Copthorne Hotel Manchester  

the hotel was very comfortable and accomodating.

stayed at this hotel before and would again ,clean friendly and good location for what i want.

checking in is a shambles ,everyone waiting for dead on 14,00 hrs is not good,something needs to be sorted on this problem not hard to work out,

The hospitality was good and warm.

The fact that I had to pay for internet while this is free in other good and cheaper hotels.

Very convenient to the activities we were in England for.

The hotel seemed noisy from our room. Not sure what is was but it sounded like numerous doors slamming, things being dropped, etc. Fortunately it didn't last through the night.

Pre-paid for b/fast but reception had room only, went for b/fast and waitress told me it wasn't booked. I said it actually had been but it had been sorted out with reception and would be paid on departure. She said she'd check with reception. She came back to table and told me it wasn't booked to which I said it had been but, again, it would be sorted out on departure. She became quite curt which annoyed me. I was with a business supplier and it was a little embarrassing. On returning to my room after breakfast I couldn't get in as both keys had been de-activated?! Coincidence??!!

Nice room decor, friendly helpful staff, close proximity to old Trafford stadium, very clean, comfy beds

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.

Facilities in the bedroom were basic. No tea-making, no fridge and no safe. The bed was comfortable but the other furniture was scruffy.

The hotel is over priced and dated, bedrooms need major refurb. We paid £96 for 1 night b&B. Not good value at all.

The hotel room and the breakfast buffet, taxis were very quick.

Rooms were lovely and clean and we had a lovely view over the quay.

good location. friendly staff. large hotel but friendly and relaxed atmosphere. excellent breakfast.

Staff were very helpful. Great location just round corner from tram into Manchester a really nice setting by the water where you can jog walk ect and there are a few restaurants and pubs along the water

Room had worn carpet the room was very hot and couldn't find how to turn down the heat. We had to open a window in the nigh and leave the curtain open which made the room very light

Room with view of waterside was spacious and well equipped. Decor a tad dated but very clean and comfortable. Only had breakfast at hotel but the ingredients used were lovely, well prepared and presented. Staff were very friendly and attentive

Mix up with booking which said I hadn't pre paid for breakfast, which I had! This lead to being asked on nth mornings for a voucher for breakfast which we didn't have! Receptionist had said problem would be rectified but obviously it hadn't been! Didn't spoil out stay though, just one if those things.

The location was excellent The tram station directly opposite the hotel a number of restaurants within walking distance

Hotel definaty not a 4 star Furnishings very dreary and drab The plumbing is very noisy The walls are paper thin - you can hear your neighbours using the bathroom! The door stays do not work subsequently doors bang very loudly especially late at night Wedding guests rand children ran rampant through the hotel late at night 2am with night club era returning at 4am so be prepared for a disturbed nights sleep

I thought the bartender at manchesters copthorne was professional, courteous and a good laugh. His name was curtis and he remains an asset to the business. Furthermore, gary the chef was a top bloke

The food was good , it was nice to have breakfast looking on to the canal basin,

I was very dissatisfied ,I phoned before booking to see if Could have have a water front room ,and I was told it would be fine.it was my partners 50th birthday surprise. To find out we was over the car park. I went to see the receptionist she was not at all help full. Regards Sue

It was clean and comphy

Was like staying in a building site, doors slamming through the day as well as nice, could not get any sleep. Could also hear the housekeeping staff hoovering and banging about. Would not stay here again

I like the location and how pleasant the staff are.

The other guests were inconsiderate. Not a reflection on the Hotel.
