Fantastic location. The staff were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. We stayed New Years Eve and really enjoyed the late bar and entertainment on until the wee small hours.
Location excellent, free wifi
Room was cold, AC didn't work, shower not warm enough to enjoy, bar not worth mentioning
Helpful reception staff. The Bel Canto restaurant was wonderful.
I had four bills during my stay - for the rooms, two bar bills and the restaurant. I was overcharged on three of them. They tried to charge me £30 more for the rooms than my Booking.com confirmation. They said the higher price came straight onto their system from Booking.com. The restaurant charged for a more expensive bottle of wine than we had actually drunk, (but it was still a fab restaurant with opera singing waiters and i would still recommend it), the bar charged for a pint when I only had a half. All sorted amicably, but it did seem a pattern
Location Friendly Reception staff
Room Service time Rudeness of room service waiter asking for money!
Noise level in the room.
The reception area and dining areas very pleasant and relaxing. No queues at reception and dealt with efficiently. Didn't eat here so can't comment on food.Bedrooms were clean and pleasant, everything we required.Big bath towels. Bathroom very small but clean. Didn't use WiFi so can't comment.
Mattress felt like sleeping on a bag of potatoes and was in need of replacement. The shower/bath had a area above it that jutted out and meant if your shoulder was higher than the bit that jutted out you had to shower in only half the width of the bath, which made the shower curtain stick to your skin. Very unpleasant for anyone taller than 5'3"!
Everything is good!
Concierge thankfully very helpful.
Room, reception, parking.....did not stay for breakfast. The room was a single and very tiny, in the basement. No lift!!! The outside window was at ground level and very very noisy.
Needs new mattresses
The bed was like sleeping on a hill, if you was on the right hand side you were lucky not to roll off on the floor. I booked 2 nights but at different times through different agencies. I rang the hotel and was told i couldn't have the same room as they were 2 different categories (fair enough). When booking in was told the same (fair enough). So we waitied until 12 to book out as we couldn't book back in until 2, but requested at 12 if our room was ready only to be told we could stay in that room. I think this could have been better arranged by hotel.
Rooms needed refurb and were way too small for comfort
Location Building Cleanliness
Room Wi-fi Reception Staff
I loved it. Clean and friendly and got a good price on it compared to other hotels in such an area.
The room had stairs which was no big deal. Two single beds instead of a big one but overall very good
Comfy bed Good location
Our room was in the corner and we could hear a lot of noise from outside View from our window was of dump yard of hotel from where we heard constant noise of binning.
It was a very nice entrance
Carpets stained. Second lift on the right a bit wonky. A waitress couldn't understand the fact that we wanted to pay for our drinks by card and subsequently took our drinks away. The price definitely did not reflect. Checked prices after of Langham and Pancras. Will choose one of those next time
Lovely central location in Hyde Park, with beautiful views. We stayed in December, and were greeted by wonderful Christmas decorations, helpful, kind staff and warm, clean and tidy hotel. Plenty of towels and light refreshments in the room. I would recommend The Corus to all!
Staff helpful and friendly Good breakfast
Bathroom needs updating, decor tatty
We had two double rooms, one was ok, the other wasn't because of the noice. The room was on the third floor an you could only see a small court with lots of trash. The noise of the ventilators changed every time and was really loud also through the night. The staff also emptied the glass trash at 1 during the night!
I love it this hotel specially the ladies in reception they are really nice and helpful also the room were nice clean comfortable and all was perfect to stay The value of money was good for double room and close to hydepark its was amazing hotel I love it
Room size of twin was fair, very well equipped, but bathroom very small. Ok for 1 night but don't think I'd want it for any more. The price for breakfast is stupid, lovely cafe round corner did full English for £7. Public areas of hotel were lovely, but bar prices were stupid, and the selection of drinks very limited, only 1 larger on tap, no lemonade. We were only there 1 night to go to Hyde park and paid a great rate. So thought we had a bargain!
No double glazing on windows so loud traffic noise.
It was my daughters 18th and they upgraded our rooms foc
More or less everything
Pillows were too firm and caused a very stiff neck!
Location was good
Noisy as windows are not double glazed it was cold and bugs kept coming in through vent in room
Very good location near Lancaster Gate underground (which is on the central line) Great amount of choice in breakfast Good bed Offering a reasonable priced parking space
You had to hold on to your plate during breakfast. Staff was a bit eager to clean your table while you were still eating.
The Bathroom was miniscule, just getting in to the room was difficult as the doorway was very narrow, the bathroom lights only worked when they felt like it and there was a leak in the bathroom ceiling, i'm guessing from the bathroom above.
