Location was excellent for our shopping trip: Hyde Park just across the street and only a short stroll to Oxford Street. Tube and bus stops just 100m away! Bus 148 runs directly from/to and Victoria station. Our executive double room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had a nice view to Hyde Park. Hotel has a nice restaurant and bistro/bar. Very professional and helpful staff. Window wasn't soundproofed at all, traffic noise from Bayswater road was heavy and we had to use earplugs at night. For us that wasn't a big deal but if you're very noise senitive ask for a room from a quieter side. Our room was on the 5th floor, overlooking Hyde Park. Pillows were hard as rock but surprisingly that didn't affect our sleep. Lack of minibar/fridge in executive room is a minus.

Convenience to stations ,taxis etc. We have stayed here for a few years and feel that the quality has dipped dramatically. Given first room above the next door pub- terrible noise even at 7.00.p.m. Had to go and ask for a change and despite initially being asked for 1st floor room because of husband's disability were initially given 3rd floor plus long walk and then second quieter room was on 4th floor! Toilet not working at all in 1st room and limited use in second one.

The room was spotless and despite it's tiny size it was modern. The double room was absolutely the smallest room I have ever been in. Who ever designed it deserves an award for creating a double room out of a broom cupboard. The very small double bed is up against the wall so there is one bedside table. There are no drawers or shelves in the entire room so had to leave underwear etc in our cases. There is a very small window (which is behind the bed) so the whole room has a very claustrophobic feel to it. Also you should note that the door into the bathroom is very narrow. Room ok for 1 adult and 1 child for 1 night but not for 2 adults and not for a longer stay.

The accommodation is perfectly suited my budget in addition to my purpose of visiting London for relaxation and fun. The location is perfect and close to most of my list of attractions. Loved it, top of my list for my future visits to the city.

My friend and I are 70 and 80 years old. We love to travel but find we need more assistance with directions and schedules. Your staff was more than helpful with each day's planning. The room was clean and efficient. We were aware of conversations in the adjoining rooms at night.

My stay ay the Corus was totally satisfactory, clean and comfortable with very friendly staff. The place was modern and welcoming. Room service was prompt and with a smile. The only glitch I had was the discount I was shown I was getting for booking on a certain website indicated a £500 per night stay normally, which it certainly was not that level of hotel, the price I paid, about £300 for 2 nights was about right I thought.

Very professional staff. We stayed in "executive" room #545, which size was much larger than expected, and overall room comfort was pretty good. General outlook of the rooms is quite modern. Bathroom is large and seems to have been recently renovated. Hotel is ideally located close to Lancaster Gate underground/bus stations (200 m) and Hyde Park (150m). Paddington train station (with express trains to/from Heathrow) is only 650m away from the hotel, which is really convenient to avoid travelling in the underground with large luggages ! The lifts had some trouble sometimes, but 3 lifts are available and that was not a big issue. Room price is a bit expensive but... We are in London !

Each room had a great aircondition facility, that removed the heat in just some seconds. The internet access was really good, and for free. The pillow comfort was not so good. They were too hard. The rooms were really small, inklusive the bathroom. This made the rooms become very warm during the day, luckely each room got great aircondition facilities. The english breakfast was ok, with a good price.

The food can be made halal upon order. Location was fantastic, I could walk and access all of London from here. Hotel staff was good and friendly. When I ordered room service, I had to go down and carry the tray up myself. If the hotel would do it, thats an additional 5 pound charge. Ridiculous !

Convenience and location. Refurbished and clean rooms and bathroom, comfortable despite being small. The room was so noisy, the windows not closing well, and all street noise in the room.

The location was great and the staff very good, rooms very small but well fitted out I know we stayed at a busy time but breakfast was a disaster. Everything ran out and the hot buffet was cold! The staff tried their best to make things better but there were too many people for them to cope.

The facade seemed quite good, reception light and spacious. The reception staff were pleasant and helpful. It was close to Hyde Park where we went for the bbc2 Music festival However the room was a big disappointment. When we opened the door we found it difficult to access; could only do it one at a time. It's the smallest room we have ever stayed in. We aren't big people but we struggled in the bathroom; there was no where to put anything. There was a short and narrow bath so getting a shower was quite a puzzle. The bed was up against the wall; there was so little space between the dresser and the foot of the bed that one of us had to climb in first before the other. The space between the bed and outside wall was only wide enough for one person. We paid over £145 for this. We didn't complain because we were on a tight schedule and were only staying one night but that does not excuse charging exorbitant fees for what I can only describe as a box room for one. I wouldn't choose to go there again

It has a good location near hyde park and Paddington station. Free internet access throughout the hotel was appreciated. The room was very small. I wanted to book a double room on booking.com but could only choose double/twin and we ended up with a twin in what felt like a shoebox (standard room). Breakfast is in two locations (confusing). We opted for a breakfast voucher for ful english breakfast, most of which was cold.

The location of the hotel is its premium advantage. I thought the hotel should offer more at its price. There was no ramp access for disabled people; my wife has arthritis and had to walk stairs in and out. We were wise to inform in advance, or just lucky, not to even get a room that had a few stairs at its entrance. Half of the rooms in our corridor seemed to be such. It looked like the hotel had tried to do the most of its space. The rooms and the bathrooms were small, and the separating walls quite cheap. We could all hear each other next door. Finally, we were welcome with the news that our double room which we had booked was NOT available until the next day, and we were offered two single rooms for the first night. After negotiations, we were able to get a twin room instead for our whole stay, which was not what we had reserved. Overall, it seemed to us that the hotel was too pricey for what it actually offered, under its glamorous surface.

“The Mornington included a breakfast in the price of the room. The breakfast was very nice indeed and really set us up for the day. If we had been paying for a breakfast separately I'm sure it would have been £10 or £15 each per day. Also the hotel was situated very close to the Lancaster Gate tube station and we were also able to walk across Hyde Park to get to Harrods etc.” Jeff, Newtownards |
