Score from 293 reviews Very good
location was fabulous, the staff member who greeted us and dealt with almost every aspect of our stay was personable, good humoured and very accommodating.
overpriced in many aspects. The room was small and while we acknowledge that a specific 'look' was fostered there were elements which made it difficult to live with. ie no toilet roll holder, no soap dish, no shower curtain or screen, poor water pressure. Food was of high quality but we also ate at other venues and the prices were much fairer than at this Lodge hotel. Here the set menu was difficult as no course had a price tag for those who wished to see this - the one price fits all did not work for us.
Run by a family, headed by the beautiful Christian, who couldnt be more warm and friendly in welcoming you to their place. Meal in the restaurant was excellent. Infact I enjoyed the food and atmosphere far more than the Michelin starred Inverlochy Castle down the road. Very comfortable and lovely decor. Peaceful location overlooking the loch.
WiFi was poor
The warmth and welcoming reception on arrival and throughout the visit.. Appreciated the help and advice at all times.
There was nothing we didn't like.
Great chef with fantastic dinner and perfect breakfast
Food, wine, ambience, stunning views
Not near any towns (which is still good)
welcoming hostess location breakfast
Everything Fantastic dinner by the owner&chef Beautiful warm and delightful room and bed covers and sheets Wonderful Location
Staffs approach was hreat
Friendly staff and super location
Accomodation and restaurant were expensive for what you got.
Location Food Friendly staff Cottagey feel to room
Bathroom window had no latch and flapped about if left open Bed was very uncomfortable and worn out Couldn't turn bedside lights on and off without having all the lights on or off
EVERYTHING - GREATEST EXPERIENCE EVER ! GREAT NATURAL VIEWS OF THE LOUGH & MOUNTAINS
Lovely lodge with antique interior by the side of Loch Lochy. Staff was very friendly. Loch Fyne kipper for breakfast was very good. House keeping was quick and done during our breakfast everyday.
Wifi was not very good but this is of course because of this countryside location. Bar had lots of whiskey but a bit pricy.
The location was just incredible overlooking beautiful Loch Lochy surrounded by stunning mountains Very helpful and friendly staff The food was absolutely wonderful especially catering for dietary needs Comfortable bed/super bed linen
The room was hot and we were not able to open a window room as it was awaiting repair also quite small so it felt a bit claustrophobic The toiletries in the bathroom were not easy to use
The old fashioned graciousness of the building, furnishings and general atmosphere. Wonderful dining. Superb setting.
Location and staff very friendly
Food a little over priced and not as good as it should have been for the price
We enjoyed the views and the attention of staff. The room was comfortable,
Top cover of beds grubby. No shower caps nor hard soap supplied only liquid soap, Only one bath towel between two. Tea/coffee only topped up when requested. Dinner very expensive £49.00 per head
friendliness of staff, excellent dinners and breakfast, location overlooking loch, comfy beds
location too close to main road, but not that much bothering, a bit cold in room
