nice countryside area good value food large room, comfortable bed free parking nice restaurant and bar
bar meals stop at 6pm breakfast doesn't start early enough reception not open to check out at 7pm TV could be bigger
Large room ( premium deluxe ) with separate tv lounge. TV also in the bedroom. Large bathroom. Rooms located in attractive dispersed buildings instead of a charcterless one.
No complementary bottle of water or biscuits, a little thing but this is rare in hotels.
The hotel was in a ideal location to see Warwick , Stratford and the Cotswolds. Made to feel very welcome by excellent and friendly staff.
The staff were very friendly, food was good accommodation comfortable
There were quite a lot of elderly people, I get on well with them but we felt as if we had to be quite so that we didn't disturb them.
Very spacious For a standard room
Bed was a bit hard Restaurant was limited for choice.
Room was really good very spacious. Staff were helpful and friendly
The breakfast was not so great. Didn't look very appetising and definitely wasn't value for money.
Breakfast no earlier than 8am Average age of visitors >65 years
Poor selection of cold breakfast foods. evening meals not interesting and expensive in comparison with other local restaurants.
Quiet rural location within easy driving distance of Stratford-upon-Avon centre. Friendliness and flexibility of reception and restaurant staff and their ability to cope with guests of all ages, some with various medical problems. A la carte food was very good with varied and good quality wines and other drinks. Very comfortable room with all usual facilities, 4 poster bed and enormous bathroom with 2 baths and a shower.
The location was great for Charlecote Park and Stratford. We would recommend upgrading to a room with a four poster bed and a massive bathroom. The breakfast waitress was great, she seemed to know hat my wife would like for breakfast without even asking her !
The staff were really helpful although the duty manager was not aware of the the time that food was available in the bar.
Lovely large room, very comfy bed and great bathroom
Evening meal was expensive
Location Bar staff Breakfast waitress
Food cold both dinner and breakfast Inclusive dinner menu poor Especially for vegetarians
Myself and wife stayed at the charlecote pheasant 15th August 2014, although we were the youngest couple there the whole experience from start to finish was excellent. We have stayed in much more expensive hotels and got alot worse service. Staff are freindly and location was stunningly beautiful. Will be staying there again soon.
nothing i can think of
The clientele were quite a bit older than us, which was good as there was no noise during the night. The staff were helpful despite brining very busy.
Nice country hotel. Good food & service Good speed free wifi Good size room with nice furniture Good bathroom and toiletries
Breakfast doesn't start until 8am No pen in room Reception computer not up until 8am
Room very good, bathroom also good, quite spacious with bath and shower.wifi very good.Friendly, helpful staff.Breakfasts good on the whole.
Evening meals a bit hit n miss.My partners thai curry was very good, but my fish dish rather bland.Although we are classed as a mature couple, when looking round the hotel we felt quite young. For this reason i probably would not recommend to friends.
Room was good. Very spacious
The restaurant food was poor and overpriced. Poor selection for a la Carte.
Allowed us to check in 3 hours early at no extra charge as we were due at a wedding nearby. Free wifi and friendly staff. Full English Breakfast and Veggie Breakfast were both excellent. Excellent value for money, very clean.
We loved our room and the grounds. Very nice decor. Premium room was fantastic.
Would have been nice to have biscuits with out tea tray in the room. 10.5 tog duvet on the hottest day not good. The cold water tap was tepid water.
Location & the room was comfortable and clean.
Paying on arrival we found to be unusual and was surprised to be asked when ordering our dinner "who is paying for this and how?" When I questioned this, I was told that it was because a sister hotel had experienced theft of meals by staff. This was embarrassing as we had another couple travelling with us who were from the USA. The breakfast was luke warm and we felt the standard of service was poor at both meals.
The room was very spacious and very well equipped
Wi fi reception was almost non existent
Good location Quiet room
Other travellers should be aware that this hotel is a Shearings Coach trip hotel. The food was basic, the service was not good and our evening meal was spoilt by a quiz, for the benefit of the coach tour, conducted by a compere with a microphone in the restaurant and the adjoining sitting area. The hotel is obviously designed as a package deal and the evening meal was extortionate for very basic and not very nice food. For example, we were charged £2 for a very small glass of luke warm tap water. For disabled travellers, the two rooms with disabled facilities were not available when we stayed but we were assured that the room was wheelchair accessible. Technically this was true in that the wheelchair did fit through the door to the room but it did not fit through the door into the bathroom. Restaurants are not always well set up for wheelchairs but we had a lot less help to find an appropriate table for our evening meal than we would have expected. This was because the person seating the tables was busy getting ready to compere the quiz ! We would not stay there again and would not recommend it to other people. This is a lovely area of the country with lots of things to see and do, so we will be returning to the area but NOT to this hotel.
Location excellent, quick and helpful service, rooms were of an acceptable standard.
Room only package seemed rather expensive without breakfast
I was expecting it to be a little closer to the centre, as I did take a while to find.
