The hotel staff were very courteous and nothing was too much trouble. Still puzzled as to how this hotel has been accredited with 4 star status. It is very average although modern inside. The bathroom in our room was like something I have never seen with the design. You had to stand in the bath to turn taps on or shower. You basically needed a leg up cause bath was that high. The sink was right in front of the mirror so you couldn't get near it.The room was dark and miserable.Breakfast was very average and would say the sausage was frozen and not fresh. The cost of this hotel for a night is extremely expensive for what you get.The only credit to the hotel is the staff who were very professional and friendly.Only stay at this hotel when I have to due to the location and there is not anything else nearby otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Mianly the loaction, it was ideal for visit to the Robin Hood Airport to attend the Vulcan to the Sky members Day. The food was excellent, unfortunately neither my wife or I could do it justice and had to leave some of the main course. We would definately us ethe Crown again!

The food and service was really good, although I do think that the hotel is a quite overpriced for the area. I feel it is a grand hotel but in a small town. Absolute maximum price should be £70/£80 per night, including breakfast. Was very pleased to know of it's connection to the Vulcan Bomber.

The location of the hotel in the centre of Bawtry is absolutely fantastic. Bawtry is a beautiful village / town with many bars, wine bars and eateries of all descriptions.

I upgraded to a superior double room I'm sure it was a double we was in. There was only one towel for two people, there was no nibble basket. We ordered a paper for morning it wasn't there, we informed reception they said if was probably pinched. We stayed here last year and it was brilliant would not come back

We chose the Crown as it was convenient for Doncaster races and in the pleasant town of Bawtry. It was everything we hoped for; friendly, efficient, good value for money etc. The staff make or break any organisation and the employees at the Crown were all very good. We didn't dine there in the evening but if the breakfast is anything to go by I am certain the dinner would be excellent. Thanks Alan and Onita. 116 10/12/11

Our room was spotlessly clean, larger than an average hotel room and beautifully presented. We were at the hotel for our son (and now daughter in law's!) wedding reception and the staff, food and service were all fantastic. It was great to be able to stay at the venue with family and friends and share breakfast together the next morning. We would certainly stay again and would happily recommend The Crown to friends.

Excellent location, friendly well presented staff, warm clean modern comfortable surroundings, excellent menu and excellent value for money.Booked a double ensuite, first impressions were warm modern comfortable.very nice, information, menu, local ammenities available very good.My wife suffers with painful joints however the luxury king sized bed cured here pain thus deciding she needed to purchase one in the very near future. This was our first stay at the Crown and would highly recommend afurther visit in the future ,once the attention to detail was addressed. Attention to detail stain on carpet, some grouting and sealant need cleaned or replaced didnt look nice.Cistern top loose and edging round units were broken off . This in my opinion reduced the overall value of the room.

Good location in the town. Restaurant food is usually good. Staff pleasant and helpful. Limited car parking and difficult egress. Badly designed bathrooms with difficulty accessing taps around shower screen.

Staff very friendly, as a loan woman on business I found it extremely comfortable. I loved the fact that you do not have to cook your own toast in the morning like you do at most hotels nowadays, which i find dissatisfying, please do not change this. I will always stay at the crown when i am in the area, and will recommend to my colleagues.

We stayed at hotel for 1 night before flying off to our honeymoon , was exellent location as close to airport and a lovely up market village , food was exellent , rooms very nice , however the noise from the hotel bar was unbelievable , ok it was a saturday night but when you pay £140 a night you expect to be able to relax unfortunatly this was not the case as the noise went on till 3 am and we where not refreshed for our flights , I did inform the reception on checkout and to be fair they did appoligise but it did spoil the start of our honymoon , if we stayed there again we would have to be assured that we where in a quiet part of the hotel .

There was no hot water in my room, and I was mistakenly not advised of that fact in advance. The hotel reduced my bill, and acted appropriately, and thereby showed proper customer care.

The reception area was a bit dated so I was expecting the rooms to be the same however the rooms and bathrooms were fabulous. Breakfast was traditional and super - the waitress was exceptional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
