Hotel reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was no mobile signal at the hotel therefore wifi should not be charged for. When you are away on a business trip you need to keep in touch with work and home. Dont put things on your breakfast menu that you cannot serve. We asked for Haddock both mornings we were there and were told they didnt have any. It should not have been on the menu or at least we should have been told it was not available. Restaurant staff were not very helpful.

There was pleanty of free parking just outside the hotel. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The rest of the staff (restuarant and room) were very polite and helpful. The restaurant food was very nice and the restaurant staff were very efficient. They were very attentive to details and kept the restaurant very clean. Tables were cleared and re-set instantly. Well done! In general, the hotel is well managed and this is very much appreciated. These are just a couple of constructive comments: We have found it difficult to use our laptop as the point point by the bed were not suitable and the only one usable was by the TV which made awkward as while my husband used his laptop I had to constantly disturb him to go through from one side of the room to the other. The lighting was very poor and made the room very dark. I requested two bedside lamps. Only one was brought up to our room while we were out but it did not make much difference in the lighting. It was quite difficult for me to do my hair or my make-up in front of the mirror in the room. Improving the lighting would be a big advantage. Apart from the above feedback, everything else was fine and we enjoyed our stay with you. Thank you and kind regards, Nicole and Lee Cos

The food was very good My room did not look like it had been vacuumed there was a half eaten biscuit on the floor and a piece of folded up paper which looked like they had been there for some time. The whole place looked like it needed bringing into the 21st century

The staff went beyond the call of duty when my car wouldn't start in the morning. One of them very kindly came and helped me jump start it....not sure you would get that everywhere. Good value for money considering it also had access to leisure facilities and that I was staying on a saturday night.

I booked an overnight stay with my family for my mums 70th birthday. The evening dinner was fantastic and the restaurant staff made a special effort to make mums birthday memorable. We have stayed at the Redwood before and once again we were not disappointed with the rooms and all facilities. Thankyou to all the staff. We will return.

Very friendly & welcoming. Although drinks were quite expensive compared to other hotels we have used. We were there for a Xmas party and the atmosphere was great, the meal was the standard expected for the price. All of our party appeared to enjoy themselves.

The male checkout staff was the most uncaring and disrespectful member of staff that I have ever come across. Charged me for 4 breakfasts when I only had 2. He said that I had booked b&b rate when I had booked room only. The breakfasts in my opinion were not very good. But he was not interested and never even asked me what the problem was. Just wanted me to checkout and pay. I did complain at the time, but he was the only one on checkout and 6 other people were waiting. I will be making a formal complaint to this hotel about his horrendously bad attitude. The worst I have ever come across !

Good Staff and great breakfast for £6 room adaquate. The hotel is geared for events such as weddings, as it is in a remote location result they can charge £120 per room. The leisure club is very tired fittings and facilities are in desparate need to a refit and no padlocks are avaliable for the lockers. The pool is cool and not very inviting as the tiles are worn and green algi lives in the tile cement. The turkish sauna is bearley warm however the Finish sauna is nice and very hot. The rooms are basic but comfortable however the overall decor is tired the bar is not too expensive but more that a local pub. However to Charge £120 for a room comparable with a tired Travellodge is not good. Overall 4/10

Facilities at the adjoining sports club were good and there was a big screen telly for the football which was on that night. Bar staff good too in organising food from the hotel kitchen to be brought over. I had to go outside the hotel to enter the sports facilities rather than through the hotel, and there were no towels available at reception, so I had to walk all the way back again to get towels from my room.

Room was very comfortable. Restaurant was not great. We had set dinner menu which was Ok but choice was limited. Service was average. We had bottle of wine with our meal. This was not put on our room number and caused me some embarrassment when receiving a phonecall on arrival home to be told that this had happened. I expected this to be deducted at the reception desk as I had left my card details for this reason. I did ask on booking out, but was told there was nothing to charge me.

The gym facilities were good if a little old. The free weights section was very good. Somthing missing in a lot new gym setups. Cardio equipment was showing its age in few places but there is plenty of pieces and a good range. The room service menu was not very wide ranging and the quality was not great. fine as a one off but you would get bored with the range very quickley. If it bothered you a lot the main restaurant had a better range of food.

Rooms were very comfortable. To many steps to get in. The front entrance needs totally redesigning. The shower water pressure was very poor. Breakfast was cool to cold and the toast machine does not work properly.

Rooms were very nice, lovely breakfast. Expansive gym and plenty of parking. Pool could use some updating. Later check out time would have been better - even an hour longer.

Staff were helpful but overwhelmed by a large pre-booked party. Rooms pretty good. Public areas such as corridors looking very tired. Bar staff inexperienced. Breakfast was a bit of a shamples - some cooked items not available from the hot counter and a long wait for fried eggs, which we're not properly cooked when they did materialise.

The room was very clean warm and comfortable. Great little swimming pool too. Staff at reception were very helpful. The restaurant reminded me of something out of Monty Python. It took us two hours to have dinner even though it was half empty!! Would be great to have a checkout time of 12.00 instead of 11am - although they kindly extened mine till 12 on request.
