Wram welcome, attractive room, attentive and pleasant staff. I felt a bit miffed that so many of the spa facilities were not operational due to some technical fault. I had chosen the hotel because previous stays had been really good because of the spa. I didnt ask for a refund but having booked a superior room particularly to enjoy a spa-related stay, I thought that this was a bit much. Nevertheless, I'd stay in the place again anytime.

The location was great for me and the hotel is in a beautiful setting. The food, although good, wasn't as good as I expected based on the reputation of the hotel. My bed was very uncomfortable as the mattress sagged in the middle (I did mention this to the receptionist when I checked out).

The well trained staff who all spoke excellent english, sometimes a real problem in Hotels/Restaurants. Bedrooms were very clean and sheets changed each day. Good English or Continental Breakfast served and the Hotel setting is in 10 acers of Buckinghamshire countryside and quiet at night. At certain times of the day or evening the aircraft taking off from Heathrow must have had a game to see if the pilots could see into the Hotel bar....they were very low whilst taking off.

The only good thing I could say was that Duty Manager paul was excellent in his service, attitude and was very good with our child. Several times we advised staff of food laying in hall ways but was left there for several days. The linen on the beds was not changed daily. A bar fridge would have been handy as our daughter has food allergies and we had to borrow an esky to keep medication and specialised food cool. The plumbing was annoying as it sounded like a fog horn everytime you flushed the toiled - this was in the executive wing of the hotel (newer part).

Staff very pleasant and helpful, leisure facilities good, enjoyed a couple of swims in the pool although Jacuzzi out of order. Shower gel dispensers in changing room showers was a nice touch as hadn't remembered to take any down with me. Evening meal in restaurant was excellent. Did expect a larger bed than standard double in 4 star hotel! Disappointed the shellfish dishes on the menu were not available.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a fair size and very clean. The grounds and setting are lovely. The pool area needs work - it looks quite shabby. The hotel was really hot - we were lucky to have air conditioning in our room - without it, the room would have been unbearable. The breakfast was good but things ran out quickly. The toilets have awkward flushing systems that make the most bizarre noises!

Relaxing atomsphere, very friendly staff. Only 4 milk cartons supplied, needed double, small point was meant the coffee was too strong. Plus only 2 coffee sachets so which is poor. Room should have some bottles of water supplied.

The position was good (we were attending an event just 3 miles away). The day time staff were pleasant. The breakfast was good. The male receptionist on arrival was curt and unpleasant and if we had not already booked in and were attending an event nearby we would have left. The room we had (217) was small and clean but the bed was dreadful - the mattress was like sleeping in a furrowed field. Horrible bedding as well - polyester and very cheap.

The staff were all most helpful Our room was very roomy and clean. But it was old and and needed attention. For example, water dripped into our bathroom from the room above and it had a air blower in the bedroom to help keep the bedroom cool but which blew out as much hot air as cool. We were in the old part of the hotel probably because we booked through you.
