The location was perfect for Charlecote Park, The price on booking.com was good the room was spacious, clean and warm. The hotel is geared up for the older visitor, food, service speed and entertainment are all aimed at the older visitor.

The breakfast which was included in the price was very poor. My wife ordered poached eggs which were like lumps of rubber. I ordered scrambled egg which was either made from powdered egg or was mis-cooked in some way - again, it looked and tasted like lumps of rubber. We skipped breakfast the second day.

We had our evening meal in the brasserie , the lower restaurant. There was only one ceiling light in the rear portion and the restaurant was so dim it was difficult to see the menu, and importantly the bill! What it needs is wall lights or other free-standing lighting, as the overall effect was dull and gloomy. Apart from that everything was O.K.

The room was warm, clean and adequate. There was a good bath/shower with lots of hot water. The bedrooms are in a modern annex in the car park. The breakfast selection was poor and when my cooked breakfast arrived it consisted of one small rasher of bacon, half a tomato and a very small fried egg, served on a tiny plate. Breakfast did not start until 8.00 which made me late for work.

The hotel and grounds were very nice. We arrived at the hotel, they could'nt find our booking, we went off for 4hours, upon our return they still had'nt found it. We waited 3/4 hour, they located it! hopeless!.Breakfast was a disaster. We were told the waitress would serve us, but she was too busy, she told us it would be quicker to serve ourselves, we did, then we were told to sit down. Basil Faulty would have done a better job!

Countryside location convenient for motorway and food was good, room was spacious. The bar prices were rather excessive e.g. £7.15 for a glass of red wine and a J2O !!!!! The outdoor swimming pool which was covered over looked more like a "tip". Pity there is no indoor pool and sauna etc.

Excellent bedroom. Good food, although nothing spectacular. We were a bit disapointed with the bar - it was not very welcoming and had no atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpfull. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Bar area not very welcoming with no atmosphere. (probably just us - we had stayed at a hotel the night before with a very busy pub attached, which we thoroughly enjoyed).

We found The Charlecote Pheasant to be a good tourist standard hotel with adequate facilities. Rooms were clean and well serviced. Food was good quality plain food although there was limited choice.Staff were polite and helpful. Location was not really what we expected as we planned a holiday in The Cotswolds. Charlecote as a village didn't have much to offer except the hotel.

Room very dark, sloping ceiling by the bedside result banged head on getting up. Total disorganization at breakfast, having to wait in a holding area because restaurant full. Nobody even took our names on a waiting list to see who had been waiting longest in room with a dozen or more people, result we didn't bother eating. We paid for two nights and left after one as we couldn't stand the thought of another night there. My husband and I have a weekend away every month and have never left early before. I would rather sleep in our car than spend another night there!

The room decore was good, and we had a nice view onto the gardens. The staff seemed a bit abrupt and the restaurant staff were hassled and not very professional, they were however, friendly. When we were choosing the hotel the photos showed a pretty countryside hotel set in pleasant gardens, when we arrived we were told we were in the building across the car park which was just like any motorway-side hotel and had I known this I would not have booked the hotel. The restaurant was decorated well however the food was very poor and obviously mass produced and kept warm, the chicken was dry and the cottage pie was more like soup it was so sloppy and it was very pricey considering the quality. Our room was on the ground floor and as there was no catch on the windows stopping them from opening fully we couldn't open them at night.

Last minute availability. Good value. Nice buildings and decor. Room very nice. Peace and tranquility. Decor all round. Good breakfast. Staff very pleasant and strived to be helpful. Location in relation to National Trust venues, Stratford and Warwick as well as garden centres. Some lack lustre maintenance in the grounds such a swimming pool clearly out of use. No TV signal in room. Hot water failed through pilot light being blown out.Bar staff (Spanish) out of their depth, though pleasant enough, did not understand British bar etiquette and just served those who they were nearest instead of those waiting longest. Would definately revisit and recommend hotel however.
