good location. friendly staff.
Location near to the tube Kensington High Street.
Small bed, too soft. Old furniture, bath in disperate need of renovation! Room small. Not a 4 stars hotel room.
We loved the cosy room, and the look of the hotel when you enter. It looks very lush and definitely like it is four star!!!
The double bed was to small, very small double. Has a superior plus so expected a big double if not a king size. Hair in the bath and terrible heating system, blows out cold air!
Staff and decor , location and cleanliness. A really pleasing hotel.
Room temperature - unable to open windows , no air con , minimum temp 18 degrees setting but the room was uncomfortably warmer than this.
Excellent location, very convenient for the tube and a surprisingly quiet location as well. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
Great location, efficient staff, very clean, a little impersonal but it is a big London hotel.
Being trapped in a sweat box on the ninth floor. The AC made a lot of noise but to little effect, even on top blast. The windows were locked! Unbearably hot and this was in December.
Had an excellent stay in the copthorne Tara brill location for olympia and the shops and tube.
The location was great and how help full the consierge was.
First room had certians down furniture moved away from the wall and smelt of smoking . Second room was a lot better thank you . Breakfast was not that hot .
Bed very uncomfortable Very noisy fridge Bathroom tired and bedroom Bad sleep
Hotel atmosphere and busy,,, good dinning options quiet in accommodation area's no banging doors and no through the wall noises Hotel in a good area and so close to excellent transport systems,, Great lifts very helpful staff
whats not to like ???
Good location close to underground and shopping
Rooms at the back are a bit too close to the underground
Location, fantastic for Olympia and only around the corner from High Street Kensington Tube Station Good breakfast I found the bed to be very comfortable but my wife found it to be way too soft although we're used to a orthopedic mattress at home. Staff friendly and helpful Hotel and guest rooms are clean throughout Although the shower is attached to the bath tub, it is extremely good and easy to use (cold / warm / hot water) Our room looked over the tube line (this part of the tube is above ground) but did not hear one single train, the double glazing does its job well. Fridge inside the room but not stocked, nice to use to put own drinks in (Tesco Metro around the corner).
The rooms (Superior) look a little dated and could do with a little updating, apart from this everything was good.
Location was excellent and the service generally efficient.
Breakfasts were poor for a four star hotel The hot food was not hot and there was a very poor selection on the breakfast buffet.
Easy to get back to central London great for a weekend break
friendly staff, reasonable rate
tiny room (after upgrading to the Plus size) and tiny, uncomfortable bed
Perfect for when you just need somewhere to sleep - like when you go to a gig in London... top location within minutes of the tube. Rooms are fine and big enough, nothing fancy but does the job.
Fairly ugly building, and incredible bar prices
Put my daughter and I in a bedroom fitted out for a disabled person which also had an interconnecting door. Most inappropriate. First and last time at Copthorne.
Bathroom fittings rusty
The only man at check-in gave me what I would call a shake down because I was an hour and a half early for check-in. He said that he could give me a better room immediately if I would agree to pay an extra 25 to 50 pounds a day for miscellaneous updates. I didn't agree and waited until 3:00 PM. He pretended to write down my passport number but I later learned that he hadn't. I don't remember being treated like that before. I will still go there but I thought that this was shabby.
Hard pillows and rough sheets
- within walking distance of Olympia - quiet, despite closeness to Kensington High Street - close to many visitor attractions (Albert Hall, V & A Museum, Natural History Museum, Hyde Park and Kensington Garden - helpfulness of staff - air conditioning
- room rather dated and furnishings shabby
