The Hillcrest Hotel  

An exceptional room, very very comfy. A brilliant base for the weekend.

It was the location for my neice's wedding. Overall very good value for money, however our room was 'a little tired'.

Decor needs refreshing.

The hotel restaurant, bar and room were clean good size and well furnished. The bathroom adequate and water hot, clean towels supplied daily. Room tidied and cleaned daily. Our stay included a free breakfast of which there was a plentiful choice and good quality. there is a large car park around the hotel grounds. We enjoyed and would use again especially with breakfast included.

There was only one chair in the double room.

The hotel was ideally located - close to Widnes and the wedding reception I was attending. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant and bar were really nice.

The single room was comfortable and clean. The decor was a little tired. Booking.com describes the single as below - having a double bed and balcony...?? Staff very friendly and helpful - particularly the receptionist. Room very clean. good parking facilities.

Good food. Food service till late. Friendly staff. Decor is not too bland.

there was no propper quilt it was just blankets but it was fine

The rooms were clean and the price was satisfactory. It was quiet and had wi-fi connection in the rooms.

The first room we were shown was exceedingly hot. The thermostat did not work and no one was available to fix it. The second room was better and the thermostat worked. The water pressure was abysmal. The shower dribbled and we had to flush the toilet by filling up the metal waste paper basket from the bath. The whole hotel needs a makeover.

Cold Rooms, outdated decor, shower didnt work properly, kettle was old, bin was filthy, bed was hard. not a pleasant stay. Lucky i got drunk or i would never have got to sleep on that hard bed!

The hotel was very clean and tidy through out the staff where very helpfull and polite from the reception to the bar staff even to the cleaners in the morning. The work we are doing is going to go on over a number of months and we will be using the hotel at every visit.

The hotel is a bit tired and cold (poor heating)
