The Chace HotelLondon Road, Toll Bar End, CV3 4EQ Coventry (Show map) Good, Score from 61 reviews“Friendly staff - value for money - comfortable atmosphere - would stay there again! In fact our son stayed there and also commented how good the hotel was.”
Michael,
Bury
In beautiful, landscaped gardens, this Victorian hotel is rich in original character, with a peaceful location, just 3 miles from the center of the city and one mile from Coventry Airport. Only 3 miles from Coventry Railway Station and the very heart of the city, the Chace Hotel is just 5 miles from the Ricoh Arena, home to Coventry City FC soccer team. The good location means the hotel offers easy access to highways M6, M40, M1, M69, A45 and A46. Free on-site parking is available. Birmingham International Airport is 15 miles away and the Chace Hotel is also conveniently situated for the NEC convention center and NIA events center. The hotel is a great base from which to visit the Royal Show at Stoneleigh Park, Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon. Originally built in 1897, the hotel has a spacious oak-paneled lounge bar and a restaurant, with many original features and views of the gardens. Hotel Rooms: 66, Hotel Chain: Corus Hotels.

I did think about this from the car park to the whole experiance, sorry nothing. Omg what a dump. The old part of the hotel is very old and needs a good revamp, the new part built in the seventies should have been pulled down in the eighties. My garden shed smells better and the room was cold, I had to get the radiator turned on can't this be done by the staff before I get in. All the furniture was old and dirty. The main toilets smelt like an open sewer, get an air freshener.

The outside appearance and location of the hotel was very good. The grand staircase and foyer were quite impressive! There was no Room Service available even though we requested it. Our room was very basic and we were only allocated one pillow each. The a la carte restaurant was not available and so we had to venture out into the cold to find food although feeling very tired. The annexe was a tasteless addition that detracted from the beauty of the main hotel. The cooked breakfast was minimal and the waitng staff offered poor service, taking away food from our table before we had finished eating and at one point, the waitress dumped dirty dishes down onto our table!

Acceptable for the price. Was described as rooms being recently refurbished, however unless they have gone for 80s/90s chic look I would suggest that perhaps the word 'recent' was slightly misused on this occasion. The main building was good enough but let down by the prefab type attachment that housed many of the rooms. Food not tried. Ok for the price paid of £45 but would not want to spend more. Would recommend as geneally clean.

Easy to find Very limited restaurant menu, poor service in restaurant, bedrooms too hot with no temperature control, noisy corridors during the early hours right through the night, breakfast less than mediocre, I was glad to cancel the 2nd night and find somewhere else.
