It was close enough to Solihull to enjoy the town excellent shopping experience. The room was warm and had all I needed for a stay which involved visiting my family. I pool was long enough to actually swim in. The sauna and steam rooms were satisfactory. My room looked onto to pretty gardens which I appreciated. The pool was not supervised satisfactory which enabled a man and his young son to play volley ball while adults tried to swim, marring the experience. The showers and changing rooms need updating.

Changed room several times, first one had no bathroom light, the next one was a double when I'd asked for a twin (only found this out after dragging all of the luggage upstairs), the next room was really smelly, the bathroom had a terrible damp problem and also a huge fluorescent light facing towards the window resulting in a terrible night's sleep. The final room was acceptable but old fashioned decor and furniture.

The staff were very friendly and helpful It was very noisy, fire doors constantly banging from about 5am in the morning. Breakfast was expensive for what it was and my single room turned out to be more costly than those sharing a double or twin.

Clean and Tidy Long walk to rooms, wfi not working. Reception staff behaviour was poor, being short and less that customer friendly, not just with me but another guest when handling his query. Also tried to charge more than the agreed room price, hassle you don't need first thing in the morning. Will say yes to recommed hotel to others but beware

Close to the nec where we were going , the rooms were comfortable and clean , reception staff were polite and friendly, clean and large grounds. We took our dog which was welcomed and would recommend this hotel to other people who like to take their dogs. A very large hotel , it took quite a while to get to our room but was not a problem as there is lifts to the rooms if needed. Bar staff rude or maybe just lack of intelligence ??

I liked the location and the facilities. The rooms are far away from the Reception as they are not easy to get to with a large suitcase.

Good food. Free wifi. Friendly reception staff. Gym facilities Waiting staff in the restaurant in the evening. They made you feel they did not want to be there. Impatient and rather rude when it came to paying the bill as my colleague was "told off" twice for making the bill "too complicated" and causing "confusion and delay"! Basic maths and manners were required. Noisy room and no double glazing in room 226, with joy riders parked outside revving engines at 11.30pm!!

It was comfortable, quiet and fulfilled my needs. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was okay, it was clean and had what most now consider to be a luxury which I consider to be important, drink facilities, washing facilities, iron and press. For me personally as a business women, I carry alot of changes of clothes, vanity case, shoes etc, most of which are quite heavy and I would have liked to be given more consideration about where in the Hotel I was placed. I had a very very very long way to go to me room and had to take 2 trips in order to get everything to it ( glad it was 2 nights not 1. Perhaps in the future a little more consideration would be nice locality for me is paramount in a hotel. Many thanks,

I got an one bed room located upstairs of kitchen where a really loud air condition was mounted directly on the wall of my room. After some discussion with hotel manager they changed my room to another one. Very clean and comfortable.

Being able to stay in a nice hotel with our dogs , taking them into the bar to eat , the fact that you serve food so late , even the bar food is good quality and priced reasonably . We show dogs as a hobby , having used your Hotel for Crufts we enjoy it so much we will be using when ever we are in the area , excellent in every way , thank-you Coffee at breakfast was luke warm , only one small pot between us , which we had finnished long before we had our food

I liked the facilities for taking my dog to Corus Solihull. The availability of the courtyard for exercising my dog safely was excellent. I would have no hesitation in staying again. I have one issue regarding room service. Although speedier than expected unfortunately the sandwiches made with stale bread were disappointing.

Nice comfortable bed, good choice of tv channels, nice big room which was comfortable and had a fridge so could bring my own food which as I work away each week is a bonus as I hate hotel food all the time, overall a nice hotel. The shower was rubbish though, water pressure was awful and could not get it any better.

“Very friendly staff and a clean comfortable and, mostly, quiet hotel. It suited our needs perfectlly. Central proximity to a group of friends & family we needed to see with only one night available in the area. Good breakfast; freshly prepared instead of the usual buffet table.” Steve, Winston Hills |
