what a hellhole dirty damp staff dnt care once you have paid smells mould on walls frayed carpets filth everywere dirty cups dirty tables dirty cutlery mouldy showers waiter/barman still drunk in morn wearing same clothes for 3 days looking like he had slept in them coughing over food totoally horrible rotten windows in the rooms black stinking mould in corners just filth everywere |

Very convenient for touring that part of Cornwall. Easy and secure parking. Plenty of choice of food at this time of year. |

Only the secure parking sadly the chef was coughing whilst making breakfast also he seamed under the influence of alcohol , we didn't bother having breakfast was'nt worth the risk went some where else . |

The staff excluding the manager was very helpful and apologetic for the bad experience we had during our stay there. We stayed in the only family room of the hotel. The wall of the bathroom was covered with mould and it appeared it had not been attempted to wash away for a considerable long time. The result was that the room stank of mould. We had to leave the window open even if we did not stay in the room which meant that we had to transfer our valuables into the car each time we left the room. The room also was very unloved, half of the lamp shades were missing, cobwebs on the ceiling and the cups for tea/coffee were just rinsed not properly washed, so that residues from the previous occupier could be seen. The second day, when coming back from our day out, the beds were half stripped off and left like that |

Helpful staff, easy to reach eden project. Late check in. funny damp smell in corridors, one person doing all the work. Very quiet in evening making it boring on cold wet night nothing to do if you didn't want to drive. |

The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were friendly. There was only one chair in room (2 people staying) - had to read and watch telly in bed. No mattress protector under bed sheet. Damp smell outside in corridor. |

Good location for what we had planned. We ate there in the evening and the meal was really lovely. Breakfast also good. One of the mugs in the room was very chipped - could not believe it was left in there. |

The staff, the attention to detail and the food were all first class. The atmosphere from staff and locals was very inclusive and friendly. The shabbiness of the building, the entry from the rooms to the pub. Our first impression was one of dismay but the rooms were very well set out with matching curtains, beds, decor etc. Some rooms were very damp and the buildings themselves are in dire need of updating.Our hosts tried very hard to combat the initial poor impression and certainly made our visit worthwhile. |

Owners very friendly and happy to assist us in any way possible. Food in bar very good, and reasonably priced. Room smelt musty and damp on arrival. I mentioned this to the owners who removed a dehumidifier from the room, and left us some air freshers which helped, but did not entirely solve the problem. |

Huge spiders that scared my small children and stopped them from entering the bathroom alone. Very strong smell of damp throughout and damp bedding, curtains and even our own possessions after only one night. Old and uncomfortable beds and no fitted sheets so by the early hours both my children where tangled in their sheets.Chewed dog toys and balls all over car park. |
