Score from 3447 reviews Very good
Situated just under 2 miles from Manchester Airport’s terminal building, Holiday Inn Express Manchester Airport features a bar lounge and parking. It is just 10 miles from Manchester’s city centre.

Airport Inn Manchester is located south of Manchester city centre, situated in a convenient location just minutes from Manchester Airport, Wilmslow town centre and junction 6 of the M56.

Very helpful and accomodating staff, when our arrival was delayed over 2 hrs ,by trainline problems . Appreciated that we could still have dinner quite late, and that dining room doesnt close till 9 . 30 pm .
Very limited towels for 2 in the bathroom - probably an oversight
When looking for an overnight at Manchester airport, this is a good alternative to the larger Stereo-type hotels and the food in the restaurant was excellent.
Staff were excellent, attentive.
Room very small, although adequate. Poor signposting so difficult to find.
Excellent location for the airport and surrounding areas, the reception staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The food in the restaurant surpassed my expectations and the prices of drink and food were very reasonable. The room was good, very quiet (always good before a long flight).
The rooms were a little dated (bathroom decor was very 1950's). Restaurant staff were a little pretentious. Rooms didn't feel very fresh.
Friendly staff Good shuttle service to airport
phone in room had flashing light on which would not go off
On my way home from a longer trip abroad, I stayed one night on my own in this place full of character. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and the building is charming. I got a free lift from the hotel bus stop outside the terminal (take your mobile and the number.. the courtesy phones seem to be broken) and was pleasantly surprised when I got into room 39. Had my lucky day to have a four poster bed, a comfy sofa, a big tv and a beautiful view onto the gardens. I had a meal in the restaurant later on, it was very tasty and served with a lot of style. The corridors are a bit of a maze but there are signposts everywhere. I liked the fact there was a lot of character to the hotel and that the staff were very friendly. It is still in walking distance to the airport, even if it isn't the nicest of walks due to some litter issues. I tried the breakfast in the morning and enjoyed the experience. There was a cooked breakfast menu and a cold breakfast buffet.
I wasn't happy with the fact that there was a loud reception in the gardens outside my windows with pop music on full blast from the afternoon until 9 pm. However, I was informed this was an exception and after that time, it was no issue to get some good rest. I would still give the place another try, because it surely has more of a real place to it then the big chains closer to the airport terminals.
Generally a comfortable building with very friendly and attentive staff in all departments.
The plumbing in Room No.57 requires attention.
Stair case was really dirty
Excellent hotel so close to airport but no noise. Room was very spacious and beautifully appointed - excellent place to stay after very long flight. All staff were very friendly and helpful and would fully recommend.
Position so close to terminals. Lovely elegant hotel. Old fashioned (in the best sense) service. Rooms with great character. Hotel full of wonderful artwork and books.
Plumbing a bit wonky, but I gather this is very soon to be upgraded.
Smallness of the room for two people - it is like trying to sleeping in a shell not much bigger than a double coffin. Shower is a very tight fit and water goes everywhere. Definitely not recommended unless you are very small in height.
Etrop Grange is just a few minutes drive from Manchester's terminals, but feels very much in the country rather than an "airport" hotel, and there does not seem to be any aircraft noise to speak of. The beds are by Hypnos, and are very comfortable.
The beautiful room and the staff are very friendly & helpful! The food at the restaurant was also great! I really enjoyed the stay!
Transfers from and to Manchester airport; Friendly and very helpful staff; (Ian and Alan); Pleasant and comfortable room; Good breakfast.
Bedside/reading lighting just a little dim.
Typical English facility Staff
Transportation between airport and hotel
room size; cleanliness; friendliness; airport drop off; very accommodating and helpful staff
Great historic building that was in impeccable condition!!
Shower would not deliver hot water, the tub provided hot water, but the shower mechanism was not working correctly; water was freezing cold.
Beautiful old hotel, well run, excellent food and very attentive.to their guests. Nothing is too much for them. Would make this the only airport hotel in Manchester where I would stay. A rare find.
Ease of transfer from and to the airport. Very pleasant welcome, all the staff are friendly, even at 4 o'clock in the morning as you leave for the airport! Small but comfortable bedroom with en-suite bathroom and hot drinks making facilities. Excellent restaurant. It is so near the airport and yet is like a little country house. It was also good value for money, comparing favourably to the large noisy chain hotels on site. We have used it before and will use it again. The perfect start to a holiday
Really nothing to dislike
I love the elegant old world style of accomodation
the double bed was a 4' 6 " . At home we are used to a 5 ' The bed did seem a little small for us.
Staff were very welcoming, good location for visiting the family and motorway network.
I booked a garden view room with air conditioning. I got a slate roof view overlooking an office block and the air con was not wired in hence did not work. The hotel could do with putting net curtains or blinds for privacy. The extractor fan did not work in the bathroom which made it impossible to use the mirror when the shower had been in use (too misty).
I enjoyed my stay for the most part staff were great location was good room was nice and comfy and clean would recommend the hotel will book again
didn't like fact I had leaking air conn on first night tho had room changed next day didn't like fact couldn't open window as was locked so no air conn and no window open on a very hot night was not comfy night
1. Well-appointed & comfortable hotel. 2. Friendly & helpful staff. 3. Brilliant location - very convenient for airport.
Nothing to grouse about, although the loo seat in our bathroom was insecurely fixed!
It ia away from the airport so not noisy. Most of staff very helpful.
Having to get a transfer to an dfrom airport and station. Difficult to contact hotel on arrival at airport. Wedding in hotel on our second night which rather swamped the bar area
