We really enjoyed our stay - the room was very clean, the staff incredibly friendly and the breakfast - served by the chef himself - very good. There are also good places to eat close by.
Excellent location, walking distance to Ashford International train station and high street. Internet connection also excellent. Cleanliness also excellent would recommend and also visit again.
Brilliant B&B nothing was too much trouble, food at the cafe was really nice, all the B&B and cafe were clean and staff professional. Facilities were really good with Tea and coffee, free bottled water, free Wi-Fi, a fridge freezer in the room along with a microwave. Each room also has washing facilities etc. Recommend for long or short stays but not sure what there is to do in the local area.
Hard to find as it is hidden down a back street.
Very Helpful Characterful Room Big Bathroom Great Location for train station Free parking
Awful noisy bed, mattress too soft Noisy outside, people, seagulls etc Breakfast dire - had to pay for second cup of coffee and the sausage/bacon was of very poor standard and badly cooked.
Convenient and clean
Room very small and one bed shorter and not full length. No regular windows only roof fanlights. If driving to B&B very hard to find.
The bed in my room was extremely comfortable, the bathroom an excellent size and facilities within it good, extremely clean accommodation throughout, really friendly staff, easy to get to/from the railway station
The owner was so helpful, we had to leave very early in the morning and he brought our continental breakfast to our room before 6am. Normally we either have to bring our own food if we have an early start or we are frowned on and have to grovel .Our room was beamed and the floor was not level, lovely.
A very comfortable room and bed with a large en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee-making facilities and TV. The proprietor was very helpful and obliging. I would be happy to stay there again if in Ashford.
A violent thunder storm in the middle of the night, which kept me awake, but over which the proprietor obviously had no control ! Otherwise, there was nothing to dislike.
Staff very helpfull location very good room very good
The only positive is its location to the town centre.
Poor parking, only 2 spaces for the whole building. Having to go to cafe next door for your breakfast.
Excellent Cooked Breakfast Good location
Location: The Cornerstone is easy walking distance from the station. The owner / manager was very cheerful, relaxed and helpful. His dinner recommendation of the "Little Raj" was a great suggestion. I had a terrific meal there. Above all the bed was very comfortable.
We were made very welcome by Paul, who was both flexible and helpful. This is a quirky historic building tucked away just a few steps back from Ashford's busy High St. It suited us because it was just an easy walk from the station. We stayed in a family room with lovely old beams and a good shower in the ensuite.
Very clean & tidy excellent room
the room, a family room for three people, very old English style
Central location, friendly staff, clean bedding.
There is no window in my room (other than two skylight windows [non-transparent]. That is depressing and makes me feel like I am in a prison. Because of it, I found this B&B is grossly over-rated. I wish I would be warned by that but I don't think the description includes it. Also, a few dead and living insects plus shower cream and toilet papers ran out. Room managemnet needs better pest control plus household keeping! To be fair, bedding is clean however.
broken bathroom window plus window security not good elsewhere in the bedroom
The room was lovely furnished. We had the 3 bedroom. It was a little narrow, but still nice. Not to spend a whole vacation, but perfect for 1-3 nights.
The breakfast which you could have in a store next door, bought with the cornerstone was awful. Never ever again! Even it was just 5 pounds/person, it was not even worth that price. Great Place was a pub right in the opposite side.
the Staff was very kind and understanding about our late arrival. Loved all the exposed beams. Breakfast was good.
Liked all of it.
Clean bed sheets Hot shower
Room was very dirty Shabby dated decor
Comfortable room and very clean
The shower did not work properly. The lack of information about breakfast facilities we ended up in a cafe next door and had to pay for it
The hotel was close to the station, which is convenient for my purposes.
I always prefer my own toilet and shower facilities, but for only one night, the shared facility was not a problem. The facility was very clean.
Friendly and helpful
Paul Himself very nice person always ready to help
Location on High Street near to pubs and restaurants. Lovely room with fridge , microwave and tea/coffee facilities. Friendly welcome.
A bit noisy on a Friday night, the flipside of being near to pubs & restaurants
