Excellent dinner accompanied by wonderful wines. Perfectly cooked and presented breakfast without any pressure to leave .
Good food ,however some upgrading may be necessary ,leaky taps and shower fittings????
Welcoming and comfortable as if being at big family house party
Can't always access internet from the room
Lovely hotel which gas fabulous food and wines roaring log fire and attentive staff Comfy bed and great breakfast choice we have been before and we will be going again Well done guys xx
Old tea in the teapot !!
The hotel itself is excelent.
The pool is heated but there is no light. If you want to swim after sunset you're risking a lot in the dark. The changing room is damp and cobwebbed. The breakfast is a meal with courses(!!!) and the choice for vegetarians is poor - you have to eat some sort of eggs(scrambled or omelette) and toast with jam. This problem is typical for UK and I sound a bit like British people complaining of lack of coffee and tea making facilities in French hotels. Compared to other places I've stayed in UK the quality of what I ate was good. You can have dinner in the restaurant (everything was delicious!!!) but it's very snobbish and dress code is observed. If you feel uncomfortable with people in their 60s dressed in suite and wearing pearls don't dine in the restaurant - go to the bistro instead - it has even larger menu while maintaining the quality of the food. Dogs are not allowed with you in the restaurant both during breakfast and dinner but we were allowed to take our dog in the bistro.
Quiet and relaxed ambience along with highly professional and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and spacious room and bathroom with a midday check out. First class breakfast and good meals. Nice touches such as fresh milk in the fridge in the room and warm milk with the coffee at breakfast. Beautiful country surroundings.
Having to clean my own bath. And although the standard of the restaurant was very good, the food was a little spoiled by too much seasoning (salt, salad dressing etc.)
Beautiful building. Huge bedroom and bathroom. Very comfy bed. Good food Very helpful and friendly staff
Slightly inflexible regarding wishing to have breakfast at 7am only allowed continental, but it was fine
Vikki the receptionist put us in a lovely room which was next to the fire exit so we could let the dogs out at any time. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and huge.
Nowhere to eat with dogs, however room service is available.
Big expansive room, hotel character, setting, and the welcome that everyone gave us
What can you not like about this place. Excellent food, great wine list although I would like to have seen a selection of champagnes from the smaller champagne houses. The staff were first class and very professional.
If I was to be really picky, I would say that the bathroom in my really large bedroom was ready for a refurb but eh ho how much time do you spend in the bathroom. Great stay.
Loved the room friendly staff breakfast really tasty.
Everything except the shower. Our suite was a pleasant surprise. Fresh fruit and homemade biscuits in our room was lovely. Wonderful staff and good value for money.
Shower was very feeble - we were not interested in the jacuzzi. We are used to adjustable power showers squirting from about head height. We prefer duvets to blankets ideally. Carpet in a bathroom is very out of date and unhygienic.
Friendly and welcoming staff Good ambience Clean and tidy Good parking Well kept grounds Hotel has 'character'
The food and service excellent
The room was dated and needs a lift
Spacious bedroom. Fridge complete with fresh milk, fresh fruit and beautiful biscuits. Views over countryside. A pleasant atmosphere all around hotel. Ample car parking close to entrance of hotel.
We knew this hotel was dog friendly. Not a problem. However shocked to see they are allowed in eating areas. Not happy to eat my breakfast on table next to couple with large dog. Bring your dog if you have to but please not where people are eating. I think this policy needs reviewing .
I decided to take my wife away for her birthday and chose Corse Lawn hotel as the perfect destination and I can tell you it was. They not only organised the flowers I had asked for to be waiting for my wife but the staff were very helpful and hotel and location was amazing
Very friendly staff. Excellent food both evening meals and breakfast. Good location
Room so big had a game of hide and seek
Friendly, helpful staff; excellent food; beautiful setting; comfortable room; large car park; quiet location (apart from yappy dogs)
Décor could do with some updating, poor shower.
The quality of the rooms and the food. The tennis court and croquet.
The changing room for the swimming pool
Location, food, room, service, staff, tea, coffee and fresh milk in the fridge, home-made biscuits and fresh fruit in the bedrooms. Just great.
Think orange juice shouldn't be served as part of a first course. A charge is made for "extra" items ordered from the first course. Hey the rest of our stay was perfect!
beautiful gardens with tennis, croquet, swimming pool etc. can take the dog. great food and wine list. comfortable rooms with space to relax and unwind - with real coffee or tea, homemade biscuits and fruit bowl. even the magazines in the room were changed daily
Met by knowledgeable and courteous staff. Location and facilities superb. Breakfast was waiter served and freshly cooked
mattress was uncomfortable and lumpy. A brief look showed that the room had only been dusted and polished where on show...underneath the bed and furniture there were pockets of dust
Great value, large room, lovely touches like real tea-leaves, home made shortbread biscuits, milk and water in fridge, settee for relaxing. Good meal in the evening with excellent wine. Staff throughout very good and friendly. Late checkout is a bonus. Great value for money throughout, even had a pool for a morning swim!
The staff are excellent and extremely attentive, the restaurant and wine list is exceptional, providing excellent value for money spent.
There is nothing I do not like about this hotel. I have stayed on numerous occasions over the past 3 years and have never had any worry about anything.
