The bar area and main building was v nice. We ate in the restauarnt once and the food was very good. The room was quite dated, cracked sink in bathroom and the toilet was very difficult to flush. Despite the heating being off and opening the window fully, the room was unbearably hot. |

Grand entrance to the reception area. Staff were well presented, mannerly, made you feel at home with a bit of chat, courteous and just generally great to deal with. Rooms were a bit small but well laid out with a good facilities and the bed was comfortable and linen crisp and clean. I liked the touch of a small biscuit with the tea and coffee facilities which seems to have been withdrawn from most hotels these days. I liked this hotel very much and will definitely return. Would be nice to have Freeview in the room (for all it costs) and I feel as a business traveler who doesn't have much time to watch TV at night, that it is expensive to watch a film if I had the time to. I can buy a film in Asda for £3 to £4 instead of £13 for a days film channel with the hotel. |

The entrance hall (foyer) was quite impressive and very comfortable. Room was clean, bright and comfortable. Excellent value for money. I had my elderly parents with me. Luckily they are in good health and have good mobility, otherwise getting to our first floor room would have been difficult as there was no lift. There were also no Sunday newspapers. |

Good location. Friendly welcome - even with a 2.30am check-in. Complimentary newspaper. Although the room was spotlessly clean, the bedroom carpet was ready for an upgrade |

The grounds are an oasis in metropolis but the main entrance is really worth seeing - an air of a London club with some impressive architecture and a beautiful staircase - Carved wooden architecture prevails this is a very special period Red Brick design. The accommodation is very practical and comfortable and the establishment is very professionally run. |

the breakfast was very nice but a bit expensive. the exterior of the hotel had a nice country feel to it and the garden was relaxing and pleasant to look at. our room (60) was very hot even though the weather was not. the heating was not on and we had to sleep with the window open all night. |

The Reception Staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedroom was clean and acceptable for the price we paid. Having read the reviews I took my own fan which did help as the room was quite warm at night. Overall I think the hotel is feeling a little faded and in need of some tlc - but I emphasise that for the price paid I feel it was adequate for our short stay and it would be lovely to see the hotel refurbished to its former glory (I do appreciate the economic climate at the moment though). |

I thought that the room I stayed in was ready for an upgrade. I'm please I did not pay the full tarrif price. I would recommend at the price paid if staying for weekend etc in Coventry, but would not recommend to business colleagues. |

For the price we paid, it was a bargain. Full price in the hotel was £100 per room - which I would never pay. The reception areas were very nice but the rooms were a bit tatty and in need of an upgrade. |

Staff were helpful and didn't mind that we checked in very late. The lounge was comfortable and newspapers were provided for the morning. I couldn't find a control for the heating. It would have been nice to have been able to turn it down a bit as I found it a bit too hot for my personal liking. |
