The view from our room was good and the location of the hotel was perfect for the centre, we also enjoyed the use of the indoor swimming pool. After paying for an upgrade lake view room, the toilet seat was falling off in the bathroom! |

the hotel overlooks lake windermere which has stunning views.ease of access to bowness,and friendly staff.arrived early we were allowed to book in as the room was ready. |

I have stayed at the Belsfield twice now and love staying there walking distance to the bars,shops and ferrys. Great for afternoon teas and just sitting in their grounds looking at the lake. |

The view over Lake Widermere is spectacular! The Belsfield is an example of classic elegance. We loved the hotel but it does need some updating, hopefully without any loss of character though. |

Beautiful grounds and view. Vintage hotel with ambiance of days gone by. Restaurant - breakfast over priced and not appealing. We choose not to eat breakfast there. No free wireless internet. Front desk staff poorly informed. |

i enjoyed swimming in the pool before my evening meal.also enjoyed relaxing in the bar.and the view of the lake is out of this world.if i get the chance will stay again. |

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. the views are really something.Even tho there was a wedding on when we arrived the staff were very helpfull. will be staying at this hotel again and would recommend this hotel to friends and family. |

We had admired the hotel from the Lake side on previous visits to the area and we were not disappointed. Our room had a great view of the Lake, was very spacious, clean and well equipped. Hotel is filled with period features and bearing in mind the age and history of the building was everything that could be expected. Staff were very pleasant and willing to help make our stay very enjoyable. |

the hotel is charming with a beautiful location and wonderful views that make up for some of the draftiness in the common rooms that is probably unavoidable in an old building like this one the rooms are exceedingly small and the staff does not speak English well. We also lost a computer power cord in the room and the staff was not very helpful in our attempts to locate it. |

The view from the bedroom window over the lake was lovely..well it would have been but we couldn't see it because of all the condensation running down the window. This hotel is very tired indeed,the whole hotel as a damp smell combined with the heat from the central heating,the pool was cold,univiting and a corrigated plastic roof to it,after much searching we found the Sauna which was even less tempting than the pool.We binned the idea of a dip and sauna and went for as drink at the bar.Can't really fault the service as we were the only ones in there. |

The hotel staff were really friendly, well manered and nothing seemed to be any trouble to them. When in the restaurant the staff were on the ball and we were not left unattended. My only complaint would have to be the bed linnen / blankets. I think the cost of a duvet would be a small price for the hotel to pay to bring them into the twenty first century. That having been said it will not stop me from returning. |
