Immediate change of room when it was apparent that the previous guest had smoked. Beautiful view of the Cathedral from our window.

Courteous, friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

Evening meal was booked for 7:30 pm and we had to wait a considerable time to get a table and the meal was only reasonable

The considerate and helpful staff. Lift to our floor. Proximity to the Cathedral. Good choice of fine restaurant & bar meals. Free & strong wifi signal. Short walk to the railway station for trips to Ely & Cambridge. We are a couple in our late 70s.

Shower was barely adequate with low pressure and unpredictable temperature. The lack of access to SKY TV.

Overal fine for a short stay, nice staff, all English for a change...!

Pillows were very hard, like kerbstones

We had a lovely, spotlessly clean room. We asked for a quiet room and got it. The location of the hotel was brilliant - right in the middle of Norwich - a very beautiful city. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend you to our family and friends.

There was nothing we did not like. Just a suggestion. We booked through Booking.com on a room only basis. We ended up spending nothing in the hotel as breakfast, drinks etc were ( to us expensive), and we went elsewhere for them. If they had been priced more competitively we would have probably spent a lot more with you, together with the other couple we were with. I know you have inclusive offers but they did not seem to meet our needs at the time.

The Maids Head has real character and history and is well situated on the edge of the city centre, near the river. All the best parts of Norwich are in easy walking distance.

The location.

The £3 charge for a room service delivery is something we've never encountered anywhere else in the world and considering the cost of food in your restaurant it is unbelievable.

Location close to city attractions.

I booked an 'excecutive room'-there was absolutely nothing excective about it except the price!! Breakfast was good except the buffet was being packed away way too early (sometimes 08.30-08.45), not everyone wants to get up so early for breakfast while on holiday this also puts pressure on the guest to 'get going' before the buffet is closed.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable.

Excellent hotel in a great location plenty of bars and restaurants right on the doorstep. Shops just a short walk away.

The two steps down into the bathroom, the first of which was just through the door and there was no hand rail. Not easy to remember your walking stick when you have a call of nature in the middle of the night.

Car Parking Initial feature room was hot,dark and depressing. The alternative executive room was fine.

Good value. In the heart of the city opposite cathedral. Easy parking. Very comfortable bed. Signs of refurbishment. Very clean. Good beverage making facilities.

Room 102 situated over hotel back door. Takes ages for hot water to start running hot for bath. Shaver socket in bathroom not working - reported to staff on checkout. Room overlooked by another but no blinds or net curtain. Room smallish with one tiny chair.

The reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The hotel had a nice feel to it. The bed was comfortable and the room was a fair size.

One night, I felt like a nightcap, and was disappointed in the selection of premium spirits. May I recommend Pussers Rum, in addition to the current Captain Morgan; Powers instead of Jamieson (they are both from Diageo, so there should be no difficulty in obtaining it); either Bushmills Black Bush: a premium blend, or Redbreast: an Irish single malt. Aged rums are coming onto the uk market. It is probably too soon for the Maids Head to consider them yet, but one day soon ...

Interesting historic building in a historic city. Comfortable and clean. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Helpful staff.
