The hotel is well located and conducive to a relaxing experience. Excellent breakfast. The room we stayed in, 323, was a bit tired looking and would benefit from redecoration to the room and bathroom.

The staff couldn't do enough for you. Also, whilst staying at the hotel use of the leisure facilities was free.

We had a very comfortable stay at the Windlestrae Hotel and were able to enjoy the smart pool too. The breakfast was a little disappointing.

Good central location - easy access to many attractions in Central Scotland. Felt that the hotel was some what beginning to look dated - particularly the bedrooms.

Firstly and foremost my reasons for choosing the Windlestrae were its easy bus access (Kinross Park and ride) into Edinburgh and importantly the leisure facilities for the evening particulalry the swimming pool and steam room. The general atmosphere is quite and relaxing with an excellent morning breakfast. Excellent value for money. The room I had was subject to noise from the swimming pool complex pumping or heating or... system overnight. Mind you I do like to sleep with the window slightly open. If you do too, perhaps on booking a request for a room not facing the complex might be advantageous.

We have stayed there on many occasions and have found the staff very helpful, unfortunately our last visit was marred by the receptionist' indifferent attitude. The bar staff and restaurant staff were excellent as normal. The indifferent attitude of one receptionist.

Ideal location for breaking a journey North. Excellent facilities including use of pool and jacuzzi. Pleasant bar serving a good range of food. Good quality and choice at breakfast in well appointed dining room. Comfortable and spacious bedroom. Temperature maintained at a "comfortable" level throughout the hotel. Easy access from the main road with ample parking spaces close to the entrance. All staff were polite, cheerful and helpful.
