The welcome we received was warm and friendly. The hotel bedrooms were spacious and very warm which in December us very important for me. We only had breakfast but there was lots if choice and it was served in nice surroundings.
The lift was very slow and a but cranky. Frustrating when you have a lot if baggage to move around.
Beautiful location helped us to relax, as did the leisure facilities- clean and warm swimming pool and a lovely jacuzzi and sauna. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious.
Stayed on a Thursday night, but even so, it was eerily quiet in the restaurant.
Everything, the hotel itself. The spa area. The staff are helpful and courteous that includes everyone, receptionists, restaurant staff, cleaners etc.The room was very comfortable and it was good that we had air conditioning .
the only thing I didn't like was the main course of my evening dinner. I ordered sea bass fillet. but it was very overcooked and the skin on it was rather burnt so the fish was very dry. My dinner otherwise was very good. and my dinner companions really enjoyed their meal.
As previous review - good facilities and a lovely setting. Great breakfast and just about the comfiest bed known to humankind. We were attending a show at the Wycombe Swan theatre and this characterful hotel is within easy reach.
As previous review! A few creaks at busy times but that's to be expected in a country house hotel.
beautiful building and grounds high quality, large room very good dinner and breakfast
I enjoyed my whole weekend there. The service was awesome since I arrived. I feel like a star. Also I like the food and my room was so comfortable and nice.
It is not much signal for the Internet there.
the setting, the staff were friendly and very good
all was good
lovely building, good location. Very peaceful, staff helpful. Pool and sauna nice. Breakfast very good.
Hotel very hot, room far too hot. Beds not very comfortable. Food and drink expensive.
Restaurant served surprisingly great food though decor, carpet and hallways looking tired
Tired and dated. Windows were dusty and hadn't been cleaned in the room
The bedrooms were far too hot and stuffy
Convenient for our plans following day. Beautiful surroundings. Staff pleasant and helpful. Sofa in room very comfortable. Perfectly adequate but not special.
Room excessively hot. Fittings in some cases flimsy and not well fitted eg bath surround. Bed not particularly comfortable - certainly compared to Premier Inn I'd stayed in for previous 2 nights. TV noise from adjoining room highlighted lack of sound proofing
Rooms were far too hot to sleep Beds uncomfortable Toilet seats do not stay up when males using toilet making it very awkward Bathrooms too small Being put in a part of the hotel when wedding were going on and then not being able to sleep due to the noise
Massge treatement was very good.
No dressing gowns/slippers for the spa.
Very good breakfast. Staff helpful. Warm.- (We did not have dinner there)
The room was tired and needed re decorating. The bath/shower facilities were old and out of date. It looked as though no money had been spent on it for many years. The room was small, and the furniture was well worn. It was clean. Wi-Fi did not work.
I have stayed at Burnham Beeches for business purposes before as it is not far from my head office. The location is excellent, the staff are helpful and polite, the grounds are fabulous,
My room was filthy!! This was a real let down and I have never experienced before at this hotel (I have stayed at least 5 times) but the dressing table and beside tables were covered in dust and the bathroom was simply not clean. Very disappointing
Price of room service
The garden is very nice and so is the location. The staff is very polite and the dinner facilities are good. The bar is good as well.
The finishing of the doors/windows in the rooms are not up to a 4 star standard. Neither is the leisure club. The pool is very small and the sauna requires a full makeover. Moreover, it is not possible to play tennis on that tennis court...it's been left to the whims of nature...
The rooms which we occupied were very hot and we had to have the fan on all night. Could do with air conditioning.
Service from staff
Rooms too warm, no zircon
a shower that was either scalding hot or freezing cold
Didn't think it was a 4* hotel. The shower was blocked, the room was very small and the breakfast was poor.
Lovely room and grounds, use of pool, excellent breakfast and the most comfortable bed I can recall of late!
Slight noise intrusion - creaks from adjoining rooms and the like - but this is a listed building, not a set of concrete boxes. Live with it and enjoy!
Room was very hot and dusty.
Very hot and stuffy room. Had to step over drunks lying on floor on way to room at midnight. Wedding taking place and music continued well into the night. Someone then chose to empty lots of bottles into a skip near the bedroom window at 2 am. Bed too small and very uncomfortable. Very shabby decor. Had payed £30 less at a Holiday Inn the previous evening and it was far superior in every way. Why were we not warned that a wedding would be taking place and that it would be very noisy? Cheap and nasty hotel experience.
Location. beautiful building and grounds. Friendly staff.
Lack of air conditioning so room was v hot day and night. The bathroom smelt of damp. The jacuzzi didnt work.
