Very attractive facility, well maintained. Staff very helpful and courteous. Great base for travel in the Edinburgh area.
Location on bus line and near the airport. Spacious room with clean facilities. Accommodating staff.
I cannot think of anything.
All of it
Beautiful old house .Lovely friendly staff .Clean and comfortable .Good breakfast .
Didn't sleep well through no fault of the hotel but due to all night traffic.
Closeness to city and airport Able to check in early.
Good friendly staff.
Poor disabled facilites, although we had a ground floor room for my disabled mother who had to use the Fire exit to exit the building as she could not manage the front door steps.
Room was generally nice and tidy, close to the zoo and not a long bus ride into the city centre either.
Shower didn't work properly, when we arrived for breakfast it was very disorganised and it took some time before we could eat, door into the bathroom didn't close properly and lock at all.
Good breakfast. Courteous staff. Convenient location
No elevator to reach our assigned rooms in higher floors No support to carry luggage to rooms.
Breakfast spread was nice.
A little too far from city centre
When I booked was told there was car park when we arrived we were told there was not one and that we had to park in a side street at £154.00 per night B & B the place was dirty blinds didn't fit windows. Windows were sealed so no ventilation. breakfast was rushed. wardrobe door wouldn't close, mattress had springs poking out of it sheets didn't fit beds, beds not made properly, faeces on door frame, rubbish on door entry. I would NEVER recommend this hotel. Not safe if there was a fire you would not get out alive. My daughter and I both came home with chest infections. Beds must have been crawling with mites.
Location ok, on a busy bus route, staff friendly.
Comedy bed - steel frame bed with loose bolts & squeaky springs. Just as well we weren't planning an amorous weekend. Hot water came out of the cold tap and vice-versa. Room was at the top of the hotel on 2nd floor with a sky light and no opening windows. @ £135.00/night they have to be kidding - even if it was during festival week. We won't be back!
easy 20 minute bus ride to downtown. Staff explained the bus to us in simple terms. Clean B&B -hotel - rooms, breakfast area, halls. Great breakfast choices. We had a parking area off the street (limited to a few cars)
Front outside entrance bit messy. One hour of picking up litter would make a big difference.
large room, rich breakfast, close to airport
a bit noisy as close to very busy road
The family room with conservatory built on was fantastic.
Very creaky floorboards in room above family room
I liked the old building it had loads of romantic charm, the room was a large, quiet and generous. The hotel is close to the airport and in the morning there are taxis every few minutes.
I arrived around 8 pm and was confused as to which door I should go to. The staff member wasn't very warm or welcoming but he did his job. I asked to book a taxi in the morning to the airport as I was leaving early and he did it but could have told me it wasn't necessary as there were so many driving past even at 5.30 in the morning, I could have saved a few pounds if he had let me know. The bathroom shower didn't drain properly and cut my shower short as I was worried about flooding.
Rooms were clean and a good size for families. Breakfast was excellent.
Noisy customers'doors banging, front door slamming when people coming and going. Other than that a good stay.
Place was very clean and cosy. Two grandparents and a three year old non eating grandchild. Breakfast was brilliant and catering for my geandson. He ate more for breakfast than he has ever done for some time. Thank you to the staff abd their friendly approach to him.
Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. Good location for transport links.
WiFi not easy to .
was booking in very late and staff went the extra mile to accomodate me
The staff were nice.
My room was cramped dated no wifi in my room. I woke up to find that something had bitteny during the night. Even though my windows were closed. The bar was to hot to site in and the beer was very warm.
Room size, breakfast, cleanliness
No curtains on one window, blinds broke, inability to block out traffic lights from main road late at night, sun light at 4am in the morning
Large room, wonderful carpeting, good location close to the airport and bus line into Edinburgh
Bathroom small but serviceable
Clean handy for facilities,
No parking areas
