The spa The location Bed was comfortable
Very dated decor in rooms Wash basin blocked Toilet handle broken Everywhere looked rather tired.
The public rooms were nicely decorated, the courtyard offered excellent food in the evening and the spa was nice although nothing more than you would get in a gym.
For £120 a night I would have expected a much better room (we stayed two nights and ate in the courtyard so spent money in the hotel we didn't just sleep there) one of the receptionists told me the hotel wasn't rated and also said we couldn't have robes and slippers for the spa as we didn't book an executive room ... the other receptionist explained the rating and gave us robes and slippers - felt the rooms were far too expensive - we have stayed in other hotels for far less money and had much better, more modern rooms - disappointed - especially as I had booked the room well in advance and said it was a surprise for my husbands 40th Birthday.
Children running uop and down the corridor!!
We had a lovely relaxing short break, the spa facilities were just what we needed and made good use of the pool, steam room and hot tub.
The food was very disappointing, Luke warm breakfast and an expensive evening meal. Definitely not what I expected from this hotel.
The spa facilities were really good, the area was clean and relaxing. The food, from the home made milkshake at the spa to the evening meal, were great
The rooms were a little tired and the bed was far too soft, not comfy at all
The spa was great
We paid £95 at the last minute without breakfast and ended up in a room obviously usually used for groups or families as it had an adjoining door right next to our bed. We could hear the conversation of the people in the next room, it felt like they were in our room!! We were very disappointed and uncomfortable with this and it ruined what should have been a relaxing stay - such a shame as the spa and staff were lovely.
location spa and gym rooms
service could be better - no sherry no brandy glasses ! children restricted to swimming pool use 5- 7 only
Apart from the fact that I could not get into my room because the lock was faulty, the room and service was very good. The staff dealt with the lock problem quite quickly and gave me extra toiletries, so I was very happy.
The spa facility especially the outdoor jacuzzi.
Bathroom was needing some refurbishment. Did not even provide a shower cap. Noisy heating system.
Spa was so clean and comfortable, we had treatments, which were most relaxing. Good food at the Normanton Inn
No mobile signal in hotel
Staff very friendly and helpful. Food very good, particularly liked freshly cooked breakfast with lots of choice. Would recommend to others.
The price of a double espresso, extortionate!
Staff lovely on reception and bar area.
Bed really uncomfortable, really noisy, had an accident in the spa shower got a nasty bang to my knee from faulty shower was told I would get a call from the manager re my injured knee never received a call or any follow up.
Spa and location
Not long enough stay!
outdoor hot tub
there was supposed to be complimentary treats and drinks in the fridge but there was only milk for tea and coffee and still and sparkling water, then on our 2nd day there was no milk left by the maid who did the room that was very disappointing apart from that I would stay again
We had a very enjoyable stay. Staff were friendly in the hotel and spa. Food was good value for money and to a good standard. Wifi was free every where on site which was nice to have. Overall we would stay again and recommend to others.
Wifi was available but not very strong
Food was better than expected. Friendly staff.
On a main road, however we had a quiet room at the back so we're not aware of the traffic at all. Very peaceful weekend.
Rooms overlooking the court yard are quiet.
No room services menus in room or details about what the spa did.
Had a good nights sleep having asked to move from a room by the road to one of the back rooms
The fact having paid over £100 for this room we were given a room at the front overlooking a very busy road whil single business people were being given the quieter rooms. Pretty basic rooms much like a premier inn but at a much inflated cost.
The room was clean and basic with everything you needed provided. The spa was excellent..an added bonus!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the only downside was the bed was rather lumpy and uncomfortable. We are not the tallest people and our feet were hanging over the edge! I wouldn't have classed it as a double bed more like a 3/4 bed. Although the spa shut at 9 nobody told us that the outdoor hottub turned off at 8.30 so when we finally had the chance to try it out as it had been full, we only had 5minutes of bubbles.
I had a lovely stay here with my partner was very relaxing, had abit of trouble at night but spoke to the manager and sorted it all out and was offered a complimentary night, so they do listen to you, would recommend to family and friends and will defiantly be going a few times a year now Brillant!!!
Good location of Hotel Helpfulness of staff luxury toiletries in the bathroom
Television too small for the size of room
Enjoyed our stay but disappointed that on two separate occasions we were unable to get our choice of food from the menu, as they had run out. This shouldn't happen.
food,spa,room ,clumber park itself
surrounding locations don`t provide much interest
Loved the spa and facilities and the food was excellent
Bed and bathroom were clean. Nice to have tea making facillities Surroundings
There was a buzzing sound coming from the hallway that was on continuously and I wasn't able to concentrate. The kitchen staff took a very long time 25min + to bring out our breakfast Better range of teas and option of brown sugar in the room.
