Location was good, porters exceptional The room was shabby, broken plug sockets, missing trouser press, broken kettle. Looks like it could do with a renovation as wallpaper was coming off at the bottom

We booked three rooms for the weekend of 18th May. Our check in with Dominka was excellent..she was extremely helpful and friendly. Our rooms were spotless...the furniture is a little dated but we knew that from other reviews we had read. Breakfast at £10 was good value though a bit frenetic! We also ordered room service which was reasonably priced and very tasty. The concierge was also very helpful in answering our queries. The hotels location in Kensington was very convenient to the tube station and lots of shops in Kensington High Street!. Overall we had a very good experience. and we would go back!

Our room was quite small. It had no safe, no shaving mirror and a poor hairdryer. The room was very warm and the air conditioning wasn't effective. It was however clean and the pillow were very good.

Nothing really apart from the location, however the staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom furniture and bathroom were very outdated. The carpet had not been hoovered for some time especially down the sides of the bed. Thr temperature control pannel only blew hot air into the room which was very unpleasant as it was a warm day and the window in the room was unopenable. I certainly would not stay at the hotel again.

Nice hotel in a great location. High Kensington tube station is about 100 yards from the hotel. Kensington Palace and Hyde Park are a short, pleasant walk. The shops, businesses, and residential buildings in the area are all quite nice. It is clearly an upscale, affluent location. The hotel has a nice, fully-staffed lobby with several restaurants and a currency exchange desk. The restaurants include a casual cafe with about eight computers available for internet access. Rooms are clean and quiet despite the trains to/from High Kensington running right next to the hotel. (There are double windows which completely block the noise from the trains -- we were pleasantly surprised that the extra window was so effective.) The hotel is expensive but probably reasonably priced considering the neighborhood.

Excellent location. Nearby High Street Kensington Tube Station (can walk through the Boots supermarket before 8pm), Kensington Garden, Hyde Park and the Science and Natural History museums, Harrods etc. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Thanks guys! Getting to the hotel from Heathrow Airport is quite easy. Change at Hammersmith and then Earl’s Court for the District Line train if you don’t want to go up and down the staircases with heavy luggage (as long as you get the correct connecting train)! I can leave my luggage after checking out at 11am to do some more last minute shopping at Harrods and collect them later around 4pm. Oh yes, there are so many channels on the TV - i regretted spending one whole day flipping through the channels on an excellent sunny Sunday when i was supposed to go to the Science Museum! The signs of old building which needs better maintenance shows. The corridor to the rooms smells like damped clothes. Just like the other unfortunate patrons of this hotel, the room i stayed in could still feel warm though the aircond is set at 18°C. But, after a call to the Admin Desk, the Maintenance Guy would quickly pop at the door and fix the blocked valve and the room is cool! Also, the rooms facing the Tube railtracks could be noisy though there are 2 layers of window. Fortunately, my room was on the 9th floor, so i could hardly hear the noise especially after turning up the volume of the TV. As long as the room is cool and i dont have to sleep in the corridor, yeah, i may stay at this hotel again, next time i come to London.

Very convenient for central London, shopping and other attractions. Good facilities, all clean and in good order. Staff very helpful and friendly. The room was very hot when we first arrived. We were able to cool it down with the air conditioner, but it took quite a while and it was very warm again in the morning.

I like Copthorne Tara Hotel because it's well taken care of for an older hotel and the staff is very friendly. I don't mind the kind of out-dated furniture, I think it is nostalgia. Don't be apalled by the shabby outlooks, the inside is very nice and elegant. Wall-to-wall carpets are smashing looking and very nice as long as they are well vacuumed. The location is perfect for shopping and sight seeing. The close-by Kensington Park is wonderful for a bit of relaxation and walks. Room prices are real value for your money. I had a lovely stay and I really enjoyed the gorgeous view over western London. I will definitely come again!

The reception and communal areas were excellent and the location was great with tube access only a few minutes walk. Secure parking at only £10 for 24hrs in central London is most certainly a real bonus. Although comfortable, the room is rather outdated and could certainly benefit from decorating and updating.

Location is good and easy access to underground. I have stayed in this hotel in the past and its now getting tired and dated, i think its time for a major facelift and needs some serous money spent on it to bring it up to a decent four star facility. Rooms are clean but windows are a disgrace and curtains need replaced, the whole place needs a good spruce up, and its now a low end hotel and not one i would use again im sorry to say.

Excellent location. We were there so that we were within walking distance of the Royal Albert Hall. Facilities were very good. The cafe was not open on Sunday afternoon/evening, so we were not able to have a snack before the performance.
