Easy to get to from A-1.Food was of a good quality with excellent parking facilirties Rooms are too expensive for what is offered The rooms in the numbers 42- 60 face towards the adjacent forrest which makes them dark and you need to have the lights on during the day. The room had only basic facilitieis with no ironing board or iron supplied in the room. There was a lack of hand soap in the bathrooms and I was advised that we had the shower soap for that purpose. The rooms got hot due to having lights on which meant that it necessary to have the windows wide open however our room had a notice on the side to warn of Mosquitoe problems from the adjacent woods if the lights were left on with the windows open. Needless to say there was no Air con.

The situation of the hotel, it was ideal for moving about North Nottinghamshire. We found the staff very polite and very helpful. The food was very good and the service in the dining areas was of a good standard. We would have no qualms about going for another break in this hotel and recommending it to our friends

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good facilities, the pool, steam room and sauna are not very big but very clean. The evening food was to a high standard. By comparison to the evening meal, the breakfast was disappointing. We had to wait 25 minutes to be offered a drink. We asked on booking for a vegetarian breakfast but non was available. When we decided on an alternative, the portions were very miserly. Overall though we enjoyed our stay.

We were at the hotel for a wedding - the wedding was very well run by the lady appointed by the hotel to do so. the hotel is spacious & has a very nice feel to it The reception area & staff were poor - incomplete information given & a promised call when our room was ready was not carried out. lack of draught beer at the bar in the function room

No soap or hair dryer in what was a room that was over £100 per night was not good value for money. The steak that we had in the restaurant was just fat and gristle a complaint that it was unedible fell on deaf ears. Would not recommend this hotel to anybody that I liked.

I have been to Clumber and stayed on previous anniversaries and celebrations, however this was the hardest to arrange, and no mention was made when booked that no a la carte service would be available, as I found out later that this was only available at weekends. This was our 20th wedding anniversary meal and stayover, when trying to book the bridal suite, I was informed it wasn't available, I was emailed this info and offered an alternative booking in a room with a four-poster, only to be informed that they had made a mistake, and that this wasn't available either. I ordered champagne and strawberries to be in the room, and arrived promptly as arranged at 7.30 pm, but the ice had melted and strawberries looked like they had been there all day. ( Why ask when you are arriving if the time and trouble cannot be taken to act on the info.) This may sound picky, but this was a special day for us and I feel more effort could, and should have been made to make the basics correct..

Location good. Room fine but no better that Premier Inn standard. Evening meal was ok but nothing special for the price. We waited 50 mins for food to arrive, lasagne lovely but the pie was dry as sticks and a bit burnt. I was hungry after waiting so long so I ate the pie, but asked the waitress to tell the chef. No one came back to me on this, not even an apology. There is no lounge to sit in after the meal and the dining tables were needed for more diners, so we found two chairs to sit in reception - not exactly bespoke! Breakfast was good first morning, but 2nd morning it was a buffet. We had to ask for fresh eggs, beans etc as bowls were empty and some food dried up. We will not return or recommend the hotel.

Very ggod location for the concert we attended in Clumber Park, even tho we got lost walking back!!! Very nice and clean and the bedroom and bathroom were a good size. The breakfast area could do with a toasting machine as we had to ask staff for toast that took about 15mins to arrive!!

The best thing about Clumber Park Hotel is the location.Directly opposite one of the entrances to a beautiful park. The room was clean, the little courtyard garden was pleasant and it looked as though you could hire bikes - although we didn't have time for this.Food in the bar restaurant was fine. Not too pricey. Some of the staff were a bit offhand. I telephoned before our visit to see if they would book me a taxi and they advised me to Google Taxi online! On the otherhand, when we arrived, Jamie, at reception was very helpful and gave us a map of Clumber Park and was chatty. Breakfast was fine but the fruit was a mixture of tinned and fresh. There wasn't a hairdryer in the room, although reception offered to supply one if we needed it.

A lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was excellent, comfortable and great value for money. The Spa facilities were also excellent, very relaxing and a great range of treatments. Breakfast was excellent. We definately plan to stay there again. Our only criticism was the menu at the Courtyard Restaurant, it wasn't our choice of food and there was nothing at all on the menu we would have chosen, but it may suit some peoples taste. The menu was better in the Normanton but we did feel the prices were a little high, especially as the hotel itself was good value for money and reasonably priced.

The staff were really lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much! And we saw the same staff working late into the night and working all the next day. And they were still smiling! Our room was rather warm and had no air running through it. We opened up the windows when we were in it which helped a little.

We liked the position of the hotel as we could walk into clumber park (National Trust) without taking the car. The bedrooms were a little bit tired but the bedding was clean. The lounge and breakfast room were a better standard and the breakfast was great. The spa was excellent.

On the surface this looks a very attractive upmarket establishment,we arrived a little later than anticipated. Reception was very friendly and polite, we were checked in very quickly. My children were expecting to be able to swim. We were dissappointed that childrens swimming was restricted between 4-6pm and 10 am until noon the following day. Checkout was 11 the next day.{not practical to do,two very unhappy kids} The room was just ok,again it was the really cold spell when we got there, we were a corner room on the external wall, I had to put the radiators on it was cold. Food we went a la carte, it was ok for the price you paid but just lukewarm. Eating again in the conservatory in winter, not a good idea,it was far too cold. The highlight was probably the barman, who gave great service, and actually had a laugh with you. Overall I saw no value for money here, it lacked atmosphere, and most of the staff looked like it was a burden to be there.

We liked the location and the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was a good full english! It is slightly old interior and needs refurbishment, there was no way to turn down the heating, very hot during the night even after turning down the thermostat. The TV did not work on arrival but to the staffs credit was replaced within the hour!

The fact it was nearly £4 a pint, and the fact I couldnt get anything warm to eat after 10 pm. You cant beat that, and when your staving all night the breakfast was tiny. Cant wait to come back,

Poor : hotel needs refurbishment; human hair in bath; shower controls not working properly; several ingredients on menu not served; double glazing removed, room noisy; paintwork shoddy in places; dinner not available in restaurant because of party bookings. Overall not a happy stay.
