Staff were excellent and rooms were clean and comfortable

The hotel is in need of refurbishment, fixtures and fittings are outdated, breakfast is overpriced

What I did not like:- There were no porters available to handle our luggage. The receptionist told me he aws sorry as it was weekend so I will have to carry my own luggage. I am 75 years old and wife is 72. Not very happy

Very helpful staff, good location and reasonable facilities - good for the online price.

Breakfast facilities were not up to standard. The breakfast room and food was not ready at 7am as shown . The staff were still setting up at 7.30 . There were no staff to show you where to go or where you were meant to eat as there were functions on in the main breakfast rooms . The staff were all trainees apart from the one manager who had to repeat himself several times to the other staff to get them to understand what he required of them. Pure shame as the Hotel has all the ambiance of a good 4star hotel.

Excellent rate, good sized room, concierge v helpful and efficient. Chinese restaurant looked good. Parking convenient although small charge.

Smoking rooms have no internet - not advised in advance. Heating not working in room! Heater brought up promptly but for 4 star not good. Would have been very cross if we'd pay the usual rate! Room was also opposite the room where the maids keep their cleaning equipment, laundry, etc. They were very noisy in the morning despite do not disturb sign on door - they definitely gave us an unrequested early morning wake- up! Tv screen not dusted for possibly years. Rate was good though for this hotel and we'd stay again for that price.

My response to this question would entail a complaint as those are the things I would change.

It was clean and tidy. Everything that was required for an evening stay for work.

The staff were extremely pleasant. It was easily reached from the motorway and I did not have to negotiate any city centre traffic. It was within easy reach of Legoland. The pool was lovely for the children.

The facilities for the children were very limited. Including hot chocolate sachets for the children would have been a nice touch. The food was also not as varied as I would have liked for the children. The mug of coffee I had during breakfast was in a cracked mug.

Over all hotel is good however I think charges for parking and wifi are over the top. Another thing I didn't like is locking fridge, first time I experience locked bar fridge in hotel, doesn't make business sense as I could have purchased a good amount of beverages.

A nice space to relax in - a great base for what we were doing.

Breakfast was expensive - for my family the cost of breakfast would have doubled the bill!
