Corbyn Head Hotel  

Tolle lage direkt am Meer, besonders am Empfang überdurchschnitlich freundliches personal. Das Hotel hatten wir unter anderem gewählt um unseren Hund mitnehmen zu können, dort ist sie sehr freundlich aufgenommen worden. "Old English Charm" aber nicht auf dem allerneuesten renovierungsstand, vor allem das Bad noch 70er jahre Charm. Insgesamt sehr idyllisch, sehr freundlich, etwas renovierungsbeürftig (für besonders anspruchsvolle)

Das Personal war sehr freundlich speziell an der Reception, an der Bar und die Zimmermädchen. Die Qualität der warmen Speisen beim Frühstück war gut.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer stark befahrenen Hauptstrasse. Teppiche, Vorhänge und die Einrichtung unseres Zimmers machten den Eindruck als hätten sie bessere Zeiten gesehen. Wünschenswert ist auch eine Dusche die nicht fest eingebaut ist.

I usually go 4 star on holiday but decided to go 3 star on this occasion as we were touring and did not expect to be spending a lot of time in the hotel. The Corbyn Head exceeded our expectations in almost every department. We were greeted warmly on arrival and the friendliness of the staff was complemented by politness and efficiency in the dining room where the head waiter ran a very tight ship. The quality and flavour of the food at breakfast and dinner was impressive and the chef willingly prepared a diane sauce which was not on the menu especially for me. The view of Corby Bay was pretty spectacular and on a par with any other sights we saw during the holiday.

Absolutely lovely hotel. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially the waiters and waitresses. They all made our stay very welcome. The star waiter for the week though has to be Vincent. He was just so professional in his work, but made us feel at ease. However all the staff were excellent. Rooms were cleaned every day, so that was fine. All in all, an excellent stay. Also a bus stop right outside the door. Easy to get to places, although a little far from the town centre. Not your fault though. Very enjoyable stay, and am surprised it is only 3 stars. Should be 4. Would recommend to anybody.

Lovely location, great views. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. A very pleasant weekend.

Our only complaint was that the room at night (we were in the Penthouse) was cold due to the heating being turned off at some time and not being turned on again till morning. I will add that we were there in February and it was cold.

It's location to the sea front, having a car-park and the friendly and helpful staff who made my one night stay as welcoming as possible.

Squeeky floorboards

This was our forth visit to the hotel and it is always excellent

Toilet seat loose lights not working ( 2) armchair broken cobwebs on wall and ceiling

Wonderful location, large bedroom, friendly staff, comfortable beds. Booked standard room but arrived to find that we had a room with sea view and balcony for same price and the view was stunning.

A litte dated compared to many hotels now. Corridors not very inviting and very creaky floorboards. I know it was end of September but the weather was wonderful and was forecast to be so, but the swimming pool was closed and there was no indication on any website that this would be the case. The availability of a swimming pool was one of the reasons that I picked this hotel;

Friendly Staff. Good food. Lovely veiws

No lift. Beds uncomfotable, especialy the pillows.

The room with balcony and sea view. Easy access to public transport and town facilities. Reasonable parking. Good breakfast choice. Helpful staff.

Stairs and fire doors, no lifts. High pre-fixed price for dinners, especially for those who do not want a lot to eat. This put us off even looking at your menus.

Position of Hotel was excellent. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Standard of bedrooms poor in relation to furniture and cleanliness. On busy road road, so could not have windows open, and railway line close at rear of hotel. Think the hotel should have this in their description.

Food was extremely good. Staff friendly.

Bed was rock hard. Pillows were old, thin and lumpy including the extra one asked for!
