The hotel was value for money & the staff were friendly & helpful. Ample on site car parking. Free Wifi.
It was not easy to locate when driving past looking for the hotel! The swimming pool was not in use & empty. The menu was basic (served promptly & hot).
Polite staff, clean, good price
Carpets threadbare, hairdryer not working, noisy buildings close by, no bathmat made shower slippy
Close to shops and town centre.
Breakfast could have been better quality.
It was empty when we arrived no atmosphere and no staff to be seen anywhere. We had to wander around for about 10 minutes to find someone.
Staff always friendly
Cobwebs, not being understood properly when talking with the receptionist (who is lovely) my partner fixed the fuse board as the lights in the whole floor didn't work. Didn't even get a comp drink or a discount on room. On a Saturday night an electrician would have taken a huge charge to have fixed it :(
friendly helpful staff rooms clean & comfortable location was brilliant for the purpose of our visit to Leicester area
in need of some redecoration in places
The staff are excellent from the moment you walk through the door, very friendly greeting . Staff in bar and restaurant area very cheerful also good service reasonably quick food service.room good bed very comfortable ,not sure about tv in cupboard wifi excellent. This is a very good place just needs a bit of sprucing up to stop it feeling tired would definitely use again
I arrived late afternoon and my room was down a few corridors ,these need to have lighting on . I had an evening meal that was not the best and not hot ,also had breakfast this again was not hot although I was well within the meal times .
We recently stayed there to celebrate my Husband's birthday. The room was clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was really good. The Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definately stay there again.
The room size was good and the staff were not too bad either as when we had to ask for additional items and a change of key card they helped out .
The bed was too soft and we had to ask for additional pillows as only 1 each on bed and they were too soft and thin. The bathroom was freezing as it was not working and also the air vent not working in there either. The room was not that clean as dusty and s lot of spiders webs all around the room ceiling too. We also had problems with our key card too.
Very conveniently located for South Leicester and pleasant Blaby Village centre. Plenty of free parking. Comfortable large bed. Good sized, well furnished rooms. Reasonably priced accommodation
Pool and fitness suite not open. Insufficient lighting in bathroom General maintenance
Comfortable and well appointed for the price
Super convenient for my business trip but may be limited for a vacation
Everything I like
The receptionist was incredibly helpful. It appeared that most people staying af the hotel that night were going to the same party and she sorted out cabs for us all even tho it was extremely busy.
The bathroom radiator wasn't working and there was no lock on one of the windows. If I had been staying on my own I would have asked to be moved as we were on the ground floor.
Very silent at night Large rooms
A little outdated
Staff were quite helpful Parking was good It was conveniently situated for where we needed to be.
No heating in room, had to ask staff to switch it on. They replied it was on a timer. The radiator never got warm Only one towel in bathroom Only two teabags on tray, just enough for one cup for the morning. Thought that was stingy.
Simple efficiancy. Just what I needed.
Heating on my room was defective -again-. I was given a tiny portable electric fan that made a lot of noise and little heat. Wifi is very unstable. Every time you leave your room, you should have your card reswiped at reception to make sure you get in again. This has been ongoing for months now (I've stayed here before)
I stayed in this hotel several times. The hotel has everything you would expect it to have. It has excellent parking too. There is a bar and Gym (I can't comment on the Gym as I didn't use it). The room is furnished to a good standard, has hairdryer, clothes press, phone, tv, coffee facilities (with biscuits). The shower is excellent, and the towels are good quality hotel towels. The bath towel is huge and fluffy. The room I stayed in was quiet and very comfortable. The most important thing is that the bed is very comfortable and I had an excellent nights sleep. So here's a thank you to the Blaby hotel for making my stay comfortable at an excellent cost.
Can't think of anything.
Room size, warmth and bed comfort LOADS of hot water. Pleasant, helpful cleaning staff. An excellent breakfast and attentive (but not irritating) staff. A great base for our weekend at a friend's birthday bash just down the road...Leicester centre was an easy drive away too.
Expected a pool but it was drained and closed for good apparently. Some areas looking a bit worn and dingy.....just needs a bit of love and attention (and a cash input)
Easy connections to city centre by bus, located very close to bus stations, close to blaby shopping centre .
Nothing really stood out. Was just a stop over but facilities that were there were fab. I'm sure if they increased the foot fall they could open some of the amazing facilities there :)
Took ages to check in. Receptionist didn't acknowledge us waiting even though she was intermittently with a customer. Slight lack of a personal touch. As a former hotel receptionist. I made sure I knew the names of everyone checking in with a booking. Cobwebs were having a fun time on bedroom ceiling, room service need to remember to look above eye level ;)
Bedroom was clean, tidy, well presented and very comfortable. En-suite was very good. If you just want somewhere comfortable to sleep/wash this place is fine
Public areas are very tired, soem require urgent attention. Restaurant service was extremely slow with different items missing from the menu every evening.
Was a nice quite hotel second time stayed there with my partner lots of space in the rooms
The bed was so uncomfortable we went home with back ache we ended up sleeping on the floor
Very run down
