I was looking for an affordable room, no extras, with a decent restaurant, and I found it. I MUST commend your chef, and the waitress, who provided me with an early breakfast on Sunday as I needed to leave early for a school reunion in Bedford. It was very kind and much appreciated. Your internet service is very much below par. Even the wi-fi in the bar was very spotty. You should extend it to the rooms, and make it much more business friendly. The floodlight outside #4 kept flashing on and off early in the evening. |

We liked it's charm. The room and the bar were very traditional ye'olde 'British' - which is what we wanted to experience. and the food in the restaurant was delicious. |

The hotel was friendly enough, and the atomosphere was nice and relaxed. There was no heat in the morning, which meant myself and my partner could not have a shower, or bath as it was too cold. There was unfortunately a stain on one of the pillows, which meant, we did not want to use the pillow. Unfortunately, for the price of one night's stay, this did not match up to what we expected. |

Home from home. I felt very welcome and after a week of business travel this was the best night's sleep I had for some time. Very comfortable. |

The staff were very good and did everything possible to make the stay cpmfortable. Although the hotel is conveiniently placed I found the room small and cramped, the bathroom looked well used and tired and the shower was a waste of time. |

the staff were all very friendly and helpful the "double room " was really only single size. There are no lounge facilities for guests who do not wish to sit in a noisy public bar, the decor is shabby and needs total renewal, the mismatched furniture in the bedroom does not allow for comfoortable seating, the lights are energy savers and are not bright enough to read by, and the walls seem very thin - nooise from other rooms was intrusive Cost was higher than a 5 star guest house in Cheltenham. |

The staff were welcoming and friendly, service was excellent at reception, in the bar and when dining. Good food. Good value for money. My only concern was, if there was a fire in the upper staircase, how would you get out of room 9? Perhaps one of the windows needs to be made a little bigger. |

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable and close to town. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family and visit again. |

The hotel had lots of character and the room we stayed in was lovely with oak beams etc . Staff were very friendly and helpful. Coming back of an evening the main front doors were closed so to access the hotel we found out you had to go around the back |

Decent pot of tea at breakfast. No facilities to wash hair...even a rubber hose to fit on the bath taps would have sufficed. Only one pillow and no obvious spares. At £105 B&B represented poor value. Not up to standard of a Travel Lodge. |

Closeness to town and good parking. Renovation work being carried out will improve first sight reaction.Very good breakfast. Four Poster bed was not as I expected, perhaps I booked the wrong room to the picture I thought I was booking. |

Everything very clean - bar, restaurant, bedroom, bathroom. Staff were very efficient and pleasant. Overall a lovely experience and my wife and I will return. Excellent menu also. Unfortunately, the real ale was slightly warm and I don't like warm beer. |
