Great location with the charm of old. Courtesy bus availability was great to use with close location to the airport.

Comfort of the bedrooms

Very small portions of food served for SOME dishes only in the main bar (cod fish on a "spaghetti" bed made of potatoes and onions.). Presentation good but size of portion about 5 oz.

Great staff especially duty manager who moved us from trhe first room we were given which was terrible, not sure why I was booked in there especially when my company uses the hotel on may occasions !!!

gloomy, uncomfortable tiny room and took us to the hotel room including Breakfast, although we were warned that we will leave at 6 o'clock in the morning, and in the morning we knew Breakfast from 6-30........

Ventaxias in the rooms were very noisy in the morning, especially from 7.15 on.

Great location, easy to find. Lovely building - just needs a light touch refurbishment.

Hotel needs a bit light touch refurbishment. Given the heavy business traffic, there should be express check outs. Check in / check out efficiency needs improving. There didn't seem to be an access ramp for disabled users. No early breakfast option

A lovely 'old fashioned' hotel with style. A pleasant change from so many of the 'battery chicken" hotels. Location perfect for Manchester Airport and the room plus parking is a very reasonable price. Staff service excellent with wit and humour added at no extra charge

Temporary roadworks impeded access but that is not the hotel's fault.

Long walk to bedroom without lift

The drivers were pleasant and prompt, and the room was clean and comfortable.

The receptionist was at best, aloof and seemed to hardly be able to bother. The drink prices were ridiculous. Almost £6 for a coke and a bottle of beer. ( The bar had no draught beers, due to no gas, which meant we had to walk to the local pub. )

Extremely helpful & friendly staff. Resolved all my problems, gave me a bigger room, gave me a bargain breakfast because of (tiny) problem. Made useful suggestions & took me to & from carhire carpark & airport to make my travel easier & more pleasant. Food good.

Very busy....staff harassed and tired, throughout this overnight stay. Breakfast....with the room booked, this was an quite expensive hotel, and breakfast then seemed poor..menue basics (no skimmed milk, no brown toast, etc.); over-streched staff); no set or even unused tables (at 08.15); only remaining tables dirty with previously occupants' spilled food; etc.

Old world charm, location, no noise, reasonable price.

The free shuttle service worked a treat. For arrival after 10 pm they advised to take a taxi from the airport, keep the receipt and they would repay the money in cash. Nice old style of furnishings and clean air unlike most airport hotels. Park and lake nearby for a stroll.

The fire alarm went off early morning, but nobody seemed to take action.

There was nothing about this hotel that I would recommend

The Cleanliness of the room (14) was well below an acceptable standard. The service in the restaurant and the quality of the food (I had a 28 day old steak) was totally unacceptable. It was more akin to a hostal than a hotel and the noise throughout the night meant that I did not get any sleep. The receptionist was not interested in any comments in the morning when checking out.
