The positive welcome continued into the dining room where the staff were polite, engaging and well trained. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean although there was no view to speak of.(room 8).

This hotel was absolutly filthy I had booked for two nights for our anniversary and we couldnt wait to leave, the bathroom towels were dirty there were long curly black hairs all over the bathroom floor and the mounds of dust in the room was unreal, the phone had layers of it! I suffer from asthma, so it wasnt plesant. It was overpriced the evening meal was cold and overcooked and we waited over half a hour between starter and main because the staff were too busy dealing with a function, we ate somewhere else the next evening which was much better. I wont be staying here again, if I hasnt have paid upfront id have demanded a refund. I would definately not recommend. Nothing satisfied me about this hotel at all, appart from the view of my car and the exit route as I left.

Location.Parking The room we had No 8 was rather dark with a window over the service yard that did not provide a pleasent prospect. This room allocation on a Sunday night when the place seemed empty and we were staying two nights was rather odd. We have stayed before and we were very impressed by the room we hadon that visit.

Good location, easy access to city and suburbs. The reception area was inviting. Free daily newspapers. Plenty of free parking with cctv. Staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. All areas were clean and well maintained. Delicious food. We intend staying again at this hotel.

Friendly staff, convenient location between my family in Alvechurch and Birmingham, on site parking, near m42. Quiet room with very comfortable beds. We booked a special 2 night offer which was good value for money. The continental breakfast was fine. Sunday morning breakfast service was very inefficient - the hotel was having a Valentine offer for a romantic night including breakfast so many guests arrived for breakfast at 9.30. They then waited for half an hour in the bar as the empty tables had to be cleared and relaid, this could have been done in 5 minutes with willing staff and a good manager. Monday morning service was no problem with the regular, efficient, friendly staff on duty.

The Westmead is privately owned and this is reflected in the excellent, flexible and friendly service we received throughout. Staff couldnt have been more eager to make our stay absolutely perfect. (We asked for extra tea bags and coffee and were brought a tray of tea and coffee made for us, at no cost). Room 29 is large and very well appointed with a huge bed! Rooms are well sound-proofed and the location is semi-rural yet close to the M42, so convenient for Motorways or shopping (e.g. in Solihull). Wedding meal and the evening buffet was great. Highly recommended!

Staff were profesional and efficient from the outset, we ate in the bar and the food was really nice and good value for money. Our room was clean and modern with a really nice bathroom. All in all an excellent hotel at the right price.

Although they were very busy with over 300 people having there xmas parties, the staff re opened the restaraunt just for us. They were all very busy but you would not no this by the excellent service we recieved. The manager served us in the restaraunt & the head chef found time not only to cook us a fantastic meal but came to see us to make sure we had enjoyed his food. We cant recommend this hotel high enough after our stay, we can only say that we will be returning in the very neer future.

Made extremely welcome. The room heating was fine, but the bathroom relied upon the room heater. It should have had a heater or heated towel rail of it's own.
