The staff were very attentive - nothing was too much trouble. The room was very spacious, comfortable, bright and clean with an excellent view of Torbay. The food in the hotel was very well presented and above all tasty and enjoyable. Staff on reception were always helpful and pleasant. The bar area was very comfortable with good service. A very enjoyable stay. |

Pleasant, wishing to please staff, a run down hotel in need of investment. Visitors should be aware there is a busy road between hotel and seaside and at the rear is a two track railway line! |

The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Any minor problems or requests were dealt with immediately and helpfully. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast was outstanding! We were pleased to have free use of the larger outdoor pool at the Livermead House hotel, run by the same family just along the road. |

Lovely Sea View as asked for,the Breakfast was ample. Staff were very helpful, booking in was no problem. Car Parking might be a problem if Hotel was very busy we just parked up & walked everywhere. The menu in the evening was ample but all at the same price, it would have been preferrable, for us anyway, if we could pay what we wanted. |

Room and position of Hotel Service in Bar for a meal was poor. For a croque monsier and a wrap we waited almost an hour after ordering. After complaining at time and then when paying bill the meal was not charged for. Not really the point as would have prefered the meal on time |

The hotel was so bad and smelly that we left despite the fact that they refused to reimburse the further 2 nights I had booked for. The smell of damp, the linen appearance and smell and the over crowded rooms with endless pieces of hopeless furniture |
