Room expensive, filthy sheets, valance, curtains and chair in room(notified management immediately). Toilet dirty upon arrival. Shower very low pressure and cheap looking, was like showing in fog rather than under water.

The staff in the restaurant were very friendly. Very disappointing as stayed previously. Room cold, radiator not working to rectify it was turned on and thermostat removed! Light in bathroom not working and curtains off hooks. Breakfast - bacon, etc. not replenished and had to ask. The Manager extremely unhelpful - the weather forecast was snow and telephoned to ask that if the weather prevented us from getting there would we still be charged for the 2 rooms although I said we would come for another weekend. He told me he had a business to run and I would still have to pay. I found his attitude totally unacceptable as I was not postponing on a whim - it was snowing quite heavily.

The service from the waitress in the dining room in the evening. She has been working there for almost as long as we have been visiting, which is around 20 years. She is very personable and friendly and will go out of her way to help. We haven't visited for a few years and we felt that the hotel and leisure facilities were in need of a freshening up. The carpet in our room was very stained, the light switch didn't work nor did the fan in the bathroom and one of the bulbs in the bathroom wasn't working. The hotel was very quiet too so why we had a room with faults was a bit strange.

Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and good tv reception We were awoken at 01.00 by rowdy foul-mouthed visitors to a function using the venue in the corridor outside our room and disturbed again at 0708 by heavy golf club machinery. The hotel standard is mediocre and the bedrooms are in an annexe necessitating an outside walk to the restaurant. Clearly the hotel descri[ption and use is not as a leisure facility as portrayed in their advertisement ie outside functions

I'm afraid we were disappointed with our room as the bathroom in particular needed upgrading, the whole look of the place needs up- dating. We didn't feel it was worth what we paid as we travel alot and have had much better value for money. The reception staff didn't give out correct information when asked about the bars that were and were not open and sent us off to the 19th hole bar when they must have known it wouldn.t be open at that time. Little things that made up a not to rememerable stay!

It's location, very near but not in the town, and very convenient for Tewkesbury, and its historic attractions. Also near to x1471 sites and Gupshill Manor. The long, single-track drive with oblique speed ramps. Nasty for those with a bad back while not discouraging the "boy racers" from taking them at speed!

Clean and comfortable. A good position for exploring the Cotswolds and shopping in Cheltenham. We needed accomodation for a concert at Tewkesbury Cathedral and Brook Tewkesbury Park was very conveniently situated. We were given directions to the room which was a long way from reception and were offered no help with luggage.

Fine hotel set in a nice location. Hotel was fairly priced. Staff very pleasant and helpful and the facilities were very good. Overall look of the rooms, corridors and facilities is a bit dated and would benefit from some updating and proper cleaning.

nothing. I only booked this hotel because i wanted a pool. Only used it once but not for long. See below The pool area was filthy. Mould everywhere, tiles and lockers broken. Could do with a complete revamp. Was not happy. Rooms stuffy.

Restaurant staff very good. But poor spoken English and poor information meant that I was sitting around for 15 minutes before being advised the the meal would be automatically added to the room. This should not have been a difficult query. Room was not ready when I arrived. Not ready for 30 minutes after the advised check in time. Leisure facilities were 'tired'. Lockers broken and unusable.

More like a low budget airport hotel than a luxury spa hotel.Appeared that there was a high turnover of staff and the hotel was under new management return visitors confirmed that standards had dropped. Probably ok for golf weekend but definitely not for couples luxury break away. Left hotel early

The location is good with excellent views across rolling hills and convenient for motorway travel. The bedroom and bathroom were clean and comfortable with good storage space. I stayed at the hotel on a golf break about 6 years ago and was quite disappointed on this return visit. Most areas of the hotel apart from the bedroom are tired and in need of redecoration. While housekeeping in the bedroom was fine, the communal areas like corridors and windows needed attention and the tables in the golfers bar were left uncleared. We paid extra for breakfast and although there was plenty of variety in the food, there was almost no fresh fuit available and on the first morning the cooked breakfast was cold. Had there been a feedback form in the bedroom or had we been asked at checkout about our stay, we would have made these comments at that time. In all, it was a disappointing return visit.

The welcome we received by the reception staff on check-in was excellent. They were informative, attentive and willing to assist where required. The lighting in the restaurant should be improved. It felt as if we were sitting in a cafe rather than a restaurant. Perhaps a more subdued lighting arrangement to allow diners to feel more relaxed. Restaurant serving staff (for evening meal only) should improve their people skills and also their serving skills! We were made to feel as if it were a fast food 'place' and not a quality hotel restaurant.
