The room was clean and basic with everything you needed provided. The spa was excellent..an added bonus!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the only downside was the bed was rather lumpy and uncomfortable. We are not the tallest people and our feet were hanging over the edge! I wouldn't have classed it as a double bed more like a 3/4 bed. Although the spa shut at 9 nobody told us that the outdoor hottub turned off at 8.30 so when we finally had the chance to try it out as it had been full, we only had 5minutes of bubbles.
I had a lovely stay here with my partner was very relaxing, had abit of trouble at night but spoke to the manager and sorted it all out and was offered a complimentary night, so they do listen to you, would recommend to family and friends and will defiantly be going a few times a year now Brillant!!!
Good location of Hotel Helpfulness of staff luxury toiletries in the bathroom
Television too small for the size of room
Enjoyed our stay but disappointed that on two separate occasions we were unable to get our choice of food from the menu, as they had run out. This shouldn't happen.
food,spa,room ,clumber park itself
surrounding locations don`t provide much interest
Loved the spa and facilities and the food was excellent
Bed and bathroom were clean. Nice to have tea making facillities Surroundings
There was a buzzing sound coming from the hallway that was on continuously and I wasn't able to concentrate. The kitchen staff took a very long time 25min + to bring out our breakfast Better range of teas and option of brown sugar in the room.
Liked the hotel being so close to Clumber Park and the spa facilities were good
Staff attitude. Eg mentioned as waitress took breakfast plate away that I hadn't been given a black pudding and instead of an apology was told "well do you want one? We've plenty"
The service in the restaurant was erratic and possibly the staff were inexperienced
Staff addressed the problems when told about them
Room was not up to the standard of an executive room
stayed in one of the disabled rooms and the shower curtain was filthy and the sink is to small and is not very good for an able body person also staying in the room and would benefit from a chair in bathroom
Car park was fine. TV reception OK. WIFI worked but not secure
Location of Bedroom. ground floor front. Impossible to get a good nights sleep due to traffic passing on A614. Bathroom not up to standard. Evening meal overpriced. No offer of help with luggage. general lack of interest in customers.
Great facilities, nice and clever staff, good breakfast. Unfortunately we did not have time to test the spa
Nice and quiet location, but... Quite a lot of noise from the cars racing by, just 20 yards from our beds.
Good location for exploring the Forest area. Ample parking. Staff friendly. Nice quadrangle garden seating area.
Room needed refurbishing- armchair grubby and threadbare. Clumber Park has delusions of grandeur -a week later I stayed at a better quality Best Western Spa hotel in the Lake District (still within school holiday period) Sat+ Sunday for £30 less and a quality breakfast included (room only at Clumber Park).
The whole hotel is desperately in need of a refurb! The bathroom was filthy, cracked tiles around the bath, mould around the bath and shower screen, filthy shabby flooring. No basics like tissues, shower caps available. Carpets throughout the hotel in a shocking state. I would never recommend to anyone. At best this could receive a rating less than 2*
I liked the décor old and new mixed in nice and quiet if you want anything staff get it straight away I asked for room at back we got one so yes very happy.
Fast traffic on main road front of hotel.
Room. Very tired.
Food in the bar & breakfast
Rooms were shabby, unprofessional staff on reception, very noisy radiators, stained bedroom carpet, unsafe cables, scratched furniture, bathroom definately needs refurburshing
I thought the staff at the normington inn were very good, especially olly who was very understanding with regards my wife's disability. The staff who managed the breakfast were also helpful.
I was a little surprised with the facilities in your disabled room. The TV was poorly positioned over the wardrobe, making it difficult to access whilst other furniture was again poorly located and often ill fitting / too tight to the walls and toilet door. The light fitting had a green light in it which kept us both awake all night shining in our eyes. The second night saw us kept awake well after 12 midnight with several children making lots of noise screaming and running up and down the corridor. I tried to ring both reception and the office to report the issue on several occasions, but only got an engaged tone or no response. Since my wife had a stroke only quite recently the idea was to get away for a relaxing break, given the recent circumstances. Sadly this was not the case, hence this disappointing review.
Staff were well mannered, Building and surrounding areas
Could hear every thing that next door was doing as soon as we entered the room, got woke up at 07:00 from them talking, taking shower, tv and then hairdryer going off not at all happy.
We stated in an executive room which was great. The spa was great could do with a little more seating around pool.
We booked executive room, was spacious, comfortable and had robes, slippers and complimentary drinks and snacks which was lovely , very peaceful, and the spa is very good for a hotel well worth going just to it. Staff very friendly.
Food quality not up to the rest of hotel, and breakfast felt abit rushed as our cooked items arrived well before we had time to eat much of our cereal etc meaning we had to leave them, prob due to bad timing of waiting staff. Was not terrible it's just the rest of hotel is so good.
The noise was un bearable unable to get to sleep until 0230 and when again at 0430 not good at all. Informed the reception in the morning and informed that she would get maintenance to look at the window. How does that help me?
The staff were good the food was good the location was good for what we required The staff in the normanton inn were helpful and not pushy or quick they let you have time to look at the menu
I was expecting a lot more from the hotel it is little better than a premier inn but more expensive the hotel could do with a make over the room we had need painting the carpet in the breakfast room was well stained our room had no view
Nice hotel, clean, good quality in rooms and bathroom, good breakfast, nice staff, free parking - all you could ask for, really. Unfortunately we did not have time for spa and a swim...
Some noise from the traffic passing by at high speed.
