Location was excellent for our shopping trip: Hyde Park just across the street and only a short stroll to Oxford Street. Tube and bus stops just 100m away! Bus 148 runs directly from/to and Victoria station. Our executive double room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had a nice view to Hyde Park. Hotel has a nice restaurant and bistro/bar. Very professional and helpful staff. Window wasn't soundproofed at all, traffic noise from Bayswater road was heavy and we had to use earplugs at night. For us that wasn't a big deal but if you're very noise senitive ask for a room from a quieter side. Our room was on the 5th floor, overlooking Hyde Park. Pillows were hard as rock but surprisingly that didn't affect our sleep. Lack of minibar/fridge in executive room is a minus.

The accommodation is perfectly suited my budget in addition to my purpose of visiting London for relaxation and fun. The location is perfect and close to most of my list of attractions. Loved it, top of my list for my future visits to the city.

Great location Probably the worst wifi service I have used, the policy is to coerce he customer in paying for a premium service. In this era to pay for a simply service such as wifi access is blatant profiteering and not acceptable. Rooms were reasonable but small, but not cheap for a weekend booking.

I was in room 277 and the noise level from 7:00 am on was extremely loud outside from the opening/closing of dumpters/incinerators to breaks by the staff.

Near Hyde Park and underground Executive room but bed dipped in middle with "roll together". Minimal toiletries, no facecloths, no fridge in room.Shoer good but shower area poor. Handle on bath wall is where you stand for shower and this reduced room to shower so I had to stand sideways. Shower curtain kept biiowing and sticking to me. Not a good experience. Shoer screen would have been better. Hook on back of door in bathroom so high up it was useless and toilet rolol so far away from toilet you had to stretch while sitting on toilet.None of reception staff had English as their first language and so they struggled to undestand us. Could not have evening meal at hotel before theatre as it did not openuntil 6pm, although we were told 5.30pm. Our booking did not have breakfast added, although we had receipt saying we had breakfast included. This caused embarassment at the breakfast reception as we should have had proof from reception to say we had paid for breakfast.

The location was perfect for us, opposite Hyde park, and very handy for both Paddington Station and the Central Line underground station which took us to the White City shopping centre and to our theatre. We found the room to be a little "tired". The woodwork needs a coat of paint and the base of the bed was badly scuffed.

Location was good. Over the road was Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens. Lancaster Gate tube station and Paddington tube station are only minutes walk away so everywhere in London is easily reachable. Reception, Lobby, breakfast area and downstairs restaurant looks nice and are of a 4 star standard. The rooms are very dark. Not much natural light coming into the rooms. If your in a room at the back of the hotel you view is just a roof and walls. Also windows do not open. The front of the hotel your next to the main road and that is basically your view. The glass windows are as thin as paper and so are the walls and you can hear every noise that happens around you so a few drinks are needed to sleep. Rooms are clean but very basic and beds are uncomfortable and move around on wheels when you move about in bed. The rooms are nowhere near a 4 star standard. I would say 2 Star maybe 3 at a push.

The best thing about Corus Hotel Hyde Park was the attached Bel Canto Restaurant which was first class french food with opera singing waiters and waitresses. We had a fantastic evening there. The Corus bar facilities with food were good and the breakfast great. Good for families. Nice view overlooking Hyde Park. One of our rooms was upgraded as they had run out of executive rooms. The upgrade was very impressive. You can book a parking place prior to your arrival. We had booked two double executive rooms, which you could certainly not clasify as executive and were small. Although the bed was clean, the carpet was dirty and was re-patched in places. Very disappointing, we checked with the staff and they confirmed it was an executive room. We are saying yes we would recommend others here only if they are lucky enough to get an upgrade and the location in Bayswater Rd is perfect for Knightsbridge and Marble Arch.
