When there was a function we felt that the hotel guests were put aside. we actually waited 40 minutes for our starter. i must add that the waitress(Rachel) was excellent. |

My booking from Booking.Com only arrived by fax on the morning of the stay, by which time the hotel was fully booked and there was no room for me upon arrival. However, there was a cancellation whilst I was there, so I was able to get accomodation. |

Room was a good size and powerful shower. Good access to city No internet access in the room unless you upgraded for £20. You could get free access for one hour if you bought a pint in the bar. Breakfast was £15.75 |

The room was a nice size, quiet (having quiet "neighbours" probably helped and had a sofa and an armchair, both fairly comfortable. (1) The supplied refreshments were very stingy, particularly for this "class" of hotel - and no biscuits! (2) We paid for parking for the three nights we were there but on the second night there was no space available due to a large wedding party - this is simply unacceptable. (3) There was no information on the hotel's own website regarding Internet access from our room and I eventually established it was £8 per hour or £20 per day!!!! I haven't paid for hotel Internet anywhere for several years and these rates seem particularly exorbitant - clearly meant to rip-off expense accounts where the guest doesn't care how much it costs! |

Checking in was quick, efficient and pleasant. The room was large, clean and vey comfortable. We were getting ready for a wedding, so time was tight and we needed a small pair of scissors. Houskeeping brought them to the door immediately. I will stay again and recommend to friends. |

Central location is a big bonus, making journeys to and from the train station, as well as into the city centre hassle free. The lack of signs directing to Reception upon leaving in a hurry on Sunday morning! |

the staff werevery friendly, it was very central and in walking distance for all my requirements, although parking was difficult to find at first. i did not like the surprise added monies on arrival, £25.00 excess charge incase of damages, although i do understand this ,i still am unsure if this has been refunded to my card, and also £4.50 for car parking, yet again i can understand this charge, but what turned out to be an extremely excellent offer, of £56.00 for a twin room has turned out to be £81.00 on arrival. |

For us it is in an excellent position between the Railway Station and the shopping area and the Theatre. Some rooms are noisy because of road traffic |

The staff are your best asset. They were all very cheerful and helpful. The service was very good. The decor in the bedrooms was beautiful. The rest of the hotel is looking very tired and is in desperated need of a refurb. The Bar area is particularly drab and should be modernised as a priority. The sticky tables and matching sticky and dirty menues were very unappealing and we decided to go and eat elsewhere. |

The location was great for local amemities, the superior room was indulgent but great value for the online booking. There was not a huge variety of food in the restaurant/bar. |
