .restaurants
hotel doors banging in early morning
Good size room, nice location, comfortable bed and friendly staff.
No tea or coffee facilities. Expensive bar,we aren't in London!
Tired decor, no air con, no sink mixer taps which were difficult to use and noisy room without warning by staff
Driving away from the hotel
Water logged carpet, i assume the cleaner left the bathroom tap running or similar The adjoining door to the room next door was un-nerving, security/noise. Generally Tired and worn as i was when i left. Slow and costly wi-fi. Other room doors slamming loudly on both nights.
For the second time in two visits service in the restaurant let the hotel down. We booked a table for two for 17.30 with reception, but the restaurant staff were unaware of the booking. Even though we were the only people in the restaurant, and there were 3 staff in the dining room, it took 45 minutes for the first course to arrive after some prompting at 18.15 We had a theatre booking for 19.30 so when dessert had not arrived by 18.50 we decided to leave without it. I told the restaurant manager we couldn't wait any longer or we would be late for the theatre and she told me I would have to pay for the main course. I was happy to pay for what we had eaten even though the level of customer service and general awareness was very low. How long does it take to take a crème Brule out of the fridge? The waitress even admitted they were not busy! Dread to think how they would cope with a rush. Last time I stayed here I was unable to eat at the hotel as they they were catering for a large office party. Not good enough and certainly not 4 star.
Location good, trams nearby and easy access to the city centre. The room was clean and comfortable but air conditioning would have been great as it did get very hot during the night.
There was a business event on the first day we arrived and the queue for breakfast was rather long, there appeared to be not enough staff and it seemed disorganised as if they could not cope. The staff were pleasant when we did see them and have contact but it wasn't really welcoming.
For our requirements the position was very good. Quiet set back position but near main roads. Nice sized clean rooms with nice Quay views Pleasant helpful staff
Hotel interior and exterior is tired at best and somewhat tatty in places. Food generally good but not value for money. Breakfast at £11.95 is overpriced.
The room on floor 3 was much better
Rom114was dark and shabby. Poorly furnished.the bathroom is in need of a refurb The area in and around the quay is disgusting ,full of litter and rubbish.
rooms had no ac and windows had locks on them - very very hot on canal side. top tip - use a nail file to remove locks and you can open them fully wide. corridor had rippled dirty carpet and the room had threadbear carpet with damaged fittings and the pillows were like 2 underfilled sandbags! it really needs updating. its like an old travel inn! ill never go again. if you want a modern smart hotel then --AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
The location by the quays was very good
The carpet outside the second floor lift was dangerous and loose could cause a trip hazard
