Score from 395 reviews Very good
Ettington Chase is set in 11 acres of landscaped grounds, only 6 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s birthplace. It has a swimming pool, sauna, air-conditioned gym.
Score from 191 reviews Good
Sitting in 65 acres of beautiful English countryside, just 10 minutes from the M40, lies the Walton Hotel. Historical Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon are both just 20 minutes away.
Score from 169 reviews Very good
This small but perfectly formed boutique hotel dates from 1600. It has an award-winning cocktail lounge and stylish, individual bedrooms with free Wi-Fi. Several restaurants are within a 3-minute...
Score from 86 reviews Fabulous
Proximity to Stratford. Historic buildings on the doorstep
Decor was a bit tired
Clean, good sized room. Good shower. Great service at breakfast
Room too warm
location, ample parking
Breakfast from 8am on a week day
breakfast noisy room shower in the bath, it advertises walk-in shower. Small TV Lack of room ventilation Room too hot
I had just booked a double room but when we checked in we were upgraded at no extra cost. This was lovely as it was our 2 year anniversary, but the hotel wasn't aware of this. The room was lovely, four poster bed with a twin bath in the bathroom and huge shower! Clean hotel breakfast was ok, and lovely setting.
Comfortable, quiet rooms Clean, nicely fitted bathrooms
They don't do a full food service after 6 pm?? Had to order a sandwich from the bar Wi-fi rather weak
The breakfast menu was very limited. Prunes and porridge is great for the over 65 however a range of breakfast options would have been better. No lift access to our room for all our overseas luggage was a pain. The distance to facilities was understated in your web site
good room modern well set out plenty of space
noisy radiator gurgled all night Restaurant was terrible food was poor everybody crammed together a Shearings coach was there which might explain overcrowding and poor service and cold food
The first greeting on arrival was to pay the bill in full. last orders for evening meal 7.45pm and no breakfast before 8.00am which is no use to anyone who is on a business trip
Peaceful location, yet not far from countless attractions.
doors slamming early mornings.(annoying)
Evening meal was unavailable as I arrived after 19.45, far too early for business travellers. Sandwiches available though, not really what I wanted after a long day Breakfast not available until 08.00, again no use to business travellers
We were visiting Charlecote Park on the Sunday, the exit from the hotel car park was only a few yards from the entry to the car park at Charlecote. Quiet, clean and friendly
The hotel was fully occupied on the Saturday night and there was an insufficient number of staff to service the volume of people requiring breakfast on the Sunday. We were in the restaurant for an hour. The price was on the high side (the previous night we had stayed at Chateau Impney at less than half the rate).
Beautiful location. The room we were given was in the executive wing and was quite buig by UK standards. Had a lovely water feature just outside the room. Great food at the restaurant on the property.
Nothing at all!
nice countryside area good value food large room, comfortable bed free parking nice restaurant and bar
bar meals stop at 6pm breakfast doesn't start early enough reception not open to check out at 7pm TV could be bigger
Large room ( premium deluxe ) with separate tv lounge. TV also in the bedroom. Large bathroom. Rooms located in attractive dispersed buildings instead of a charcterless one.
No complementary bottle of water or biscuits, a little thing but this is rare in hotels.
Being asked for a charge card as soon as I sat down for our prebooked evening meal. It is a first for me having to pay for a meal before eating! We immediately left and travelled to The Bell at Alderminster where we enjoyed excellent food, drinks and service. At the conclusion I asked for the bill and then settled it as is always the way. Why can you not adopt this normal practice?
The hotel was in a ideal location to see Warwick , Stratford and the Cotswolds. Made to feel very welcome by excellent and friendly staff.
The staff were very friendly, food was good accommodation comfortable
There were quite a lot of elderly people, I get on well with them but we felt as if we had to be quite so that we didn't disturb them.
Very spacious For a standard room
Bed was a bit hard Restaurant was limited for choice.
Room was really good very spacious. Staff were helpful and friendly
The breakfast was not so great. Didn't look very appetising and definitely wasn't value for money.
Breakfast no earlier than 8am Average age of visitors >65 years
Poor selection of cold breakfast foods. evening meals not interesting and expensive in comparison with other local restaurants.
Quiet rural location within easy driving distance of Stratford-upon-Avon centre. Friendliness and flexibility of reception and restaurant staff and their ability to cope with guests of all ages, some with various medical problems. A la carte food was very good with varied and good quality wines and other drinks. Very comfortable room with all usual facilities, 4 poster bed and enormous bathroom with 2 baths and a shower.
The location was great for Charlecote Park and Stratford. We would recommend upgrading to a room with a four poster bed and a massive bathroom. The breakfast waitress was great, she seemed to know hat my wife would like for breakfast without even asking her !
The staff were really helpful although the duty manager was not aware of the the time that food was available in the bar.
