Good sized room

Very poor shower pressure. Glasses were not washed in my room. Food very average. No elevator. No offer of wake up call or newspaper

Had a wonderful chill-our night. Staff very helpful and friendly I every department we visited i.e. reception, spa, bar etc. Did not realise this wee heaven was only 20mins from home!!!

Breakfast in hotel, poor quality sausages, hotel was very dust due to rooms being renovated, dust built up very quickly, pool starting to look a bit tired and small tiles are coming off the bottom of pool

The staff were all very happy to help. The pool was warm and easy and simple to enter. The food in the one restaurant we tried was excellent and very good value for the money.

Spa are was quite good.breakfast was good.bed was comfortable

Steam room not working. Room needs revamp, We have stayed in hotel before and we know that there are refurbished rooms which are much nicer .

can not remember the receptionist name but she was lovely and helpfull. A very enjoyable stay thank-you.

The swimming pool. Actually ended up staying at the sister hotel the Green Hotel where I found the staff were lovely. Had a few problems but the issues were resolved quickly and politely. Excellent waiting service whenever we used the restaurant/breakfast etc. If you dont mind dogs I would actually recommend the hotel.

I would have preferred not to have been confronted by staff asking for payment up front at the Windlestrae. I was actually moved to the Green due to refurbishment downstairs. Whilst in the Green Hotel, cleaning was complained about which was dealt with quickly - I found a pair of someone's socks under the bed on departure and crisps on the breakfast room floor which given we were first in the morning it would appear were left from the night before. Apart from the cleaning didnt like the daily venture over the road to the pool, however that would not have happened if the original booking had been ok. It was a last minute booking and might be my impression gained incorrectly, but thought that Loch leven was right by the hotel, which it isnt, in case any

This is a really good hotel in a good location with a lot of memories for us. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

In Monty's restaurant, there was just too much pasta in my Pesto meal, and not enough sauce.

Having to climb 2 flights of stairs and have a bathroom, where I could not shower (unable to climb over the bath), despite the hotel knowing I was disabled. They offered me a room that was large but up lots off painful stairs or one on the ground floor in the area of refurbishment, with noise and human traffic. They insisted we looked at the room up the stairs and the other would not be suitable. When we returned to our room at 21:30 the room was freezing. I turned the radiator control on and it was still freezing in the room at 22:00 and I realised that the control was broken but by that time we were in our night attire and did not want to have an engineer in our room at that time (if they had one available). We had a horrendous night. I complained in the morning and the receptionist said that she would get it fixed, which was of no use to us, as we were only there for one night.

A cheap break if you don't mind a lot of kids in the restaurant and swimming pool but not very romantic for adult couples.

The hotel is tired and in need of a refurb. Extremely noisy extraction fan in the bathroom which we could not switch off. The gym was overcrowded with non residents and too small. The restaurant was a glorified fast food cafe with very mediocre food.

Great location for a golf break. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms in the process of being refurbished. Excellent menu in restaurant. Great breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere.

Squeaky door at the top of the stairs. Our room was next to it.

the staff were very welcoming, specially the girls on reception. the leisure faciliries were great. the restaurant served great meals. the buffet breakfast was amazing. overall had a good stay & would go back.

the room .was very basic wirh two single beds put together for a double. the bar rushes stopped serving fod ar 2.30pm would hiv like it to.serve food all day.

Hotel in general very nice, room comfortable.

Poor TV set, picture and sound continually breaking up. Unable to access wifi.

Nice location with sister hotel over road where u can make use of resteraunt if on dinner/ b&B. Leisure facilities fair but book in advance for facials/massages as non available when we arrived!

General presentation & decor very dated in hotel/room. Good value for money if sharing but not for single occupancy! Basic facilities in room.

Fantastic staff, restaurants for excellent value, service and quality of food, swimming pool and location of hotel couldn't be better for walks and for getting into Edinburgh

Rooms a little tired although refurbishment being under taken. Rooms need a little bit more attention to cleaning.
