This Tudor-style building is in quiet gardens, 500 metres from junction 17 of the M6 motorway. It has free parking, a stylish restaurant, a bar and free Wi-Fi in the public areas. Chimney House Hotel was once home to the vicar of the local church. It now mixes original character with modern comforts. The brasserie-style Patio Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. Chimney House Hotel also has a modern bar offering light bar meals and snacks. Many of the en suite rooms have views of the hotel's gardens and the Cheshire countryside. All rooms have TVs, radios, tea/coffee and ironing facilities. There are regular buses to Congleton, Sandbach and Crewe. Convenient for travelling on the M6. More comfortable than the usual motorway stop-overs. Good variety at breakfast. Not having a walk-in shower but appreciate that families would prefer shower over bath.

Large well apoointed bedroom. Friendly efficient check in, nice amenities in bedroom. Overall facilities were very good. Breakfast service not great. Greasy flasks for coffee/tea. Undercooked bacon. Staff standing around chatting. Bottle neck around buffet with people trying to sort out toast and tea/coffee (Can this not be served seperately?). Poor choice of wines at dinner.

friendly staff, good service, good price shower needed attention, no pressure, not enough to wash hair. Lady on desk didnt seem surprised when I mentioned it.

On site car park good location Second time my booking has not reached them from booking.com. Resulting in very slow check in. pdq machine did not take my payment due to poor signal, so now have to fuss with telephone payment and waiitng for VAT receipt in the post

The room was absolutely gorgeous. It was a good size room and was very clean. It had everything you needed. The staff were very nice to. And very accommodating. The food was devious. And I got the room on a deal so it was definitely value for money. I will definitely recommend to friends and family to stay there. Thee only thing I would complain about was the shower wasn't very good, not very powerful. But that was the only thing.

Price from booking.com Booked twin room but when we turned up only double available. Told no other rooms in hotel available. After some time Tim decided to give us sometime elses twin room who hadn't arrived yet. Only one set of towels in room and room had stains on walls from water damage,I think.

Megan was brilliant, she sorted out everything and I'd highly recommend staying here. The food was excellent and a big thanks to the chef.

Food was good and plentiful. Staff very helpful. The key card allotted to my room did not work the entire time I was there (two nights). Had to ask the staff to be let in with either the key or master card. One evening I had to wait well over an hour before I could return to my room.

Nice hotel we have been there before as our son and family live close by. The Waiter Kym was very friendly and very good. Had to send my chicken curry back as the chicken wasn't cooked it was a good job I noticed and didn't just eat it. We where celebrating our 28th anniversary and I could have got food poisioning, which would have spoiled our weekend. The other thing that spoiled it in the restraurant we could hear the chef shouting at the other staff. Having worked in the industry I found thet unexceptable.

Nice location and lovely grounds, friendly staff, large comfortable room Changed rooms twice in 5 days, shower in first two was completely useless,as was hot water, with more care and attention this could be a first class hotel

The hotel was friendly and the bed was outstanding. I struggled to get up in the morning it was so comfy My only drama with the hotel was te shower. When it worked it was as powerful as an asmatic ant. On the day I left the shower didn't work full stop. A shame as it left a bit of a bitter taste and me smelling for the rest if the day
