Room was a bit small, but not a major concern Décor tired with marks on the walls etc Furniture tired with cracks on tables etc Bathroom looked very tired with marks and chips on bath and décor old fashioned and taps not very effective. Breakfast service was poor, as the staff were spending more time on setting up the tables for Christmas lunch rather than attending residence at the breakfast sitting. We were in a non-smoking room, but staff or residents were smoking just outside through double doors and smoke was going throughout the hotel corridors which was so strong they might as well have smoked in the hotel corridor and kept the heat in……………. The smoke was so strong it was coming into our room rather making it a waste of time being a non-smoking room.

I liked the proximity to the M42 and the fact that you could not hear the traffic although near to a busy main road. The staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean. The twin room was comfortable and value for money A shower cap would have been useful. Only one pack of biscuits in the room and towels out for one person although we booked a twin room. (Did find spare set of towels in the wardrobe.

I got an one bed room located upstairs of kitchen where a really loud air condition was mounted directly on the wall of my room. After some discussion with hotel manager they changed my room to another one. Very clean and comfortable.

Being able to stay in a nice hotel with our dogs , taking them into the bar to eat , the fact that you serve food so late , even the bar food is good quality and priced reasonably . We show dogs as a hobby , having used your Hotel for Crufts we enjoy it so much we will be using when ever we are in the area , excellent in every way , thank-you Coffee at breakfast was luke warm , only one small pot between us , which we had finnished long before we had our food

I liked the facilities for taking my dog to Corus Solihull. The availability of the courtyard for exercising my dog safely was excellent. I would have no hesitation in staying again. I have one issue regarding room service. Although speedier than expected unfortunately the sandwiches made with stale bread were disappointing.

Nice comfortable bed, good choice of tv channels, nice big room which was comfortable and had a fridge so could bring my own food which as I work away each week is a bonus as I hate hotel food all the time, overall a nice hotel. The shower was rubbish though, water pressure was awful and could not get it any better.

The rooms are shabby with broken fittings and need an urgent uplift. The restaurant is expensive and the food unimaginative and reminds me of what used to pass for acceptable 20 years ago. The staff are willing but seem mildly disorganised and lack crispness - probably due to a lack of leadership.

Location was ideal for my meeting at cranmore business park. Nice hotel with all-round facilities apart from leisure facilities were on the small side & especially jacuzzi. A bath in my bathroom. Tea & coffee in room. Cosy room with everything i needed & nice view of garden. Free on-site parking & free wi-fi is a big plus. Smell in room & bathroom on arrival - housekeeping need to use fragranced cleaning agents or something. Jacuzzi too small. Showers in leisure part were in bad condition & i waited till i got back to my room to have 1. Hotel could do with being redecorated.

The hotel was located in close proximity to my business appointment. It was good to have the option of a second hotel in the area (my first choice was the Premier Inn which was fully booked for the night of my stay). The hotel had ample parking facilities. Although some of the staff were very friendly and helpful (reception and cleaning staff), others were less friendly and professional (breakfast staff). The room was far too hot. Even with the thermostat on the radiator turned down, the pipework in the room was too hot to touch. The shower was difficult to operate and extremely hard to turn off. Due to the age of the building, noise could be heard from people moving around in the room above (creaking floor boards at night).

Hotel has a pool (with spa, steamroom & sauna) and a gym. Changing facilities are a bit basic, but pool was ok and never too busy (at least when I chose to use it). I'd stayed at the hotel about 18months before although this was the first time I used the pool. My room was comfy & warm. The bathroom was a bit small, with small bath and fixed shower - however I used the one in the fitness centre mostly. I've never eaten in the restaurant so can't comment. The hotel bar is a sports bar although there is a quiet lounge too you can relax and eat in. Bar menu is basic but good value. Also got a great room price considering there was a big show at NEC that week. Would certainly stay there again in future. The name. "The Regency" conjours up images of somewhere grand and opulent. The reality is that it's a nice enough hotel, rooms are clean with standard facilities. There's the added bonus of the pool & gym if you are so inclined, but the Morrisey bar is like a throwback to a working men's social club with a projector showing sky sports and football all the time. But there is another lounge if you prefer somewhere quieter. Also, I'd reverse the exit and entrance to car park as trying to get out in rush hour is tricky.

The Hotel was in a perfect location for us. The Hotel receptionist was very pleasant, helpful and there was no problems booking in. The Hotel and the room was clean and any of the staff we had dealings with were very polite and the rooms were cleaned each day all in all we would definitely stay again. Just two things that did put a "slight" down on our visit was the fact that there was no hand wash/soap provided. On arrival I went down to reception and asked had they got any soap for the bathroom and was given 3 small sample shampoo as they had no soap but was reassured that it was mild shampoo and that it would do the same job (That made us smile). We were told we would get some the following day (we didn't get any soap in fact the cleaner took the 3 shampoos away haha). The thing which we feel is something to think about prior to booking is that the Hotel has a function room upstairs on guest room floor level along with a downstairs venue. On the Friday night that we stayed from 8pm the music blasted. I would not have minded but to make it worse it was 1980's music and as I didnt like it in the 80's so I certainly don't like it now :-) After being told by the reception about the venue on or floor just down the hall and also that it was going on to 1am we asked for another room, she sorted it out instantly and although we had to repack and move to another part of the Hotel, it was worth the good nights sleep and not a whimper of Dexys Midnight runners was heard :-) All in all we will stay again its really minor in the bigger picture of things.

Good location for our requirements and helpful staff. The rooms are in an extremely tired state. Cleanliness should be better: we had hairs in the bath and stained furniture. Our first Exec room suffered from the noise of an outside generator which made glass shelves rattle. However, staff were helpful and eventually changed our room.
