Location in countryside is lovely and the grounds are well kept. The building itself is wonderful. The staff were very pleasant and the dinner was excellent. Just wish we had more time to stay longer.… More

Just 5 minutes' drive from junction 1 of the M6, Brownsover Hall Hotel is a fabulous Grade II listed Victorian Gothic mansion nestling in 7 acres of woodland and gardens.

The magnificent building has a dramatic interior with a sweeping staircase and crackling log fires in the winter. Together with the stunning Gilbert Scott restaurant and atmospheric Sir Frank Whittle bar this gives the Brownsover Hall distinct charm.

The hotel hosts many weddings and functions throughout the year, so dinner may be served in one of the hotel's beautiful private dining suites. Please check with the hotel at time of booking regarding restaurant services.

The excellent Gilbert Scott restaurant offers an enjoyable and varied menu. The interior is striking with its high carved-wood ceiling and leaded windows. Snacks are available from the bar throughout the day as well as 24hr room service.

Brownsover Hall Hotel boasts 47 well-appointed spacious rooms, offering timeless elegance of the 19th century with the convenience of the modern day. The stable block within the grounds has been converted into rooms which all have a distinct and unique charm, retaining many of the original oak beams.

The hotel has ground floor rooms available, which should be requested at the time of booking. All rooms have en suite bath or shower facilities, as well as a full range of modern amenities (please see individual room details for a complete list).

Refreshments are available throughout the day via room service.

Area information

The hotel is a great base from which to explore fantastic days out in the surrounding region.

Stratford-upon-Avon is just 34 miles (55 km) from the hotel. Stratford-upon-Avon is famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare and there are connections to the bard at every turn, including Anne Hathaway’s cottage and, of course, the famous theatre.

Only 25 miles (40 km) away, there is Warwick, with its beautifully preserved castle. The fine Regency buildings and the famous Royal Pump Rooms of Leamington Spa are just 23 miles (37 km) from the hotel.

The water pressure in the shower was pretty useless, and the lack of safety rail and shower mat made morning ablutions quite dangerous. Once these oversights have been rectified the hotel is excellent!	8.5
