Staff were nice and friendly. Noght porter very pleasant and helpful
Room a bit small and needed updating. Ordered a burger at the bar and it came with a big dollop of red sauce on it. (I don't like red sauce). Bill given to us at table before we finished and no consideration that we might want desert. Room smelled of smoke when we arrived.
Entrance, reception and bar area were nice. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Wallpaper peeling off the wall, huge chip in the bath, temperature difficult to get right on the shower, other guests making noise until 0530 from wedding party, way too expensive
Friendly bar staff
Restaurant not available on evening of my stay due to low occupancy
Room and staff
The service the staff went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable
Not much really
Our refurbished room!
Some outside space away from the road would have been nice. However overall our stay was most pleasant and I will certainly stay there again Outstanding value for money!
The location of our room was quiet and the room was a good size. The bathroom was adequate even though the shower took a while to fathom!
The bedroom was much to warm as probably due to Health and Safety regs the window could not be opened enough to let in much fresh air. A fan to cool the room would have been helpful. The mattress was not particularly comfortable as we are used to memory foam.
We stayed at the Hillcrest for a rugby game at Halton stadium, location is good for this, only 5mins. drive.
The room upgrade, friendly staff, very quiet
Restaurant, food (although was better than expected). I tried not to have too high expectations of the restaurant as I knew what I was letting myself in for. The restaurant experience was ok, but if I'd had the time and inclination, I definitely would have eaten elsewhere
15 police cars @ 11.50pm & 2 ambulances to a wedding reception. Noise and flashing lights went on until 4.00am.
We ad an excellent stay at the Hillcrest I would highly recommend to anyone to stay there. The staff were very friendly and professional at all times. The room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel.
I would have preferred a better choice in lager in the hotel bar, But that is a personal choice not really a criticism
room was very very small, dirty with wallpaper peeling off the walls. Bathroom was filthy. This is the worse hotel room I have ever stayed in.
Staff friendliness Excellent food all round Value for money
Run down shame for corus company. Worst ever wifi.
24 hour bar was great Comfortable size rooms - family Good atmosphere...
More coffee facilities in room, Only enough milk & coffee for 1 drink.
It was where I needed to stay pool table, bar area, large bathroom, tea and shampoo provided.
Small bedroom needed refurb but only paid 45 so value for money was fine.
Staff helpful Breakfast good Wedding venue very good
I mentioned that through speaking to other guests that we had paid more for our room and appeared to have a really basic room and was told "it could have been because you requested an early check-in!!!" as an ex hotel manager I have never charged or paid extra for an early check-in as I know these are not confirmed at the booking.
Staff were very polite
Room to small and toilet did not flush
Liked the function room
Very nice breakfast but fried eggs overdone and would have liked scrambled
The welcome by the Night Porter
No ventilation..it was a very warm night.
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable, good value for money.
The shower wasn't the best I've ever had but acceptable all the same.
Food was lovely and I only had a burger and fries, no extra charge for room service is a bonus. Wifi was good and to be able to use more than 1 device is great.
Front desk lady was not friendly but the Cu staff made up for it. Location is not great
convenient to rugby league ground
thunder storms but can't blame the hotel for that
Lovely feel to the place, bar area nice , staff helpful and friendly
shower kept going warm to cold.breakfast was disappointing,ie fatty bacon
Very friendly and helpful staff and large comfortable room. We were only staying briefly to be close to airport for following day.
Staff gave impression it was virtually impossible to miss the route to the airport (Liverpool) - not so! If this hotel is used by travellers like us then some proper directions would be very helpful.
