We could not fault the hotel, it had real quirky & homely charm - the manager had a wonderful "can do" attitude, allowing us to leave our bags early, check out late & he also booked our taxi for us. The bed was comfy & the room spacious and characterful. The staff were, without exception, very friendly & welcoming, both in the B&B and in the cafe where breakfast was served (which we could have at any time to suit us). The cafe was spotless & served a good choice of cooked or continental breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay at Cornerstone B&B, much more enjoyable than the generic travel motel type! We would definitely recommend it.

We really could not think of a single negative to say about the B&B.

A lovely old fashioned B&B tucked away just off the pedestrian main street. Perhaps not the fanciest of decors but very friendly and accommodating staff and good value for the price, which included a hearty cooked breakfast at the cafe just next door and stable and reasonably speedy wifi.

We really enjoyed our stay - the room was very clean, the staff incredibly friendly and the breakfast - served by the chef himself - very good. There are also good places to eat close by.

Horrible. The worst nightmare you can encounter. The host was wearing a t-shirt full of stains, no interest at all, but for the payment. The rooms were closets, big enough for a bed. No windows at all. The bed was covered in leafs and dust. We had to clean the toiletseat from urine and other brownies. Smelly, noisy and absolutely too expensive for this terrible mess. This B&B should not be on booking.com. Don't say we didn't warn you!

Breakfast included good. Location in the middle of the center.

This is not a bed & breakfast. This is a pure business, a factory where bedrooms are accumulated ! It looks like a prison. " a colorful prison " since all the bedrooms are painted in different colours but it looks so fake. The room are tiny, and I really felt like in a cell in jail !! Plus, there is no window, except on the roof but which is totally useless because it's too high to reach it so you can't even open the window if you're hot but THE WORST you can not even close down a shutter or a curtain !! Thank you to be awake at 6.00 in the morning .... plus, it's noisy, I've been awake all night long because it's a real factory of " putting people in boxes" , people can't stop coming in and out all night long so you can hear everything... The cup for my tea and the kettle were dirty.

Brilliant B&B nothing was too much trouble, food at the cafe was really nice, all the B&B and cafe were clean and staff professional. Facilities were really good with Tea and coffee, free bottled water, free Wi-Fi, a fridge freezer in the room along with a microwave. Each room also has washing facilities etc. Recommend for long or short stays but not sure what there is to do in the local area.

Hard to find as it is hidden down a back street.

More than helpful and gave great advice. Even provided a packed lunch as we had an early Eurostar booking and couldn't accept the included breakfast. Would definitely stay again should the need arise ( Eurostar Trip)

    Convenient and clean

Room very small and one bed shorter and not full length. No regular windows only roof fanlights. If driving to B&B very hard to find.

The owner was so helpful, we had to leave very early in the morning and he brought our continental breakfast to our room before 6am. Normally we either have to bring our own food if we have an early start or we are frowned on and have to grovel .Our room was beamed and the floor was not level, lovely.

    Leaving.

A very comfortable room and bed with a large en-suite bathroom, tea and coffee-making facilities and TV. The proprietor was very helpful and obliging. I would be happy to stay there again if in Ashford.

A violent thunder storm in the middle of the night, which kept me awake, but over which the proprietor obviously had no control ! Otherwise, there was nothing to dislike.

The only positive is its location to the town centre.

Poor parking, only 2 spaces for the whole building. Having to go to cafe next door for your breakfast.

Location: The Cornerstone is easy walking distance from the station. The owner / manager was very cheerful, relaxed and helpful. His dinner recommendation of the "Little Raj" was a great suggestion. I had a terrific meal there. Above all the bed was very comfortable.

We were made very welcome by Paul, who was both flexible and helpful. This is a quirky historic building tucked away just a few steps back from Ashford's busy High St. It suited us because it was just an easy walk from the station. We stayed in a family room with lovely old beams and a good shower in the ensuite.

Central location, friendly staff, clean bedding.

There is no window in my room (other than two skylight windows [non-transparent]. That is depressing and makes me feel like I am in a prison. Because of it, I found this B&B is grossly over-rated. I wish I would be warned by that but I don't think the description includes it. Also, a few dead and living insects plus shower cream and toilet papers ran out. Room managemnet needs better pest control plus household keeping! To be fair, bedding is clean however.
