Lovely location and very clean.
Very long wait to get served at the bar (25 mins). Also the marco Pierre White restaurant gave out A menu which did not tell you it was only served Monday to Friday (false advertising).
Loved the location and all of the little add ons that not many other hotels think of eg the cookie when you check in. Rooms are lovely
The spa is brilliant, rooms are high standard, food in the Brasserie was very good. Staff throughout were helpful and very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them!
1) I liked the location very much. It's nice and relaxing 2) I liked the chocolate cookie they give to every guest 3) I liked the size, comfort and cleanness of the rooms
1) I was a bit disappointed by the staff! They were not looking after the guests properly..For example, in the restaurant, we had to wait for long time to get served or get the bill..some of them were just having a chit chat between them 2) Breakfast buffet, the croissants and other patisseries were not fresh, a bit disappointing for a Hotel like Hilton! Even Tesco has delicious and fresh croissants :-) 3) When we came over, the hot chocolate machine was out of order but there was no indication or sign , the staff didn't mention anything, they let us wonder in front of the broken machine
Great place to pull up to and see arriving in the dark of night. The warm cookies on arrival made my wife's day and the staff were very friendly.
The pillows were border line useless, put your head on it and it sinks to the mattress. I know thats a personal preference but it really was the only detriment to our stay.
location was very good ,rooms are a good size with adequate tea making facilities ,clean bathroom with toiletries and luxurious towels. Comfortable king size bed.
Breakfast choice of cereals etc, cooked food very bland .
Spa was great
Scrum at breakfast Not enough space in restaurant Weird mix of people walking round in towels combined with wedding party Mpw restaurant v average and overpriced
The pool and relaxing area and the spa
The outdoor pool and the pillows
We had to wait an hour and a half for one of our rooms to become available , I had already requested previously to arriving we have rooms close together but this seemed to be what caused the delay. Also our room on the 1st floor smelt of smoke when we had requested a smoke free room. I didn't want to complain again of fear we would have to wait another hour for a room or be moved far away from our friends
The quality of the service as an overall package. Staff where excellent as was the food and drink. A short distance from chester so plenty to do and see.
Priced fairly high BUT as the old saying goes 'you get what you pay for'.
The hotel staff upgraded our room as a wedding gift!
Friendly staff ,Lovely restaurant, comfy clean room.
Wine very expensive, was looking forward to a Jacuzzi it was closed for repairs would think things like that would be done when closed.sorry but you did ask,the breakfast by the time I went down at nine was inedible, why cook that much off early
The room was very clean and comfortable
Spa changing areas and prices of food, especially breakfast
Rooms were comfortable. SPA was very nice
Service in the restaurant was awful Food in the restaurant was awful Wait on food was very long and when it arrived, orders were incorrect On arrival couldn't find booking and waited around 15 minutes for them to find details
Lovely room. Great Facilities Close to Town Centre
Noisy at night. The guests in the room next to us bumbled in at 3.00am and put loud music on until 4.33am (Yes I was clock watching!) Called reception, but didn't seem to do anything.
The spa and facilities
Food quality not great for Marco Pierre white
Great location five minutes from city centre. Staff friendly and helpful. Brasserie food nice if limited in choice.
Marco Pierre White steakhouse was fully booked, next time will book restaurant well in advance.
Breakfast was enjoyable and the staff were helpful.
Air con did not work in my room and outside in the corridor there was a bad sewage smell for 2 nights I was in hotel. I was put in another room, the mattress was of poor quality and there was obvious signs of wear and tear as we kept sinking into it, every time someone used water we could hear pipes rattling loudly. Lowest air con setting was 19 degrees in this room, 16 in previous room. Rooms not cleaned properly as both rooms had spiders webs hanging of the curtains and in the corners. In the first room the toilet wasn't cleaned properly, second room the bathroom was cleaner.
Friendly staff, very clean, quiet and the best part was the massive bed we had in the room where we could have easily fitted another 2 of us in! Comfy bed and pillows! Oh and if you want to go on the Internet just switch the smart tv on! :)
- Good service in the Marco Pierre White Restaurant - Good service in the hotel bar
- very disappointed in the breakfast - beds were too hard - cigarette ends outside room window which was by side-door used by staff - very noisy in the morning, cleaners had their room next door & parked bikes outside window - bathroom door poorly painted and black mould around the bath-seal.
A nice looking hotel in a good location, but probably in need of a major refurbishment. Spacious reception area with friendly and welcoming staff.
Had to have our room changed as the first one had not been cleaned to a very good standard. The public areas do not seem able to cope with the number of guests when the hotel is full. Breakfast is like feeding time at the zoo - chaotic and rather unpleasant. The bar staff are incapable of mixing standard cocktails, either from lack of knowledge or lack of ingredients. Leftover food from room service was left in the corridors for inordinate lengths of time. The rooms, although comfortable, look jaded and worn.
The spa had the best facilities I have used, very clean and the staff very helpful. The hotel was amazing, very clean and the beds very comfortable. My partner and I will be booking again very soon.
There wasn't anything to dislike the whole experience was 100%
Great Spa Excellent staff Clean hotel Good breakfast Nice gardens and surroundings on arrival
Room was noisy (air con or pipes from other rooms, couldn't work out what the constant humming was- luckily I had ear plugs with me) Awful view from our particular room but that wasn't important to us.
Pool, hydrotherapy pool, breakfast, steak house!
Hidden supplement for steak in the restaurant, overcharged on bill!
