I like the services
The door handle is outdated and should be changed.I could not remember the last time I used an actual key to open the in an Hotel.
Staff where great and hotel was too, great place to stay if you want a base to travel around the area, good park nearby for a good walk to. Food excellent too.
The pool needs some work doing to it very poor
The food was lovely. Plenty of staff. Main hotel looks lovely. nice and clean. Friendly staff.
No heating in the room Wifi signal very poor through out hotel. Bedrooms a little tired.
postcode did not work with tomtom sat nav
Affordable, comfy room with good wifi connection. Friendly helpful staff and only a short taxi ride from the city centre
Room was a bit damp but only slightly
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent.
Bedrooms looking a bit scruffy, bed not very comfortable, better ventilation and some air con would be a plus
ambience, staff very attentive.the grounds food very nice
nothing that i didnt like
The staff and hospitality were friendly. I only eat in the restaurant for breakfast and was very pleasant.
The rooms and decor were dated.
Exellent hotel with a limitless hospitable, funny and friendly staff. Nice room with good bed (bridal suite)
Old, dilapidated furnishings (from the 70's) only 3 plug sockets, one for the TV, one for the fan (hot part of July), we had the usual electronics, phones etc. Bathroom dated, mold, basic shower. Carpets were dirty, gritty & bubbly in parts, mold around the windows
Dirty rooms, had to be cleaned twice. Very dated furniture and flat beds... lots of mold in the bathroom and around the windows. Only 3 plug sockets. Carpet grimy & bubbling, dust everywhere.....
Dated decor Shower Noisy corridor swing doors
Rooms where clean and comfy, location was good for our stay-warwick castle. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and had good knowledge of local attractions.
Stayed in room 53, was woken both mornings(5.10am) by the sound of banging water pipes, I complained and was told that it was what happens as boiler is on that side of building!! Numerous others had also complained, but nothing had be done about it. Tad annoying as I was on mini break and didn't enjoy being woken up at that time in the morning!! Also, we were in the 1970s built annenex, which isn't shown on the pictures, so you think when you book room that you're staying in the lovely old part if the hotel.
Lovely garden, quiet and leafy surroundings. Good restaurant and service staff.
we should say what didn't we like which would be nothing, the hotel exterior is breathtaking surrounding and staff are wonderful the rooms are just what you need beds comfortable and as for Lisa in the restaurant her politeness was just what you needed early on a sunday morning
Good friendly staff, rooms clean and tidy.
Drive could do with a bit of tarmac in parts to replace worn sections, however, not really a big issue just offering a bit of improvement advice.
The under-staffed employees were faultless, they all went the extra mile to try and correct the hotels deficiencies, very nice people.
The hotel appears to be devoid of any management, the delay for food seems to be a regular feature, even with just 4 tables being tended to. The quality of the food was poor on this visit, the soup was tasteless and swamped in soggy lumps of greasy croutons. I may have been unlucky as I was told that one of the 2 chefs was out sick. Restaurant ran out of vegetables - unacceptable. Not sure if this is the same with all the rooms, but my room (which I paid to be upgraded to) had no iron and no hairdryer, and that was an executive suite. You get the feeling the hotel lacks investment, there's very little attention to detail. Very disappointing.
Helpful staff but not intrusive
Staff are very helpful and friendly, and personally the location was ideal for me
The pot-holed car park, the 40 minute wait for food, the bed mattress was low quality and very soft to lay on, you can feel the hard base of the bed, No iron in the room, iron leant to me was a travel iron that takes 10 minutes to do a shirt with (badly). Very prefabricated feel to the extension block which is bizarrely at odds with the rest of the building. Décor looks tired.
Lovely staff. Comfortable beds. Lovely building. Great value for money.
Poor tea and coffee facilities, but staff responded immediately to requests.
To whom it may concern: Do not book your trip to The Chace Hotel! You might experience the same dissapointment as we did. The hotel unjustifiedly charged us with £100 after our departure for smoking in the room and late departure. Fact is, that as we are all non-smokers and left the hotel at 8 am, the hotel only wants to increase its profit by fooling its guests. So please, don't make any reservation in The Chance Hotel.
Rooms were above average. We only used hotel as a base, as we were involved with family locally, so we cannot comment on food or bar.
WIFI ? disappointed on the 24 hour restriction considering price of rooms. However, we would use the Chace Hotel again.
Poor service, the bar staff were always elsewhere. Restaurant was closed on the Friday night for gods sake !
good value, basic accommodation clean rooms continental breakfast -very basic but good, tasty full English breakfast
We would have liked to use the bar facilities but as the hotel was very quiet during our stay, it had closed by 9pm. We didn't ask them to open especially for us so bought elsewhere and took to the room
