quality for money, clean and welcoming!
A little slow with the fried breakfast when there was a lot of residents in over a busy weekend.
Decent rooms. Unable to get in the restaurant. Breakfast expensive for what's on offer
The free car park
A general look of run down with a 1st floor room that was almost indecent. Very stained carpet, chink in bath and absolutely terrible mattress. The cleaners did a good job on a bad room. We were told one storey had been totally refurbished so I suggest the hotel offers us 3 free nights there!
Service, the staff were very polite, respectful amd excellent in thier duties especially the lady at reception whem we arrived and Irene during breakfast. Well done and keep it up.
Carpets in both our bed rooms were very dirty and I think they are rather ready for changing. I dont its the clear's faults but the caperts have seen better days. Thank you.
The cleanliness, the food, the staff. Off road parking
there was nowhere for smokers - no provision, that's why we wouldn't return because my husband smokes
There is a Church next to the Hotel and the Church bell keeps going off every few minutes, very difficult to have a goo sleep.reported to the reception but nothing much be done
they changed us to a better room which was very nice.
the first room was dispicable and grubby
The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent
Being woken by people leaving the night club at 3.30 am !!!
Sound isolation from outside - window- is really poor
Apart from above, reception staff were great - thank you all!
Helpful staff and good location.
The weather (not the hotel's fault)
Rooms dated . No air con. Noisy with window open
the rooms we stayed in were very good with comfy beds and included a bath and shower.
Breakfast was not included in the price and at £8 each we decided to eat out. The shower in one of our rooms was not working.
Great central location for the city centre. The rooms were clean & tidy & breakfast was very good.
We had a room to the front overlooking the church which was a lovely view but at 3am when the clubs were coming out the revellers all met under our window at a statue & kept us awake.
The staff were friendly and helpful. Very cheap - excellent value
It was very dated and not luxurious
Central location. Nice surroundings on the green by the church in front. Friendly staff.
The room was very dated and shabby. Tiny bathroom. Broken bath and cracked tiles. Generally a dated feel with the reception and restaurant very dark.
Great location for the shops. Friendly staff. Very clean
Food though good is a tad expensive.
Friendly staff, and location
Not enough parking especially when you try parking late at night, maybe time to upgrade corridor carpets.
staff really friendly & welcoming rooms very clean & comfortable
A member of staff handed out fans which was much needed as the window only opened a couple of inches and there was no ac (I expected there to be for the price)
A member of staff walked into our room unannounced. Then a cleaner came in at 11 the next morning. We had travelled from the north east, and when one of my friends spoke to a member of staff on reception, the staff member was very rude and abrupt saying that he couldn't understand him. The rooms were dirty and dusty. The bathrooms were dirty. There weren't enough toiletries. The night time receptionist was really rude. I think the room was too expensive for what we received.
Location. Cleanish room. Comfy bed. Free car park.
Staff really couldn't be bothered. Room a bit dusty on lights in bathroom. There was a wedding function on so we could not use the bar. Room was next to the fire exit so doors banging from 6am.
Noisy when the town closed its doors
Value for money Great central Location, very helpful staff, Have stayed before and will stay again.
I remember the hotel being built, The room decor could do with some updating to bring it into line with the 21st century, otherwise a great place to stay
Great food especially the breakfast staff were very efficient and helpful, room was clean
Room was extremely hot and made it uncomfortable to sleep
