Staff were good and friendly
Wine by the glass selection is limited unless you purchase a whole bottle
Booked on travel supermarket and got a good deal paid £56. Wouldn't have really wanted to pay any more!room was ready at lunchtime which was a bonus. Nice location over the quayside but was a trek uphill into the centre. A few toiletries were provided. The room was large but needed refurbing. Clean and plenty of storage. Breakfast was good value if booked beforehand. Reasonable choice. Staff were very helpful. Wifi was free if you joined the loyalty scheme.
The staff and location are fab
The cleanliness if the rooms wasn't the best and the rooms are tired and dated
EVERY THING THAT YOU WOULD EXPECT OF A 4 Star hotel
Staff very helpful
Beds could be more comfortable
The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with.
The room was cold and I was unable to adjust the temperature. The bed was like a board, the pillows lumpy and the duvet lightweight.
Room size, river view, location
Dated interior in rooms, bathroom no extractor fan, poor restaurant and bar. Cleaner left her products in our room...
location to arena and town
Breakfast was cold. No longer have a swimming pool which was one of the reasons for booking the hotel
Great view of the river
Location was excellent for views, and amenities. Parking very secure, didn't need to worry about the car
Room needed updating slightly, lack of towels, and shower was an utter xx too set to a usable temperature. Paying for the parking.
views over the river, spacious room with desk etc, equipped bathroom.
Onsite parking, speedy check in, comfortable beds, cleanliness. Staff were very friendly and professional.
I stayed for 3 nights, and for one night a private function was held in the raised foyer/seating area , on another day the same area was closed to hotel guests AGAIN because of a wedding. I feel that any functions should not restrict the guest areas, but be retained in private function rooms. Very disappointing.
Leaving on my last day!
The queue to checkin took forever. Asked for a wake up call that never happened. The hotel gym is the worst I've ever seen - no basic weights or machines other than a treadmill, bike and rower. Hotel bar is ridiculously expensive considering the glassware and spirits used etc. Food is below par. I stay in hotels each week for work and would never stay here again.
Loved window with a view for a relaxing coffee overlooking the water.
The location is outstanding, and the staff were as helpful as they could be, whilst remaining cheerful and friendly, and avoiding obsequiousness and insincerity.
There is not enough attention to the little things that make one want to return - no bathrobe, no minibar, no mineral water in the rooms (that is unforgiveable), plastic glasses in the room, no magnifying mirror in the bathroom, cracked hand-basin, etc.
View was brilliant
No double bed
Go try it it's great for bars restaurants and shopping just leave your car until your ready to go home.
Waited a while for hot water for shower but had bath instead which was lovely and warm possibly just me with the mixer taps.
Staff friendliness and location
Being charged for car parking
Location was great, near bars and restuarants, very short walk.
Friendly helpful staff. Location and cost.
The hotel is a fathering to look a little tired and room could do with an upgrade as a little dated
Club room has great view and many perks.
Cooked breakfast was very poor .
Nice view from bedroom window, staff friendly and efficient, reception area quite impressive.
For the price we paid breakfast should have been included, in retrospect I would not have booked at this price without breakfast being included. Room was fine, nice view, only stayed one night and as the title says Handy Base!
