Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington  

We received a free upgrade to a club room upon arrival however the rooms r right on a railway track which we found noisey & upset there is no information telling u yr room may b next to a track when booking!

Brasserie meals very good value with nice atmosphere and pleasant staff

Booked two roomswhich were not adjacent for some reason

Clean, friendly staff, quick check in and out.

Room was not cleaned/serviced for two nightstay, had to phone for tea,coffee and milk for second day.

I really liked the lobby area, comfortable and great light. The shop was very convenient. The lifts were very prompt and fast. The interior decor was attractive and homely. The bathroom was good. The bed was comfy. The room had reasonable space for central london. THe convenience of taxis outside.

The queue at reception was very difficult. Each time you needed a word with someone in reception there was a queue. The bill delivered to our room in the middle of the night before departure was not correct and was annoying. There was noise on the Sat. night from a party and the gathering of men at the front door smoking were not very nice. The bar is dark and no daylight and the asian food was not good.

Perfect location for the royal Albert hsll. Room was fine, staff good Breakfast fantastic and good value at £10.?

The room was immaculate, the service was excellent and the facilities particularly in the Club lounge were very good. All staff were polite and helpful

It is in a handy area for sightseeing, and the interesting shops of Kensington High St, and close to the tube for the city. The standard room had a fridge, and table and chairs so it was easy to be self sufficient.

We were disappointed the cafe on the ground floor never seemed open, it would have been so handy.

Standards of Superior double room were disappointing/basic - we got an upgrade

from the moment we got to the hotel to the time we left we were made so welcome, the room was spotless and comfortable, the staff were more the helpful and the location was ideal for seeing london without actually realising you were in a major city it was so quiet.

the only fault we found was due to using hot plates the breakfast was cold
