The location was perfect. A short 5-10 min walk to plenty of nice resturants, shops and the Theatre!.

The weather! It was freezing.

Very friendly and helpfull. Room comfortable and warm. Nice breakfast.

Internet signal a bit week in my room(6), the owner explained it was the furthest room from the router.

All contact prior to visit was friendly,courteous and helpful. On arrival we were able to park our car and head into town. Check in was straight forward and quick. The route to our rooms was via wellkept corridors and stairways.The bedrooms were clean comfy and lovely and warm with lovely ensuite, fluffy towels and excellent tea making facilities. Breakfast was lovely and very filling and the proprietors were attentive and very hospitable.

Fantastic location with free parking 5 mins from city centre bars restaurants shops cathedral and castle! Clean rooms, friendly owner and nice breakfast. Reasonably priced.

Stayed here with my four sisters recently to celebrate my 40th birthday we booked the hotel because of the following value for money, location, friendliness , cleanliness thoroughly enjoyed our stay and i would stay here again L.Moore

I cudnt fault this hotel except for the amount ov stairs leading up to our room BUT it wasnt a problem were just unfit

Close to the M6 and centre of Carlisle. Friendly,helpful and efficient staff. Very clean and well maintained guest house. We would definitely stay there again.

Location, hospitality.

Our room was in the upper part of the house and we had to keep ducking our heads due to the low ceiling. The bathroom - shower cubicle too small especially as there was plenty of room for a larger one.

A few minutess from the town centre, a friendly welcome, comfy and clean rooms and a great breakfast - stay there,!

Good location if you require to use the city as I did

Two things stand out. First the location, quiet but very convenient for the city centre, and with easy street parking nearby. Second, the Guest House was scrupulously clean in all areas, and looked to be very fastidiously managed.

Our room was in the attic, with only a skylight window. This was not to our taste, but was a consequence of our late booking, and is not really a criticism of the Guest House per se.

Good breakfast and location. Great price.

No en suite in the room I stayed in, and the towels were a bit rough, but fine for my purposes. Much better option than the travelodge up the road.

Location was important to us but we did not want a chain hotel. The Cornerways was convenient but they had done other useful things like organise sensible parking arrangements and access to the guest house was good. Simplifying things like these is very important to us.
