Old building, bathroom too small, with bath tub so high that you have to have long legs to climb inside it. I hate that sink, and toilet don't work smoothly. TV is affixed to the corner wall, which is quite an awkward position for tv.
Best part is the location. It i close to Underground (subway), close to Paddington station (which is very important if you need heathrow express to get to airport).
The staff were quite friendly, not everyone are efficient though. You can leave luggage easily if you arrive before check in time. Room is quite small but expected I guess for big city like London. The building appears old and drabby. I can see chipping of paint on the wall. Bed was comfortable, I love that the windows are over the bed, and you wake up with sunlight streaming to your room. It has basic amenities, nothing special. A safe in the room, coffeepot, and tv awkwardly attached to the wall. For two people, it is the perfect size. Bathroom, on the other side is not up to par to the hotel's standard. The bathtub is extremely high, that you need to have long legs just to climb it, making it unsafe. I had to hold on to the railings just to get in the tub. Bathroom is small, sink is quite small, water fills up quickly. Toilet flushes weird. Shampoo/condition/soap poor quality.
I think the best part of this hotel is really the location. I love that hyde park is just a few meters away. It is close to nearby restaurants, Lancaster gate is the subway stop close to, and convenience store is also close by for water/food needs. Overall, it is still a good hotel for the location and comfort.
