Brilliant location, helpful staff, excellent speedy lifts, very clean room, hot powerful shower, lovely friendly reception/Concierge.
Room a little gloomy and the bed rolled away when leaning on the bed head reading.
Location Good price for central London
The hotel was truly amazing and the staff very polite and helpful.
Poor service at breakfast, water roasting in the showers, draughty window in bedroom, staff couldn't care!!
Stayed here for a night with my husband whilst visiting Winter Wonderland. The hotel was close enough to everything we needed. Would stay again, we were both very happy.
The short distance to the main shopping area and to the trains.
Near to underground. Central .
The shower was tricky. No minibar. I could hear everything from the other rooms next to mine. Small room for economic double room.
The location was great
The room was tiny
Very friendly staff, great location, good breakfast.
Windows could be better sound proofed, plus slight draught..
Located close to Tube station. Breakfast was good quality food. Concierge were very helpful.
TV did not work in Room , asked twice for it to be fixed but wasnt. Room was freezing as windows had gaps. Very noisy , lost sleep due to gaps in windows. Breakfast service was appauling , ran out of white bread at 9:30. No cutlery , condiments etc.
The first room we were checked into smelt like an ashtray; despite it being a no smoking room. We did change rooms with no question.
my double room was about 15ft by 10ft with a double bed pushed up to wall so you have to climb over you partner to get in bed !!! the shower cubicle was so small you couldn't close the door when in shower ,one of the worst hotel rooms I have stayed in .
Location is good
Last year when i comment about this hotel i have written old, now this year it is older than last year.
Tatty sofa in room. Some new furniture needed.
Every thing was excellent. All the staff where very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was perfect and the bed was amazing, best night sleep I've had in a long time.
The shower was terrible. Everything was perfect, so to have a cruddy shower was annoying. It was to low for my height, it wasn't really that hot and it lacked some power.
Location, front office staff were very efficient. It was clean, beds were good. Fine for an overnight stay. Accommodation was only 2 star level
Room was a tiny box, shower had no pressure, toilet wouldn't flush properly, the service at breakfast was appalling, good job the food was nice.
location near metro station Very effective maintenance: bed was broken first night, they immediately sent somebody to repair; same for the safe which didn't function, somebody came quickly to change it. Very resourceful concierge, very kind and helpful.
size of the room, they first gave us a mini room with the bed against the wall (one of us had to jump over the other to get up),; we asked to change for a slightly bigger room, at least with the bed in the middle, but almost without day light. Mini-bathroom, you could almost not move in it. Breakfast room in the underlevel like a cafeteria , very noisy, not very welcoming; buffet simple, fruit salad only with apples and oranges.Could be a little more . Service very slow at the bar at lunch.
Good location, helpful concierge
Staff at the reception couldn't speak English properly and some rude staff at the restaurant
heating/air con - system - poorly regulated blocked sink door that would not fully open no beaker in bathroom
Excellent high tea and breakfast.
A throw on one of the beds was dirty with something that looked like blood. Not nice!!!
The pub next door! Food and drink were much better and cheaper, and the staff actually knew what they were doing!
Food (everything we ordered was totally wrong, cold, late and expensive). Staff didn't know what they were doing, many couldn't understand English. Rooms were very small (I think they put two of us in a single). Don't think we'll be going back.
We really liked the central location which was convenient for rail travel to/from Paddington station. They also found convenient parking at the rear of the hotel for some of our party. The hotel rooms were clean and reception staff were friendly and helpful, quickly resolving a faulty shower issue.
Although the deal was good VFM, the rooms were very small, and the bathrooms particularly cramped. The room was very warm and the aircon made little impact. The windows hardly opened so were of little help. If we came here again, we would probably upgrade to a bigger room but it was okay for a night or two.
Breakfast was very poor for £18.95 per head and had to wait for plates and food to be replenished. Was completley put off when I found a rather large hair in my eggs. Rooms rather small and basic and very hot ! Air con did not work
The room was good enough with a large and comfortable bed. The ftted carpet had seen it's best days though and was stained and felt dirty. The staff where kind and helpful. Overall a good hotell - though expensive (but London aint cheap to live in).
The fitted carpet had seen it's best days though and was stained and felt dirty. The bath tub could well be replaced with a shower. A bit on the expensive side - didn't include breakfast which also was an expenive detail.
Great location for underground and train station, situated in a really lovely area.
We like fresh air in our room, but it was rather a mission to get the window opened.
