Lovely old bridge and river that ran through the town.
Lovely old bridge and river that ran through the town. The George pub has wonderful views of both , with good food and decor and service . Didn’t have time to explore the shops but could do with more cafes . Fabulous kids playground right by the river with car park , excellent football pitches , skate board ramp and basketball court and a cafe /toilets and a paddling pool in the summer . Very lovely farm and cafe called Hocky’s farm just outside Fordingbridge .

Fordingbridge is very easy to get around, there are lots of nice restaurants nearby and lovely scenic walks. I had fabulous lunches at The George and The Royal Oak, and I had a yummy breakfast at The Potting Shed. It's a great place to visit for a short break.

The river is beautiful. some interesting food shops, especially traditional butchers.
Traffic heavy at times through village centre combined with narrow pavements requires attention when walking especially with young children.

Fordingbridge is a lovely small town and very scenic.
Fordingbridge is a lovely small town and very scenic. The George Pub is a great place to have a meal. It is dog friendly and the staff are really welcoming. The food selection is very good too. There are a couple of Pay & Display car parks. The Library car park in the centre is well located if you need to do some shopping. There is a Tesco Express as well as a small but well stocked Co-Op store.

Fordingbridge is a delightful town situated on the edge of the New Forest. The town is brimming with character, eateries and individual shops. The river is a great feature, meandering along the recreation fields, with benches for relaxing and watching the river, swans and ducks, ideal for fishing, paddle boarding and swimming. There is an excellent play area for children and small pool, open in season. Beside these facilities is an kiosk for refreshments. Parking in town is easy. Fordingbridge is a friendly town and I cant wait to go back soon.
The hotel is railway themed and there were lots of little extra touches in the dining area and main pub area. We received a free upgrade on arrival. The room was spotless and so beautifully decorated. The bed was comfy and they had the heating on full blast so that we were cosy. We had dinner, which was delicious, as was the breakfast the next morning (breakfast was included in the price). The staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
The location is fantastic, extremely peaceful with beautiful, private, surroundings, lovely walks straight out into the forest. Close to good pubs and Fordingbridge for shops. It is cosy and well equipped, comfy beds and lovely hot shower. the owners are really welcoming.
The wildlife is incredible, the badgers come to feed every night, there are deer around all day and lots of different birds! it’s a real treat!
EVERYTHING!
The cottage is absolutely beautiful and lovely and clean, right in the middle of Fordingbridge which was perfect for our visit.
The additional extras including TV with additional channels, parking permit for all over the New Forest and all of the cleaning products to help was just amazing.
We have already booked for March and have friends booked for May, absolutely wonderful property.
The property is lovely, the staff were amazing and the food was great. Stayed overnight with the family to visit the area and thought it was good value for money. breakfast was good and if you stay for evening dinner the Gurkha menu is terrific. Much better than staying in a hotel with no character from the big chains.
The location was more remote than I expected, but that was fine. Nice and quiet. It's only a short walk to Fordingbridge, though we found out from a local waitress that there is actually a much safer footpath you can take, rather than walking on the road. A couple of the pub staff were very friendly and helpful.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay.
Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed.
Breakfast delivered to the room every morning was spot on.
Hosts were great, helpful, friendly, there to answer any questions, yet left you to enjoy the stay.
Easy walk to Fordingbridge.
Loved our stay, had 3 fantastic days/nights.
The hosts were super welcoming but also left me space to enjoy the cottage and surroundings. The cottage was beautifully up together and the hot tub was amazing! Not far at all to drive to Fordingbridge but location nice and rural. Well recommended.
The accommodation is in a quiet location but within walking distance of Fordingbridge. The kitchen was well equipped and all the little thoughts on how to make the accommodation user friendly with dogs was fantastic.
The accommodation was excellent. Very clean and spacious. Everything you could need.
The location is great for traveling around the New Forest.
I only had 2 nights stay but if longer there was plenty to see locally
We had a great stay in Fordingbridge, on the edge of the wonderful New Forest. The lodge was very comfortable (with good wifi connection) with a beautiful garden. Our host, Shane, was very helpful.
A quirky hotel immaculately presented - our room was upgraded. Breakfast choices were good, freshly cooked and plentiful. A good spot for both New Forest and coast.
