Staff all very helpful.Service in dining room good.Hotel clean.Ample parking.Close to good shopping and trains to London. The showers need an up grade they drip - some of the rooms are above the kitchen and very hot - room 311 very noisy due to ajoining cupboard containing noisy pipework.First night of stay very little sleep had to be moved to 309.following day - Breakfasts too expensive.Should come with the room.Food prices for the location much to high.Used to eat at the hotel before it changed hands - to expensive now - ate my our meals at local venues instead. The prices charged would lead one to expect air conditioning at this hotel and free bar snacks.- Not worth the money.Beds need an upgrade.

Good location for family reunion, staff very accommodating, cozy lounge for gathering. Hotel needed updating, a little shabby. Should be ready for renovation. Rooms not in logical order, had to go up stairs across hall and down again to get to first floor room.

Good car parking area. Centrally located. Breakfast would have been first class but for the coffee. The black main entrance doors were awkward to open and the reception area was not customer friendly. Our romm was at the front on the first floor. There was a great deal of noise from the revellers in the High Street which continued well after midnight. The bath was awkward to enter and the wash hand basin had been cracked for many years. The W.C. cistern took ages to refill. Energy saving light bulbs gave insufficient light to read by.

I really liked the historical element of the hotel. It had a great deal of historical charm and situated in the old town area it is ideal for local restaurants within short walking distance. The old furnature and creaky floor added interest to the corridors. The room its self was a dull and bit tired looking and the bathroom was particularly in need of some attention and cleaning (mould etc). The facilities were ok but lacked that 'little something special' for such a historical building. There was no safety lock or window grill on the full length window which could be dangerous as it would be easy to slip and actualy fall out of the window (Room 106) to the pavement area below.

Very professional staff, very comfortable bed, strong wireless signal, unbeatable price, tesco express and boots across the street 50m, many dinner options available close by. Small bathroom, needed a new shower head, nothing serious.

Nice hotel in a quiet town centre. Friendly staff though a bit slow on a new years day. A small disorder after new years celebrations :)

I don't make a habit of writing reviews unless I am particularly impressed or unimpressed. Sadly, I was not impressed at all with the ramada cromwell. I had emailed a month in advance for a room suitable for my walking disabilities, which I had a reply to say they could accommodate me and that the restaurant etc would be open. On the day we had travelled over 150 miles and when we got there no such room was available because the cleaners had not bothered to clean all the rooms. The receptionist sent me miles around the hotel, up and downstairs 3 times to different rooms, which were so far from the main hotel area they exhausted me. I had to sit in the bar while my husband looked at the 3rd room. Along with no cleaners, there were no kitchen Staff, chefs at all to make food and it appeared that there were literally only 2 members of staff left to run the whole hotel. Neadless to say we left without staying. Shocking I have complained to Ramada and this [as far as I know] is being dealt with

Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and had everything I needed. I didn't use the bar or facilities as I was meeting other people locally, the hotel is ideally situated in the old town for the shops, pubs and restaurants. This is an older building compared to say a Premier Inn but it was cheaper and the value for money is a little better, the hot tap didn't work well in my room but I was able to shower, wash and shave ok.

Reception staff were very friendly and helpful at both ends of the stay. Room very comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Great stay.I Would recomend staying at Ramada Cromwell Stevenage. Had breakfast, full English which was rather disappointing it had obviously been kept warm for quite a while except for the egg which was freshly cooked. Given the price of the breakfast this was somewhat surprising. So much so that if I stayed there again I would not have full English breakfast.

The spacious room and bathroom and its cleanlines. The polite manner of the breakfast waiter. The rear entrance to the car park from the bedroom was convenient but the window fastener was rather old and awkward, and the net curtain could have been cleaner. I should imagine the single glazed window would be draughty in Winter.

I really liked that the Ramada was so close for family members to get to so they weren't driving all day. It was big enough to keep everyone and seat us all for the two parties. The staff was very courtious and professional. I also liked the fact the Ramada was close to nearby attractions, such as Hatfield House.
