Noisy workmen 8-15am. Had to clean the bath before I could get in it
Room were too hot, windows had to be open. For the quality of the hotel there should have been better toiletries. Room would benefit from haveing a fridge.
It was an excellent night and the staff were very helpful
Location was great, lovely hotel close to good shops and bars
Air conditioning in the room was poor. It was so hot and it wouldn't cool down no matter what we tried
Beautifully decorated room Bar open 24 hrs
Location was good. Room was clean and adequate for our needs.
The bedroom was absolutely stifling, we stayed on 1 November and had to have all windows open all night. We tried everything to cool the room down without success. Sleep was difficult during the night because of it.
Size and quality of room Restaurant food is very good but pricey
Heat in bathroom
Poor connectivity to the internet
Fantastic breakfast. Super helpful staff comfy beds
Room and in room facilities were good
Worst mattress I have slept on for a long time. So uncomfortable that I eventually slept on the sofa. In sufficient TV channels.
comfortable bed, relaxing decor
loaction of the hotel was perfect, the buzz about the hotel and Bawtry was great, recommended for either a romantic stay or event/function. Will definitely return.
Location is great, and the breakfast/food is excellent.
No dislikes, would benefit from offers as £105 for one night is quite expensive. But, location, service and good are top quality so can't dislike.
- Dirty Room (Dust, Hear in badtube), - Only 10 Channels in TV, - Noisy at night (hotel organising some events during week, drunk people are walking on corridor at night and knocking to door), - Small Carpark, - Small and uncomfortable bathroom,
Hotel Central for shops, restuarants, and bars. Rooms value for money. Complimentary nibbles basket and water in the executive room.
Executive rooms bed rested on a large wooden surround Which I found to be awkward when getting in and out of bed.
Limited car park place. Was told I would be ok finding a space. Should have been told where to park if none was available as I had to get a member of staff to remove a pole to go through front of the building to park elsewhere.
Perfect location well appointed modern room
Parking is restricted
friendly staff excellent service Food excellent
Bathroom, problem turning on the shower due to the positioning of the shower screen In this age of duvets etc.we were disappointed to find blankets.
I couldn't open the windows and there's no aircon, even though clearly the facilities are installed.
Accommodation very comfortable Efficient check in. Good Bar facilities. Handy secure carpark
Breakfast service was poor. Waited 15 minutes for an order and was then informed they had run out of muffins. Considered the hotel overpriced for the general standard.
comfortable room noisy guests next room but soon quietened down when they returned in the early hours of the morning. Nice large room good amenities.
The glass door into bathroom. The limited space in the bathroom
The location is right in the middle of the town, making it very easy to enjoy the night life and eating facilities. Good atmosphere and very friendly people.
The only thing that was a slight problem was the parking. The hotel car park was full due to a wedding taking place there, but we were offered alternative parking over the road.
The crown is a lovely hotel set in the beautiful market town of bawtry
I know it may seem like I'm nit picking but when you pay over £100 for a room, I think it's justified. The bathroom, though it was large, was grubby around the bath sill, it was evident that some tiles had fallen off and it was a bodged attempt of sticking them back on with silicone sealer of all things! The tea making facilities couldn't be plugged in to their supposed area due to the fact the cupboard/desk was butted right up to the wall and couldn't be moved, so the kettle had to moved and used on the carpet next to the bed, which is unsafe in my opinion. Also the windows couldn't be opened in either the room or the bathroom which is surely against Health and Safety regulations. The room was ridiculously warm and the only thing to cool it down was a little desk fan which just circulated warm air. I'm very disappointed in my stay if I'm completely honest. I've stayed here several times before, once being my wedding day/night and this has got to be my worst stay to date.
Rooms too hot view from room was a wall with building rubble near it
location was central to pubs and restaurants
Rooms were stifling hot, no air flow in room other than a small fan Very noisy at night due to revellers in street below
