“ We loved everything about the hotel. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. The scenery was great, the atmosphere, the lounge and open fire. We were treated like family. Very relaxing. The food was to die for. Must try the scallops. Best ever! Wish we stayed longer. Wouldn't hesitate to go back for longer stay. Staff were great. ”

This beautiful former hunting lodge enjoys a spectacular location, set in nine acres of forest overlooking Loch Lochy. The restaurant serves excellent Scottish cuisine, and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Each of the luxurious guest rooms are traditionally and individually furnished. Featured in every room is a TV, telephone, and a full private bathroom. Many of the rooms also have views of the Loch. Award-winning food is served in a candlelit dining room with open log fires. The menu includes freshly caught fish, Aberdeen Angus beef, homemade breads and other seasonal ingredients. Guests are able to explore the extensive grounds or head down to the private beach, which includes a jetty. The surrounding countryside is perfect for walking, cycling and fishing. The town of Fort William, with shops and 3 train stations, is a 25-minute drive away. The Island of Skye can be reached in 1 hour and 30 minutes by car. We loved everything about the hotel. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. The scenery was great, the atmosphere, the lounge and open fire. We were treated like family. Very relaxing. The food was to die for. Must try the scallops. Best ever! Wish we stayed longer. Wouldn't hesitate to go back for longer stay. Staff were great. We can't think of anything that we didn't like.

Amazing location with great views down Loch Lochy. Quiet and isolated... But very accessible from the road. Lots of charm and character. The views from the dining room are superb. Very comfortable lounge. The evening meal had a varied selection... But the chef must have had an off-day...a little disappointing for a place of this calibre. However, the Scottish breakfast was excellent.

Buenas vistas al lago y cena excelente. Si bien las instalaciones eran amplias y comodas, el hotel es algo antiguo y lo encontramos algo caro respecto a otros de su categoria.

We were disappointed that the Internet allotment had been overspent for the month and we're only mid month. All guests for the balance of July missed out on Internet. The eventing meal was superb but most travelers do not need a 5 course dinner at 50 pounds each and there were no alternatives. Perhaps a 2-3 courses for a lesser price would be better. Service excellent. Downfall on location was it was not possible to go for walks without driving to nearby spots.

Bedroom and on-suit were clean and comfortable with a modern touch. The tea and coffee with the biscuit were much appreciated after a long journey. The fire in the lounge was particularly warming and comfortable. Public areas decor particularly the corridors were needing updated.

Die Hotelmitarbeiter waren extrem freundlich und liebenswürdig. Das Zimmer wunderschön und grosszügig.Das Essen war sehr gut aber sehr teuer und nur eine kleine Auswahl vom Tagesmenue möglich. Von der Lage waren wir entäuscht. Die Aussicht vom Restaurant (auf den See) ist zwar grossartig aber direkt oberhalb einer stark befahrenen Hauptstrasse (Strassenlärm). Das Hotel ist schon sehr schön aber für meinen Geschmack viel zu teuer. Preisleistung stimmt nicht.

Breathtaking views from our room of both the loch and the nearby small waterfall. Staff were very friendly. The best part was the residents' lounge - we spent a very pleasant evening there beside the fireplace. Free wifi (not in the rooms though) and free parking. Its beautiful isolated location meant that there weren't many choices for dinner.

Family run, luxury hotel with obvious pride and passion for what they offer and how they can make your stay both memorable and pleasurable. Food and service was second to none. The view from the dining room was worth the price alone. Only one observation was that in the bathroom, whilst the walk-in shower was very convenient, water splashed over quite an area of the room which would make it slippery. Several towels were required to dry the room.

Excellent location for exploring the Highlands. Warm and very helpful staff. WiFi access is limited to the reception area and horribly slow, although I think the speed is consistent with other places in the highlands.
